I have a pair of 6 year old Tevas I need to replace, this model is the closest to what I already own but the quality is much cheaper. I'm so disappointed I returned them and will now consider getting Chacos

I have had this sandal for over a month. it is not comfortable. the straps remain to "stiff" and have not "broken in". i have owned multiple teva sandal styles in the past and all have been amazing. if i could return them i would.

These are nothing like my old Tevaswhich I LOVE. They are stiff and rubbed blisters on both little toes

I love the fit and color of my sandals but the soles separated and I almost fell when this happened. My husband was able to glue it together and we just hope that it lasts. I had really hoped that these sandals would last a long time, but not so sure now.

Straps wear stiff and scratchy. Could not wait to take the sandal off!

I purchased this shoe in my normal size. I had to return and reorder for a size down so that it would fit me properly. I wore this shoe for a few hours and had cuts on both of my feet from the shoe. It is very uncomfortable and definitely not worth the money. The straps are very stiff and kind of sharp which added to the cuts on my feet. I have never had a shoe so uncomfortable in my life.

I give up! These are reviewed as wider Teva's. Since I couldn't wear the classic model, I tried these. But Teva's are just too narrow. I have a medium width foot with moderate bunions on my toe bone. The fact that Teva's are narrower than most sandals AND they don't come in wide makes them unwearable for me! The toe strap rubs on both my bunion and pinky toe where it attaches to the sole, doesn't matter how lose I make them. Funny, I bought a knock off pair of Tevas from a big box store in medium width and they fit me just fine. Tevas are so popular these days, I wish they'd come out with wide width.
I'd also recommend:

Hugely wide footbed. Looked like Flintstone shoes. A definite no-go for my narrow foot.

The sandal was way to large. I ordered and got a womens 8 but it could easily fit a 9 foot

I expected a lot because Teva's are highly regarded as the most trusted active sandal, but wow did these disappoint. The straps are majorly uncomfortable, made from a super rough material that after walking around in for the first time just around my block, made me so uncomfortable I had to race home to take them off with blisters already forming. What's ridiculous is that they clearly know that this material is crappy because they pad one area on the back of the heel with an actually nice fabric to prevent blisters yet neglect everywhere else on the shoe. Would 100% NOT recommend to anyone.

I've had a pair of Tevas that have lasted for over 20 years and have been used a TON in every kind of situation, including some serious backpacking and even doing much serious heavy construction work on my house (building 11 decks, insulating 2 attics, refinishing a giant house-worth of cedar siding). The only thing got me to look at buying a new pair is that the velcro ankle strap finally wore out. So I bought these womens Hurricane XLT2s in Canyon-To-Canyon color in early summer 2020. By the end of a few months of very mild use (one backpack trip and otherwise just wearing around the house) the shortest strap that is near the little toe started fraying and falling apart. This is where it attaches to the triangular plastic piece that all the straps wrap onto. This is on both of them. And it is a DANGEROUS defect. What if these straps gave way while backpacking? Or even just walking down some stairs? Or while I'm up on the roof checking on something? Perhaps this is only happening on this particular color. I'm hoping so because I need another pair for this season and am hoping another color will not fray like this. Contacting customer support for either an exchange or a refund. Like so many other things, it seems Tevas "ain't what they used to be." Sad, sad, sad.

I love Teva sandals, I've been buying them for years. I was so excited to see the new colors and bought me a new pair. Is the economy so tight that you can't afford to make straps anymore? What the heck happened? When I opened them up I could immediately tell they weren't going to fit. With the strap all the way closed, there was maybe 1/2 inch from the strap to the shoe. No one has a foot that flat. When I put it on, it took every bit of the strap for it to go around my foot. Now I know I have wide feet but that's why I've always loved Teva because they fit so good. I'm so disappointed!! Invest the money into the straps and make them long enough to go around the foot.

The sole is great and cushy. The straps are placed nicely and adjustable. The padding on the inside back straps works well as preventing blisters but what were you guys thinking when designing the rest of the shoe? All of these front straps are not padded and so uncomfortable. They dig and cut in your foot even after adjusting them. These sandals are a great disappointment. I personally feel like I wasted my money on these and although I expressed my concerns to customer service, nothing was done yet. There are much better options out there!

have bought this item in size 9 before and was very happy with it, but now the same size is not the same size - straps are shorter, foot bed is narrower, it like every part of it was trimmed back to save on materials. Not happy.

Tried to replace old Teva sandals I use for wading in salt water. Not the same. Straps more flimsy and cut into feet because there is no cushion where strap meets sole. (Perhaps Tera Fi 5 Universal would be the better choice. However, there would still be a problem with size. Ordered women's size 10: sole much too wide and too long. Not in original box - sent men's sandal?)

Not comfortable at all. Recycled material feels plastic and hot. Previous sandals made of leather were great and these are not a replacement for previous models. Very disappointed in quality.

My last Tevas lasted almost 20 years. I can't see these Hurricane XLT2's lasting more than one season. They cause a blister in the toe area, even after adjusting the straps. They are much thinner than my last Tevas. Oh well....I will go with a different brand from now on.

This was my first pair of Tevas. I bought them for walking and leisure. They created deep bruises on the balls of my feet and the plastic buckled rubbed blisters on the tops of my feet. I packed them for vacation but they hurt me so badly that I had to buy another pair of shoes to get through the remainder of my trip. So disappointed.
