Super lightweight, flexible, wide width, comfortable! As soon as my 3 yr old put them on, he jumped up and down saying, "these fit! they are not too little for me!" We've struggled to find shoes wide enough for him and I'm relieved that these work! Waiting to see the durability...

My 4 year old likes these. He is currently outgrowing his last pair of New Balance. I will say the top toe area is coming apart a little, but not so much that I'm concerned about buying another pair. These are lightweight and flexible. They are easy for him to take on and off by himself.

My 4 year old grandson wears only red shoes. And he has wide feet. This is the 3rd pair of New Balance I have bought him and he likes them. He needs his shoes loose enough to put on all by himself at preschool so the option to buy a W works for that also. We love New Balance and zappos.

My child wears AFO leg braces. Finding extra wide shoes to fit properly is very hard to do. I purchased about eight pairs of shoes and his foot slid into these(without inner pad) perfectly.

These are amazing! My son wears smos and these are the FIRST shoes ever to be found that actually fit his braces! Yay! They are very affordable and the style is great. They are pretty supportive and make great outdoor shoes for the playground. I like them so much I bought three pairs. The color is amazing too. Super fun and bright.

LOVE THESE SHOES. My toddler has rather wide feet, is very active, and usually dislikes shoes. As soon as we put these on his feet, he rolled up onto his toes and squealed happily. Never had we had a shoe with that reaction. He doesn't even care if we keep them on once he's inside, and that is rare. It is definitely a running shoe: lightweight with great breathe-able mesh at the toe. Very quick and easy to put on. I will be buying this shoe in the next sizes up and stocking up on this style.

These fit well for my son (true to description), are comfortable, and give decent support.

This was a great fit for my 2 year olds chubby feet. Not to wide around the ankle but wide around his toes so they stay on! Now he won’t have to wear socks and Velcro birks all winter ??

These shoes have held up to an extremely active toddler. Overall, the shoes are made extremely well. My biggest issue was stuff always sticking to the Velcro - which is, admittedly, a problem with most toddler shoes. These shoes also we're not as wide as I was hoping they would be. If you're in the market for a good, sturdy shoe that can hold up to almost anything, this is one to consider.

My daughter is rocking her sneakers and absolutely loves wearing them so I’m assuming she’s comfortable!

Bought these for my daughter who wears an AFO brace on her left foot only. Her right foot is almost a size 4 - so we bought a size 4 in this same shoe, and a size 5 XW for her braced foot. THe shoes just barely fits over the brace, and with the brace's straps it made it a tiny bit difficult to get the sneaker over on the first few tries. But, as sneakers do, it's been broken in and goes over the brace much easily. My only complaint is that I wish NEW Balance had an option to purchase a longer velcro strap for her braced foot. It just barely reaches over the brace. With that said, her Physical Therapist did a mini hack on it and added velcro for some length until I'm able to get to a shoe repair to make a more permanent fix. Over all, satisfied with the shoe. Gives her good support and fits over the brace.

I'm not sure it's entirely fair to describe this as narrower than marked, but I had high hopes for these as shoes that could fit orthotics (AFOs). They don't really - I think the elastic laces result in a toe box that's too narrow if you're starting off already needing wide shoes before you add orthotics. They seems great otherwise though.

My two-year-old likes these shoes, and has no complaints about their comfort. My only gripe: The faux laces are easy for inquisitive little hands to tug out of shape, but difficult to impossible for even patient adults to restore to their original positions.

These were smaller than I thought they would be. My grandson wears a size 7 (toddler) I thought they would be a half size larger but they were smaller as a size 71/2 his toe touched. I had to return them. Thank you Arizona shopper

The fit was good, the shoes come in wide and extra wide. However, they are quite stiff, my toddler complained as soon as I put them on his feet that they pinched his ankles.

My son gets frustrated because he has to pull the tongues out every time before he does the Velcro.

My son wanted red shoes and has wide feet so it didn’t leave us with many options. These were cute, looked comfortable, but I hate the elastic “lace” part of the shoe. It makes it difficult to ensure a proper fit. This is the second pair of New Balance I’ve tried for him recently that I have not liked so I think I’m gonna try a different brand now.

Returning because I did not like that the footbed liner was removable and didn't lay completely flat in the bottom of the shoe. I foresee it being an issue with it coming out when taking shoes on and off and I just don't have time for that! It almost seemed like the liner was a half size too big but did dare try to trim and make the problem worse.

the stitching at the top of the toe area ripped out within 2-3 weeks of wearing this shoe. surprised as normally NB makes a good shoe. the velcro holds up better than most nikes. Zappos exchanged so hoping it was just the one pair.

I liked the style so much that I bought a second pair for my son, despite the fact that the first pair fell apart in a matter of weeks. The second set barely made it ten days before the glued seams started to separate. JUNK!
