I've kept my old Dansko Lolita sandals going but they are in tatters. (I hate that name). The year before they stopped being made (2003?), a shoe salesperson told me they were the best selling women's sandal in the U.S. Chunky though they are, I could walk all day in comfort on city streets. So I was thrilled to see them for sale again. The new version has weirdly high straps over the instep, as several people have commented. Cross your fingers for me: I'm so desperate to get a fresh pair that I'm having my shoe repair store try shortening those straps to fit my feet.

Loved my old Lolitas, so I was excited that Dansko was making the Lolita again. Unfortunately, I have to return these. The straps across my foot are too loose, and my foot slides around.

These are a full size too large - order one size down. I've been wearing size 38 Dansko for about 14 years; will re-order in 37.

These were very comfortable and if I cared nothing for looks, I would have kept them. However, I returned them because the soles made them look like clunky, orthopedic clown shoes.
