The best shoes. If anyone says they look weird, ask them, “do they really though?” I mean it’s the exact outline of our feet. So is it really weird or are normal shoes weird?

I do prefer the runners but these are a sturdier alternative. I’m a nurse and have been wearing Five Fingers while working the floors working 12 hr shifts for about 5 years. Comparatively, these feel about 1/2 size smaller than the runners that I’ve purchased many times before but I’m hoping they will stretch a bit over time as my other have.

These fit my feet well. I can’t compare them to other Vibram styles because this is my first pair, but I have worn other similar shoes (Fila Skeletoes) and these are much more comfortable. It’s definitely a good idea to wear them for short periods if you aren’t used to toe shoes, but they are very comfortable if/once you’re used to having your toes separated in shoes.

The 4 small toes are too long, and the sole is much thinner than in the past. Five fingers are the the same good quality as in the past. The trek ascents were the best of the lot.

First pair of truly barefoot shoes purchased though have been eyeing them for several years. Wear them on treadmill. Next pair will not have separate toe structure as these are pain in butt to get on correctly. But worth the effort. It is wondrous to feel earth beneath one's feet wearing them.

Wanted to try these shoes (or shoe lettes) for years, but was hesitant due to the lack of cushioning and arch support, two items I believed I had to have in sneakers. What appeals to me is their lightness, the way they "mold" or fit the natural shape of one's foot. No more trying to fit a wide or narrow foot into a manufactured fit. They are very comfortable. Wore them on the treadmill today; it was fine. Takes a minute to get all toes in correct toe space, but once all toes present in their slots, easy to lace up the shoe and off you go. Based on the reviews, I went up 1 size (from 41- 42 ). In Birkenstock sandals I wear a size 40, in clogs I wear a 41. I vote YES for shoe lettes or barefoot shoes.

I've worn vff's for 15 years or so, mainly for hiking. I've used these V-Alpha's every day for a few weeks now, I can say they are definitely my favorite pair yet. So comfortable and grippy, no chafing, no pressure points. I don't wear socks and it does feel like they wick sweat away. They dry quickly after a wash, or rain. Great job on all points! ? My feet are loving them!

I've worn vff's for a while to hike in, used to order 44's. They make them differently now and that is too tight, 45 now fits like 44 used to fit. I had to find out the hard way by ordering, returning, and re-ordering. In-between I also ordered V-Trail 2.0 model, which it turns out have sharp bulky sewn seams between the toes that make them painfully unwearable. So had to return those too, even though they fit! Lots of waiting. In any case, these V-Alpha shoes are here, and they are great. Super comfortable and grippy! All's well that ends well. Thanks for great customer service Zappos!

Been wearing these for about a week now and they fit great. I am originally a size 12 in typical brand name shoes and ordered the 11.5-12 which fit perfect. So far so good, we’ll see with time how the quality holds up.

Size was great. Stones seem to start bruising the sole of the feet on long walks in gravel. Large rocks and smoother surfaces seem to work better. We wear them a lot in the summer.

I've worn five different pairs of Five Fingers over the last 12 years. These are the truest to size I've had yet. Previously I had to size down, but these are perfect at my standard size. These are the most "constructed" I've had. It makes them slightly warmer to wear (they're thicker and less breathable) and a little less barefoot. But better for hiking and trail running, which was doable, but often painful in the KSOs. The EL-X are still my all-time favorite for street running and working out, but I think these V-Alpha are more versatile and approachable for more people. They are my go-to for sports and exercise, with VivoBarefoot as a better business-casual option and Xero sandals for relaxing.

Love these shoes. This is my second pair for the gym since you don't wear socks with them and you can wash them and let them dry. I would go barefoot all of the time if I could and these shoes are light enough to be a close second. They remind me of my old track sprinting shoes. The individual toes allow you to spread them out and grip onto surfaces better for balance. If you get a size too big that doesn't completely fit snugly to your feet, you will have some breaking-in difficulty and possibly more issues down the road with blisters or cuts. I would make sure they are tight when going on almost like a sock. I will buy others pairs as they wear out, but I have had my original pair for years and still using them.

They fit great. They let the cold in pretty easy and as you can imagine they look different than everyone else’s shoes.

These are really great. It took several attempts to find the right size but it was worth it (thx Zappos for easy returns).

I like my Vibram FiveFingers V-Alpha, at first look it's like no way but then I tried these and well ok! I will buy more of this style shoe but with heavier insulated top and thicker soles I'm sold on them! A good buy.

I have wide feet and ordered a size larger. Will not do that again, as the D width fit my EE wide feet. Do enjoy them and feel "liberated" when I wear them. Not the best for gravel and busy city streets, so be careful when on jagged rocks or sharp objects. But honestly, you should be careful for that stuff anyway. I took a chance on these and was not disappointed. Will be buying more. The only real downside is putting them on. Can be hard fitting in the right toesleeve. Also, have no idea how these will do in the winter or wet weather. Probably not the best for those scenarios.

There is a stitch line in the middle of the big toe on my left shoe. This stitch line pertrudes and digs into my big toe and makes the shoe very uncomfortable. The "right" shoe fits perfectly with zero issues. I'm sure this issue doesnt occur on all of the shoes and is just a mistake. I will be returning this and ordering another pair and hopefully both will have proper stitching.
