I was so disappointed with the current Teva hiking sandals that I returned them. I think Teva has shifted its focus from good quality hiking sandals to pretty rubber sandals to wear around town or at the pool or beach. The new straps are only padded at the heel. The new straps are very thin, stiff, and aren't even cut with rounded edges.

I have always loved Teva sandals. I had a pair probably in the 90"s that were great. The groove on the footbed does pinch my foot in the newer sandal. It is a terrible design flaw as another reviewer mentioned. I gave them to my daughter and she has not mentioned it. But to get a pinch with every step it really unfortunate. I am writing this so that the shoe designer can hear it and change it for new models.

I have 4 pairs of Teva Sandals and 2 pairs of Teva boots in my closet right now. I've been a Teva customer for 25 years. This is the first pair I have been disappointed in. The perimeter of the outside sole is a hard plastic with rubber in the middle, which gives less traction. Immediately noticed the difference. Love the multi color, but craftsmanship and materials seem to be getting cheaper and price keeps going up.

These are made of a strong nylon type weave and they are giving me bad blisters. I did not expect to have to 'break in' this type of shoe. Someone recommended wearing around the house with socks on :(

No matter how I adjust the straps, they dig into my foot. My feet are narrow/medium. So disappointed, I walk a lot and thought these would be good for my feet.

My first pair that didn't work out! I've worn Teva sandals for at least 2 decades, I love them and they last me years and years of heavy wear, even when the fabric on the straps are worn, the soles hold up. So it's been a really long time since I needed a new pair. I got these because the value was great. Unfortunately, they run about a 1/4 size too big and are wide enough around the toes to look like I'm wearing flippers. These just won't work.

I use my Tevas for every day use. This pair just isn't as comfortable or sturdy.

These shoes are about 1/2 in wider than the pair I was replacing and feel like i'm wearing a pair of flippers.

Have bought multiple Teva active sandals for walking and water use over many years. These are not for that purpose. If you are looking for casual use sandals (of which there are many alternative brands) then these are nice. Sadly, I will have to try to find a new brand or consider men's active sandals.

I purchased these to replace a pair I've had for 7 years. The molded plastic that forms the base of the sandal is scored (has a line etched across the area directly under the ball of the foot). Every time I walk this line pinches my skin and it feels like I have something permanently stuck under my foot. It is horrible. I am so disappointed because I loved my old pair and they broke. This is cheap material, squeaky when you walk and simply not as nice. But I really can't believe they put a line in the inside on the plastic that is this irritating.

If TEVA thinks this sandal replaced the Terradactyl, they are assuming all of us lack intelligence. Please bring back the original design. This felt and looked cheap compared to the older or original design. I will pay more for the nicer sandal. Happy to pay more!

I find the soles and foot bed of the sandal to be extraordinary wide ie, extends far out from the foot. They are comfortable, but I would not say VERY comfortable. These will be good enough to wear everywhere but out for the day/evening.

The straps are not straps at all but thin, flimsy ribbons. Not for repeated hard wear. Also, customer service had assured me that these were the same size as my other Tevas. Wrong! I have had several size 9 Tevas for years and still wear 3 of them comfortably. This was much too short. While I could have.exchanged for a larger size, the inferior straps were a definite turnoff. Also, arch support was not as promised by customer service either. Alas, goodbye Teva. You used to be terrific, but no more.

I like the color and the way the shoes fit and look. Took the sandals to the beach and wore them for about an hour as I waked around the shore with water rolling up to my calves. When I went to take off my sandals I noticed that where the front strap connects to the footbed there was a small hole at the footbed. I was berry disappointed as this was my first time wearing these tevas.

I REALLY wanted to like these since I need a good pair of hiking sandals that I could wade through rivers with for an upcoming trip, and these seemed perfect. Unfortunately after walking around the house in them for a short time, I realized that the grooves bisecting the upper foot bed pinch the bottoms of my feet as I walked around, and rubbed uncomfortably (those edges are sharp!). This is a grievous design flaw since these shoes are otherwise perfect. If you have tough, calloused feet this probably won't be an issue for you, but if you have sensitivity this aspect will likely be uncomfortable. So bummed!
I'm not thrilled with the way the strap padding rubs against my feet with the Terra-Float 2 Universals, either, so those are a wash, and the Terra-Float Universal Lite (WANT) won't be back in stock until the end of July (who timed that fiasco?? It's already summer!), so I'm really out of luck with Tevas this summer.

Loved the all red color, but on this style the footbed is so wide and clunky looking that I knew I would never wear them. They are much wider than my other Teva sandals especially across the toe area.

I purchased my sandals two years ago. The left sandal is falling apart. The glue has come apart from where the sole is attached to the sandal therefore I am no longer able to wear them. The right sandal is still in perfect shape. I contacted customer support & because I purchased them over 1yr ago they will not help. One can see that there was a flaw in one of the sandals since the other one is still in perfect shape. Very disappointing when a company does not stand behind their products when something was obviously defective.

I loved how they looked and how the straps felt which is what made returning them so sad! The grooves on the footbed pinched and dug into the bottom of my foot. Even with socks I could feel the groove pinch with every step. When i took them off the ball of my foot felt raw and had an indent from the groove. I do not know why it is there, but these shoes would be perfect if they just got rid of that.

These sandals are cute but don't work for me. I have narrow feet so I got these because I assumed I could adjust the straps for a snugger fit. Unfortunately after adjusting as far as I could it's just too loose so walking for long is uncomfortable. I would return them but unfortunately I have worn them already. Please advertise these are not for people with narrow feet.

The quality is just so atrocious I'm not going to give them another try. I thought there was maybe just a "bad batch" of Teva Hurricane XLT2s, but no. After buying and sending back pair after pair because the sole separates after from 3-5 months, I am now done. I can't do this forever and I can't keep being in the middle of something and have the treads separate from the sole of my shoe! This is not just this style of Teva either. The same thing happened with the Hydratek flip flops and based on what I've read all over the web, since Deckers bought Teva the quality has gone to zero. I literally have pairs of Tevas that were worn summer after summer on hikes, through water, camping, swimming, you name it, and they are still in great shape 18 years later. But the last 3-4 pairs I've bought I have had to return and then return the return...on and on. These shoes are way too expensive to have to replace in less than a year's time. Another company ruined by greed.

I bought these 2 days ago while on a trip in New Orlean's. Of course the French quarter requires a lot of walking and I thought these would be great. Oh, I was so wrong. We went on a 2 hour walking tour and about 30 minutes into it, my feet started to hurt. No matter how many times I adjusted my feet and the straps. It only got worse. By the end of the tour, I could feel blisters on two of my toes and behind my ankle. By the time we got back to the hotel, I had terrible blisters on my big toe, small toe and was bleeding behind my ankle. I will be contacting the store to request a return/refund/exchange. If I could attach photos, I would.

Strap broke within the first hundred steps. Instead of sending them back and waiting for a replacement, I opted to just sew them up myself.
