These pants are ideal for active movement, I wear them on long and aggressive approaches to the crag and have no issue with comfort or worries with the pants ripping. They are extremely light weight and thin, but the material doesn't feel cheep at all. I am 5 '10 and 160 pounds and a slim athletic build, and I bought the 31 and they're perfect. I was comparing these to the other new climbing pants TNF made, but these have belt loops and that won me over. The only downfall of these pants is no butt pockets, thats unfortunate, but it has three front pockets which compensates.

A little on the expensive side, but I'm super happy with the purchase. I would recommend this to anyone.

Seams are starting to come apart on the front thigh, however I've gotten a lot of use out of these pants in the past year. Everything from biking and hiking to casual wear. Also the waist seemed a bit big. I would've sized down to a 33" waist if possible.

Love the pants, just wished the fit would be better. I'm 6' 220lbs and would say a bit swole. I know I'm not the stereotype of long hike, climbing athlete but actually do a lot of outdoor sport, hikes, camping. The pants fit good and are stretchy but the fit is more for a skinnier type. I'm usually a 38 but just in case went for the 40s The waist is loose and the thighs are too skinny for me. Love them but can't use them for actually outdoor stuff.

The fit was great, except for the length. I'm 6'2" and other Regular pants have been fine. I definitely needed to exchange these for Long. Otherwise, they are great!

These pants are great. Lighter than my Lululemon pants and more comfortable (but not dressy). The waist is very stretchy and I like the cut. Would buy again.

30 wasn't a true 30. Ran way large. Too loose. I needed a 28 to probably make this work. The knee zones didn't line up quite right either. Dig the design and material though. The hem drawstrings were a little fickle when trying to release all the tightness. The bottom right zipper pocket doesn't easily fit a big iPhone. Make smaller waist and length sizes. Make smaller sizes and I'll buy again.

Needed some new work pants for my personal training job that fit correctly & were great for movement. These fit the bill perfectly! The size gauge that TNF has worked spot on for me. Only worn a couple times but they fit, are stretchy & seem to breathe. They don't seem super warm as they are thin, but haven't had a cold snap yet to try them in. But I'm happy!

Had to return because the 34 has a cut that made them look weird on my body, but a great pair of pants , I didnt to get to use them. However if you need to return be aware that it takes forever for northface to process returns. On two plus weeks since I mailed them back and still havent receivers return

I think these pants rock, the waistband however is ever so slightly too large. I got the short inseam version and absolutely love these for climbing (allows for free movement)

These are a great pant for outdoor recreation or wearing out to grab a drink with your buddies. I really like the style they are true to size but might run a little on the small size.

Great pants! Super stretchy and comfortable. The black color online looks blacker then the actual pants I recieved. I am a 6.1 ft tall man and weigh 170 - the smallest size (30) is a little big on me and it is my normal size.

Basics/positives match prior reviews. Useful: 185lbs, 5'9", 36-37 inch waist, 45 inch hip, 31 inch inseam, prefer mid front rise 9.5" - 10.5" and back rise 15"-16". Measured the item in store and tried/opted for a 36 Regular. It measured 37.3" waist, 11" front rise, 16" back rise, 46" hip, and 30.5" inseam. FYI, the 38 R measures 39.5" waist with the other measurements matching a 36 R. Minimalist with sufficient pockets. From my perspective the price point is well placed for the features/fit and quality, compared to the competition, assuming usage is intended for wide range hikes/treks with minimal ice climbing or extreme ascents.

Extremely comfortable, Lightweight, Stretchable, Water resistant, No rear pockets would have given it 5 stars, Stylish but would personally like 2 normal pockets and 2 zipper pockets, Now my go to hiking pant

I love the Vanadis Grey/Mid Grey color combo with the orange highlights. Unfortunately, the fit is very odd. I had a pair of the Summit pants which are supposedly a slim fit too in the same size that fit great. The Progressor pants unfortunately are far too large despite also being a slim fit. Had to send them back, unfortunately didn't have my size in those colors anymore.
