Finally LOLITA is back. There's snow on the ground so I'll have to wait to really test these outside,but so far so good.If you need a very stable sandal for a med to wider foot this is it. it seems to fit just like the old Lolita did.I've tried some other danskos to try to replace my old Lolitas and they were all on the narrow side and not as stable to walk in.

YOU CAN NEVER GO HOME AGAIN: I am a former Lolita fan, and so the comeback was great news for me, but I am disappointed by the reboot. The materials used are not as substantial as before. Thinner leather is used for the straps, and the platform heel material is lighter weight, but it is very hard (plastic-y) and has poor traction and flexibility. I think to compensate for this they've intensified the texturing on the bottom, like the teeth of a cheese grater, but it is so abrasive and wraps around the side of the heel so that I managed to scuff my foot (ow) with the side of the heel of the other shoe. I used to dance a lot in my old Lolitas at street festivals but this texturing on the bottom is not well suited to this. This new Lolita doesn't have the perfect combination of stability, sturdiness, balance and style that I remember. Now it is just an OK sandal. Sizing: I used to wear a 36 in old Lolitas, even though I wear a 37 or 38 in other Danskos. I would recommend ordering 1 size down. This 36 was a bit snug, and the 37 was somewhat too loose. Another reason I will pass on these.

Had these in 2006 or so. Wore them out and am thrilled to see them back. They are slightly different than the older model, but I find them comfortable. I originally ordered the same size I had many years ago and had to order one side smaller this time.

This is a first for me. Just received the Lolita by dansko in sand in size 36. This is the cheapest pair of shoes I have ever seen. A first for dansko of which I have about 20 pairs from summer, spring,fall and winter boots which I love. The heel is very chunky almost orthopedic looking and looks like it's made from cheap plastic. I will say they are very comfortable but would never wear these out in public. Very disappointed in dansko. They are going back immediately.

I was so excited to see these sandals... and so very disappointed to have to return them. They reminded me of sandals Dansko make in 2003 or so, which were absolutely the most comfortable sandals ever! These new ones have all the benefits of the earlier version - a nice, stable, full width foot bed; not too high of a heel; and almost as good arch support as the original version. But the straps that cross over your foot stand proud of your foot which means they offer no stability when walking - my foot was slipping around loose on the platform. Tightening the ankle strap only made it uncomfortable around my ankle. These sandals were the correct size for the length of my foot, it was just that the straps did not wrap my foot so as to keep it on the platform.

Super cute sandals! Not as much arch support as my other Dansko sandals. Unfortunately, that is a deal breaker for my high arched, finicky feet. They are going back. Amazing Zappos service, as usual, though. Thank you, Zappos!

I love these shoes BUT I had a similar pair from Dansko where they had the stiching on the food bed and it rubbed the bottom of my foot and gave me a blister. I don't know why Dansko does this on some shoes but not others.

I purchased these shoes to replace the "idenitcal" pair I have had, and worn and loved, for over 20 years. The shoe was at least a half size too long extending almost an inch beyond my toes. The leather had a plastic feel. I wish the shoes were still mad in Denmark! I regretully returned them. I am grateful that Zappo's return policy is so easy and efficient.

I love the Lolita! I was so sad when they were discontinued. Two weeks ago I was browsing for Dansko sandals because I was just not thrilled with what I'd gotten to replace my last pair of Lolitas (probably pair #6). Then, voila!. There they were! I can't tell you how thrilled I was. I only ordered one pair because the other reviews made it sound like they'd changed. I can tell you they have not! They are almost identical. The sole is exactly the same. I still have my last pair of Lolitas, worn to shreds, to compare these new ones. There are two very subtle differences. 1. The buckle on this new one is slightly smaller in diameter, but the straps are identical; and 2. The material on the foot bed is a bit different than my last pair - but in a good way. The last pair of Lolitas had a swirly foot bed of two different materials. They wore unevenly rendering the shoes unwearable after many miles. This new pair has the same material over the entire foot bed so I expect it to wear more evenly. The older Lolitas also had a uniform foot bed. It was just the last model that had this strange duo material. So, I just ordered another pair! So happy!!

I recently wrote a review of a pair of size 38 Lolitas. The straps were too loose across the top of the shoe, so I had to return them. I have two pair of well-worn Lolitas, so I was sad they didn't work out. I decided to try a size 37. Perfect! I am going to order a pair in black!

