Bought this pair of Teva's for a European vacation and cruise in the fall. The color was perfect for my wardrobe. This pair has wider straps and I find the wider strap at the ankle very bothersome. The rest of the sandal is perfect.

I have never used hiking sandals before, but they came highly recommended by my hiking groups.
Positives: I enjoyed that they were extremely lightweight and good for longer hikes. They came in good colors! Matched my vibe well. I got a funny sandal tan line! I had no trouble walking over rocky or uneven surfaces, especially since I had been concerned about rolling my ankle earlier. That wasn't a problem in these.
Negatives: your feet will get dirty on unpaved hiking trails FAST. And they're difficult to clean (shoes, not feet). If you're planning on using off-trail, you might get a lot of grass and dry bushwhack stuck up the sandal straps which hurts and slows you down. I got a few blisters my first time wearing these out, but for the ease of a lightweight shoe that can be (arguably stylishly) paired with socks, not a huge concern.
Honestly, I don't think I'd buy again because I end up in too much bushwhack and my dawgs manage sweat better than dust and dirt. But I'm happy I have them now. They're very cute and once I figure out how to clean them better I'll be wearing them on paved trails only.

Only wore them a handful of times so far on paved surface. Strap over the toes feels a bit abrasive, could use some soft padding. otherwise fairly comfortable. would not recommend these for off road (mountain trail) hiking.

I wish they wouldn't squeek though, even when dry...

I had hoped to have better traction with this style but I still slide in areas that they should have gripped.

These Teva sandals have a slightly wider strap than all my others, which I found creates a sense of better security.

The soles are just as good as shoes. Clear they will last for years. They are pretty heavy so I would not use them for camp shoes or something like that where you want lightweight. But for easy hiking/walking and everyday wear they are amazing. I would rather put on these during the summer than shoes any day. 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the weight.

Love this sandal teva shoe thing. Rubs on my right foot a little but that will be gone soon. Good support all around. Love the weird color scheme. Very well built. Would buy again but probably won't have to because of how well built these things are.

I keep getting blisters from the straps on top of my foot along the big toe, the pinky toe, and sometimes below the ankle on the outside of the foot. The shoes would be perfect if they had padding like the universals. KT tape helps but is annoying and the adhesive always wears out and the bandage slides off.

Bought these for a trip to Hawaii and they did not disappoint. Great grip. Nice fit and the buckles do t rub or cut in due to their tapered shape. I would only like a little more arch support and Velcro that could be snugged a bit more for those of us with lower volume feet.

A solid sandel with a with a deep lug sole for good traction. There is some hard stitching + fabric edge where the straps come together that may cause a hot-spot on bare feet.

I would like the straps to be a little bit longer. I bought the size 14 Sandal, and the Velcro barely overlaps. I would also make the non-velcro grab-tab at the end a little bit longer. Guys with size 14 shoes have large fingers and it is hard to grasp those little tabs. But very comfortable sandals

Great fit and comfort. I wear these daily during the Summer while doing Landcaping jobs and they allow my feet to breathe and hold up to task. My only gripe is that the soles always let loose and then it is time to replace them.

Always buy a half size up because Teva doesn't offer wide models. An extra star if I could get things that fit right in all dimensions.

On some of the sandals be careful with the intersection where the over-the-leg straps meet the sole;
the seam at that spot can wear
thin/rough and hurt the side of your foot.
Aside from which I live in Tevas year-round. They are
so much more than my go-to footwear; they are my
feet's life !

In general I love this style shoe. Unfortunately, the size chart was confusing and I ended up buying the wrong size (one size too large). Since I can't find the papers from the shipping box, I need to find out how to return them. Will be sad if, while they were on sale when ordered they may not be when/if I reorder.

Shoe was longer than expected and I was slightly tripping over the extended front toe area. Decided to return and keep the other option I had considered. Limited arch support was not what I need for walking.

I mainly bought these in preparation for my job as a summer camp counselor. I've worn them almost every day for the past 5 weeks and they have been great! This past week I did start to notice some fraying on the tip of one of the straps in a place where it shouldn't be getting any wear whatsoever so that's perplexing. But for the time being, there is nothing else wrong with them and I'm expecting them to last a good while! I love my Tevas.
Oh I normally wear an 8.5/9 in normal shoes but the 9 felt way too big so I got an 8. Trying some on in person before ordering the color I wanted was a good decision.

My 4 year old pair of XLT2's has much better grip even now with worn down tread than my new ones. I also recmmend sizing up I wear an 8 and feel like I should have bought a 9.

The LOOKS are great and the footbed isn't bad. The straps are not at all comfortable around the little toe. For the overpriced sandal a couple dollars worth of padding wouldn't hurt.

These are very comfy and super sturdy. The only down side is the straps are short so a lot of the rough Velcro is exposed for me and you don't see a lot of the color. But they are good for hiking, walking and work! I Love Tevas!!

At first, the little plastic triangle was absolutely KILLING my feet as it sat right where my foot bends when I walk. After researching online, I found out I was wearing them too far back. I loosened all the straps, placed my foot squarely on the arch, and tightened the heel strap snuggly without moving my foot. Then I went for the toe strap, making sure to flex my foot a bit so it'd be loose. Finally, I strapped the ankle strap, leaning forward on my foot so it wouldn't be too tight when I lift my foot up.
Now my toes are right at the end of the sandal (which isn't awesome, I'd rather have a bit of buffer there) but the triangle doesn't hurt, and I can wear them every day with now complaints!
I've even played Spikeball in them and that wasn't half bad!

These are great sandals to walk around in and for hiking; however, they need to be broken in. I had only worn them for short level hikes before I took them on miles of uneven terrain. The toe strap on both sides cut my foot right below both my big toes. A week later and I'm still needing to bandage up both my feet. In all other aspects, these sandals are great. They are very supportive, comfortable (other than the big toe area), and have good traction on all types of terrain. I am a size 8-8.5 in women's and the M6/W8 fit perfect. I would definitely recommend these, but say to be cautious about the toe straps.
