Ive been a long supporter of Teva sandals. Ive had my first pair 11 years ago when the outsoles were still mush! Had about 6 pairs since and this was the latest pair i got. I truly think the universal are better sandals than these pair because ive slipped and fell twice on Singapore streets with these. Albeit it rained but I never had to worry with the rest. Got a pretty bad abrasion from the most recent fall. Im okay but ive climbed very steep hills with Tevas during my travelling adventures and i can only imagine falling to my death if I had these on. Im running a race this weekend so bad timing to fall too!

Before I bought these Teva sandals, my past 3 pairs of Tera sandals were a size 8. What came this time was a size 8, but they are definitely shorter than the others. My big toes stick out over the sandals, and I do not have time to play around with a new correct measurement, am not sending them back, and even though I had wanted to order a fourth pair of Teva sandals (because my older sandals are getting worn), I'm donating them to the Vets and holding on to one old pair. In the past I raved about my sandals to everyone, wearing them all four seasons. I no longer feel confident about ordering and playing the new correct measurement game. I am very disappointed.

my small left toe is affected by the left strap. Rubbing. Have tried all adjustments. Unable to walk/hike with them.

I have tried to wear these sandals 2 - 4 times, but, every time the strap at my left small toe, has rubbed the toe and caused friction damage to it. I have been wearing Teva Olowahu flip flops for a few years, and have 4 pair at present . They are the first sandals of that type that I was able to and still wear. I love them.
I bought the Hurricanes to use to hike, but should have sent them back right away. What can I do now?

The size and fit were excellent. However, when I wore them for an extended period of time, the piece of plastic where the straps meet on the inside of the foot dug into my skin. While it may seem minor, it was remarkably painful. I noted before purchasing them that another reviewer had this problem, but I thought (somehow) that it wouldn't affect me. I was wrong and will be returning them.

I really like these sandals and wish they were made better. I bought this style 2x over the past 2 years (first time the sole detached I was hoping it was just a fluke), but unfortunately with both pairs, the glue on holding the sole to the rest of the shoe completely failed after less than 1 year of low-impact wear. Really disappointing for an outdoor sandal like this. Please make this shoe more durable!

Absolutely amazing looking sandals I love the way they look. But it is nearly impossible for me to wear as the stripes are very rough and hard do they hurt the skin on my feet.

TLDR: The straps take FOREVER to dry!! Not fun having wet feet all day.
I owned a pair of hurricanes from 2017-2022 and they withstood several years of stream surveys, many miles of hiking, and everyday use. They were my favorite shoe. They finally gave out, and I thought I'd just replace them easily with the newer version.
I was wrong.
The new version is comfortable, but the straps take FOREVER to dry! I love the recycled PET idea, but something is off with how the straps dry which makes them stink up real fast. My old pair would only take 2-3 hours to dry, even faster when I was still hiking around. These take about 1-2 business days. It's frustrating to have wet feet all day, or to put on wet shoes the next day!
They don't make them like they used to, so I may have to switch to Chacos... gasp.

Since they have no half sizes, order up. Also very stiff and the straps are irritating.

I have a pair of teva water sandals i bought six years ago i still wear to do yard work i spend a lot of time trout fishing in summer months i wear teva water sandals walking river and creek beds flying fishing last year i bought two pair of teva water sandals to trout fish both pairs the soles separate before the end of the summer. Teva water sandals used to last several years the water sandals today will not last two months if used in and around water before soles separate and the sandals come apart. The glue you are using is inferior. I have been buying teva water sandals for twenty years the quality of water sandals is not what it was i hope you will address these issues and make quality water sandals again.

The sole was harder than I expected - not very comfortable. Also the shoes has a strong unpleasant odor, mothball-ish.

TEVA used to make a great sandal. They removed some of the under padding on straps and it shows in feel, comfort and the cost of the reduction in product did not come across to the consumer. Wouldn't buy again.

I liked the fabric and the arch and foot bed but the unisex sizing doesn't really fit my foot. Tried the smaller size and it was too small and the larger about half size too big. I kept the larger one since I had already returned the smaller size.

These are not much like my old Hurricanes. I'm not crazy about these. They fit a bit off. I would return if I hadn't worn them now.

I have been a loyal Teva owner for years. With foot issues that date to birth, I have to be very selective as to what I can buy since I buy two pairs to fit my different size feet. The arch support can't be just comfortable, but they literally allow me to actually walk without a cane. My oldest pair is almost 20 years old. I've replaced the velcro once and reglued a portion of the sole, but other than those minor issues they still hold up and I even wear them into the ocean. The pair I just bought (Hurricane XLT2) is still comfortable, but the quality isn't any where like prior years. Maybe sourcing of material has proved difficult and more expensive to make in Vietnam versus China where my prior shoe was made. The density of the rubber is less and the footbed isn't one solid material but seems to be more a composite that is molded together around the edge proving to be less durable. Teva has a great warranty where they will take it back within a year if need be. The only problem is I wouldn't wear sandals in the winter and parts of other seasons so it would be a short time wearing that would indicate any problems. I hope Teva returns to the quality of product to match their amazing customer service team. So helpful when I had issues with another pair I returned.

Loved my Hurricane Drifts, so purchased these as an upgrade for a big trip with lots of hiking and walking. I wore them one afternoon around the neighborhood right after receiving them and was immediately subjected to blisters. The fabric from the strap wrinkled at the outer triangle loop and kept rubbing the top of my foot. I tried so many adjustments of the straps and finally had some relief from the friction. But then I was managing foot pain from the straps becoming too tight. I love the openness of tevas, but felt the wide toe box was irrelevant when I had to make the straps that tight. My feet were hurting after only wearing them for an hour or two.
They are very durable, but a bit heavy. I'm still wearing them in short intervals and what not, but I'm not very satisfied.

The sole of the sandal was so stiff it was difficult to walk correctly in them. And they only came in medium width, and the one strap was too snug to wear comfortably.

Straps don't have enough cushioning and seems to run a bit small. Prefer the Terra Fe 5, but they don't offer it anymore. Was lucky to finally find it at an online store.
Bring back the Terra Fe for women!!!

I bought these since my daughter raved about hers. These are cute, but the straps are place too low for my ankles, they rub & are uncomfortable. I buy the OLOWAHU Teva saddles & will stick with them. I was wanting a sandwich I could wear in the water & these aren't them.