Fabulous shoe and the red color is very pretty in real life. I recommend ordering a full size smaller! I am a consistent size 38 and had to swap down to a 37 for a correct fit.

Really like the style of this shoe, and it almost approaches having a rigid enough sole (required for my hallux limitus, aka big toe arthritis), BUT I found that age and dexterity issues mean that I cannot reach around to fasten the side ankle buckle. Darn! Have to send them back. P.S. Thanks, Dansko, for making other sandals with velcro fastenings.

Because this shoe has weirdly long straps across the instep, causing gaping, I ordered down a size. That was still a little loose across the top and too tight across my bunions. I could have worked with that and gotten them stretched by my shoe repair place, but I'm sending them back because of the color. The red on the Zappos site looks deeper and duskier than the real shoe. I like the Zappos red! The photo on the Dansko site is more true to life -- bright and loud in a way that doesn't work for me.

I had been wearing the Lolita since its inception and then Dansko discontinues it. So, when they cam out with it this year, I eagerly bought 3 pair in black, red, and beige. But, the top cris cross is much looser than previous pairs, and consequently I got some horrible blisters. I tried adding orthotics, because I really wanted these Lolitas to work, because I have terrible problems with plantar fasciitis. The construction of the sole is excellent, and it is not a problem, but my foot continued to move around, despite bandaids, moleskin, and Dr. Scholl's orate stuff. I was really sad and finally called to chat with a Zappos person who said to leave a review to let other customers know about this, and, sadly, I am having to return all 3 pairs. He suggested another style, Propet Aurora, #8822018, and I am going to order a pair and see how they work.

These shoes saved my Europe vacation! Was wearing sneakers with arch supports, but was having problems with plantar fasciitis. The stiff but lightly cushion of these sandals fixed the problem, so I could continue to walk. I wear these with nude footies, so the strap edges don't bother me. I have finicky feet.

The Lolita base is very comfortable for me and the straps fit my foot well. For some reason the shoe looks clunky on-screen, even in the video; it is much better looking in real life. The video model may be wearing one size too large for her feet. I believe the advertised sizing is off, and recommend ordering one size down. I normally wear a size 38 in Dansko/size 8 US; a size 37 is a good fit for me in this Lolita shoe.

My podiatrist recommended Danskos, and I need something for summer weather and walking. These shoes really fit the bill. I wore them around the house the whole first day and enjoyed the stability they provide. I have medium-wide feet, so these were a perfect fit for me. I have since walked on hilly streets with cobblestones and felt very secure in my footing.

Great show. Order one size down.

As others have said, the sizing is off with these. I used to wear a 39 in this (before the reboot) style. I am returning for a 38. I can’t say much else yet, because I can’t wear them.

I'm a longtime Dansko fan and these are my favorites of their sandals. I bought a black pair to replace some older ones of the same style. I get so many compliments on them and they are incredibly comfortable. The grey, rather than black, footbed looks a little odd, but it didn't stop me from keeping them.

The platform and foot bed extremely comfortable and supportive. I think these are a C width - I have a plump foot and wide ankle but must buckle on the last notch (my heels slope in not out). May have to have another hole pierced by shoemaker if I keep them. The toe box is wide. Also strap at center gaps a bit. I am so comfortable in them I may still keep these though. Should have velcro buckle and also toe strap adjustment. They look nice on my feet.

I was hoping these sandals would replace my beloved Lolita Dansko sandals from years ago. I was excited they brought them back. Although they look just like the previous version, sadly they do not feel as good. The leather on the straps is thinner, and looser so my foot moves around on the foot bed. The arch also doesn't feel as supportive. I have flat feet and stand all day at work, so stellar arch support is a must. Sadly, I will have to return. The search goes on for the perfect sandal.

I am a big Dankso clog and sandal fan, and purchased these to replace similar-looking sandals that I wore frequently during the past few summers. While they looked the same- I think they were "Stevies," Lolitas have a wider, blockier base that is better for pants/ casual wear. I can't picutre passing these off at work, so I am returning them and ordering Stevies. Lolitas will work well for people who find that there toes spill over the Stevies or similar models. Dansko, please keep both styles for next year!

These are really cute and felt good on my feet. The problem is the position of the buckle. It's too far back on the outside of my ankle, to be easy to do and undo (I have tendonitis in my wrist makes that angle difficult to deal with.) Sadly, returning them for one of the other Dansko's with the buckle in front.
