I was pleasantly surprised at the size, as I'm an 8 1/2 and I ordered a 9. However, like most people, I have one foot that is slightly longer and narrower while the other is slightly shorter and wider. The 9 fit my longer foot perfectly, while the shorter foot is not "swimming" in its sandal. I don't notice any difference in the width between my feet. The leather is supple and is breaking in nicely without using any "techniques" (I am wearing stockings and not bare feet). The arch support is slightly less than moderate; however, I am surprised (once again) at how my feet do NOT ache at the end of the day. I do a lot of standing as well as walking during a regular day, and have noticed a bit less comfort in the former. I would definitely recommend this sandal. I am waiting to see how it holds up over time. . .catch me in a year! (I wear sandals daily.)

I absolutely LOVE these shoes. I bought them for vacation that included lots of walking in the city, as well as some light hiking. These shoes are perfect! They are so comfortable and really supported by feet all day long - no aching in the evenings. My only suggestion is to break them in first and/or get them wet to mold them to your feet. The leather straps felt quite tight (especially on the top of the foot) when I first wore them, so it felt like my feet were being "constricted" and the straps left marks. However, after wearing them for a day and getting them wet before putting them back on, they stretched out nicely to mold to my feet - no rubbing, excessive tightness, or irritation since! My feet feel super supported in these shoes, and they go with everything without looking like "old lady" comfort shoes. I'd buy these again, hands down.

These are cute, comfortable sandals that can be worn with shorts, pants or skirts. Overall I like them very much and will get a lot of wear out of them. My only negative comment is about the strap. It's a little bit loose and I had to have an extra hole put in it. For some reason I also have a very hard time buckling the strap - the leather is loose and it's awkward to manage. That wouldn't keep me from buying it, but I wouldn't advise anyone with arthritis or other small-motor challenges to get these shoes.

Love the style, colors and comfort. So far I have only worn them around the house and am excited to bring them on a warm vacation.

i wear a 7.5 in most shoes, although my running shoes and flip flops are usually a size 8. i got the size 8 OluKai AweAwe in black, and they are perfect. sometimes strappy shoes are too tight for me in a 7.5, but then i run the risk of the shoe being too long in an 8. this shoe was perfect for me in an 8. very happy with the casual style that is a step up from a too-casual flip flop.

This shoe is great. I’m a 7.5 and ordered both a 7 and an 8. The 7 fit Better than the 8, but was a little snug (as expected). Wish they made half sizes!

Absolutely love these sandals. I have them in two colors now. They go great with anything and I can walk in them forever.

The footbed is very nice. All the straps were very tight – and I am a B width – but they are full leather and would stretch. Overall, a good sandal – fairly casual. I wanted something just a bit dressier, and so am returning.

I have been shopping for a vacation sandal and this fits the profile of what i was looking for - casual, but not too sporty and can also be worn with casual skirts/dresses. Size wise, if you are a half size, I would recommend sizing up. I like a 5.5 in a sandal and the 6 in this one was not even a little bit too big. Sadly, I ultimately decided to choose another shoe because as other people have mentioned, the straps on this one are tight out of the box. And, although many people have attested that the leather would stretch, I was nervous as to whether that would be the case and whether it would happen in time for me to wear these (pain free) on vacation in 2 weeks. They were also a bit flatter than I prefer and didn't seem to have adequate arch support for walking long periods. But if I had the budget for a 2nd pair, I think I would have kept these and given it a try. Super cute and I love the color that I had selected (dark shadow/pewter), they were a nice neutral and the metallic was a nice matte finish.

These are fun and fantastic sandals. Except for one thing, one of the back straps was a bit stretched out and keep falling down making them look sloppy. I adjusted the buckle but to no avail. The problem only worsened over time, giving them a short life span. I liked them a lot, I would have loved them had they lasted longer. Even so I am contemplating buying a second pair as they are super comfy out of the box.

The sandals are actually cuter in real life than on the screen. Once you figure out where the straps are most comfortable on your foot, it's like a custom fit. They are very comfortable for walking in the city considering how flat they are. There is some arch support but not a lot. However, this style of sandal from other brands is usually completely flat so some is better than none. I can't speak to the width of the sandal as Zappos sent me the wrong width. They sent me a Wide instead of a Medium. I didn't want to deal with the hassle of returning them so just kept the Wide. The Wide version is not dramatically wider than the Medium from my previous experience with this brand. The only thing I am not crazy about is a small raised part at the front of the shoe where your toes are supposed to go.

I love these sandals, but the straps are way too loose, so I’ll have to send them back. I’m so sad, because they felt so comfortable and had great arch support. Wish there was a way to adjust the straps.

These sandals were so very cute, but I had to return them since they were just a bit too long. I also ordered a size 9 (I'm a 9.5, usually), and those were far too tight. If you're a half-size, these may not work for you.

The shoes are adorable and will go with anything (Sahara/Bubbly). I am used to Birks, so there could be a little more support, but they are better than flat sandals. I have not worn them yet, as winter is still raging on; however, I think that they will be fine. I am usually a 9.5, but the 10 was too large. The 9 is perfect. I look forward to wearing them this summer.

I liked the way they looked. And how soft and flexible the leather straps are. But they were way way *way* too tight. I'd read in reviews that they'll stretch with wearing, but that implies I'd get them on my foot to begin with. I have a *slightly* wide foot, but not wide enough that I need a shoe labeled wide width. Some brands/styles are just too narrow for me. Apparently, the 'Awe'Awe is one of those. Returned.

I've been searching for a pair of sandals for an upcoming vacation that are comfortable for walking long distances, but still cute and stylish. These are all of the above. Plus they have a back strap for extra support but I can practically slip them on like slides. They are a little more casual than expected...but more importantly so far very comfortable and cute with jeans, skirts or shorts.

I wear a size 8 and the 8 fit perfectly. The only issue is that the heel strap on the right sandal is slightly loose even buckled all the way. I was concerned about this as other reviews mentioned these shoes stretching a lot. So I ordered another pair hoping to swap out the right one. I was surprised when I received the second pair and they weren't the same color ! I ordered the java color and the original pair was the exact color I expected but the second pair was a medium brown color and not attractive. The leather didn't appear to be the same quality as the first either. So I sent them back and I am keeping the first pair despite the concern about the heel strap bc they fit well o/w and I have a hard time finding attractive shoes that fit. These were comfortable right out of the box and fit my arch. I will probably try more in this brand.

I'm really excited about these sandals. After three good summers of constant use, my cute little Blowfish Granolas finally fell apart and I needed to replace them. I thought about buying the exact same shoes again, but decided to try something new. I'm so glad I went with these. I love the look and they're ridiculously comfortable - definitely more so than the Blowfish. I typically wear a 7.5 when half sizes are available. When they're not, I'll often order a 7 and an 8 and keep the one that fits better. In this case, it was the 8. All in all, a great purchase and I highly recommend to anyone who is considering them!

I write very few reviews, but I love this sandal. I have all kinds of issues with my feet, and these are so comfortable I can wear them all day. I am so happy to finally find such a comfortable sandal that looks so nice!

These shoes were a nice color, were cute, had nice arch support, and were well-made. I would highly recommend them for the right foot shape. I have wide feet but not enough to wear a size wide shoe. Due to that factor, the arch support made the middle of my foot spread out and look a little "Fred Flintstone" so I looked for other alternatives. I do wish there were more dark brown leather options available.
