So full disclosure, she hasn't actually worn it out in the rain yet, but it sure looks like it will do the trick nicely. The top part is fairly well fitted, especially for a rain jacket. The bottom part is wider and flares out just a little bit. It also is long enough to cover your backside and keep it dry. Color is great, seems very functional for normal activities.

I just purchased this raincoat to replace my other Columbia jacket that started getting too small & snug. I love that this jacket is long enough to cover my butt & its very light weight. I ordered the XL so I can wear layers underneath; it fits comfortably with no added bulk. I wore this jacket in pouring rain, I was dry as a bone. Great quality! I love the blood orange color too, it really pops & looks amazing!

This jacket is solid! It's sturdy and does what it says it will do, keep you dry.

Love this raincoat; very attractive, cute print in the navy hex print, covers nicely, high quality materials and construction, and the price was excellent. And the other reviews helped me make the right choice in a medium to allow for a sweater to be worn comfortably underneath, I am normally a small.

We bought this jacket for our daughter for her birthday. She absolutely loves it! She has to walk a few blocks to get to the train station to get to work. It rains lots here! This jacket is very compact so she can carry it without any extra burden. But when she needs it it works perfectly - protecting her work clothes on the way! The quality is outstanding and it's design covers all that needs covering! It's lightweight and not restrictive over her clothes. A really great product and definitely worth the cost.

I love the color, the hood, the velcro sleeves, and the length of the jacket. I needed a new rain jacket as I had to replace my other that was 10 years old! It is lovely and I plan on folding it up and taking it to Ireland for my summer vacation provided traveling is safe. Very nice jacket, no regrets!!

I love this coat so much!!! When I lost it, I immediately replaced it. Extremely well made. It's very versatile- warm enough for cold wind & rain but light enough for warm weather. If you are tall ( I'm 5'10") this is the perfect coat for you!! Sleeves & body of the coat are long!!!!

I LOVE THIS JACKET! In the PNW, Spring and Fall are pretty much given it will rain at least a few times a week. My son loves to play in sandboxes and at the playground in the rain. I love how long this jacket is, so I can sit and play with him without my butt getting soaked. It keeps the rain out really well. I went for a run while he bikes in the rain and I stayed dry the entire time. Definitely a great purchase! I also love the secret pocket on the inside.

Love the style and fit of this jacket, I'm approximately 5'8 and 140lbs and ordered a size medium so I could have room to throw on a sweatshirt. I love the length, was specifically looking for something to cover my behind when wearing leggings etc. Great quality as always with Columbia, you can't go wrong...

I love this raincoat and it standards out to others. I have room for a sweater under and like that is breathable. It will pack nicely for travel.

Love the Velcro on the sleeves to make them tighter. The hood and high neck is also a great feature

This raincoat is great! From the length, the waist design, the breathabilityeverything! This raincoat comes down to about my mid thigh and by doing so it always keeps my front of my pants dry. With normal waist length raincoats you often end up keeping your upper body and head dry but have to deal with soggy pant legs when you get to your destination. I originally purchased this length based on seeing the sleeve lengths on the other Columbia raincoats (these sleeves seemed the longest at the time) and I'm so happy I did. This will now be my second raincoat due to needing a different color. I originally bought the whitish color but found that it tends to show a build up of dirt during the season but the coat touching different surfaces when wet. It doesn't seem to stain and washes well. I purchased the dark blue this time and I should have better luck. Aside from the color choice issue I had, I've had no issues. The zipper is sturdy, pockets have adequate room and it even has a small chest pocket on the inside of the jacket. Its more of a rain jacket for spring or summer, as it's not insulated and won't keep you warm if it's particularly chilly and rainy in colder months. I have one of the insulated raincoats for colder months like the beginning of spring or late fall when there's colder temps and you need layers. I'm a small in this rain jacket and the small fits comfortably with enough room for a thicker layer like a sweater. The waist design is an added bonus also, as it comes in little bit so you don't look like a complete potato sack trying to keep yourself dry in the rain.

I needed a new rain jacket. I like mine a little longer. This is a great length, I also went with the black cherry color. It's not a color I would normally pick but glad I did. The zipper pockets are great and I'm very happy with this jacket! Works very well and great quality.

I love this raincoat! I need the hood and the length covering my bottom to manage life. My last two raincoats ripped early in their life, so I went back to a Columbia product - I'd had one years ago that I just wore out. Hope to do the same with this one!

This rain coat is perfect! When traveling it folds down to almost nothing, taking very little room in your luggage.

My new jacket is exactly what I'll need for an upcoming vacation. Light weight, rain proof and the pattern is cute too!

This is a beautiful rain jacket. Unfortunately, it fit me a whole size too small. I had to return the jacket for a size larger and it fits perfect.
