I always have worn an eight in Merrells . This was too loose for me to keep.

I have worn Encore Merrills & Merrills of similar style but in leather for MANY years. This latest Encore had slight modifications such as the mesh all around the shoe instead of a strip of leather (?) at the top around the foot. Hopefully this will prevent the material from wearing away like the previous material. Also the area on the heel was a different color or material which hopefully will prevent the right heel from getting dirty from driving. BUT while I am keeping the shoe, the fit has changed. While the size is the same size I've been wearing, it actually is a little shorter than my previous pair. Also the height over the foot is actually higher. One of the reasons I like Merrills is the comfort. Except for dinners out, it is the only shoe I wear around the house & around town running errands. I wear them about 95 % of my day. The other reason is the foot bed comes out and I can put my orthotics in. This new pair is so much higher around the top of the foot that I can actually leave the foot bed in AND insert my orthotics. Hopefully, it will be ok in the long run. co

I love these shoes!! this is my third pair...I have worn them everywhere, including the beach!! They are really great shoes for almost anything...and I wanted a pair to keep nicer, so I could wear them out. However, this pair actually feels like the right shoe is 1/2 size larger than the left...the right one keeps slipping off.? !

I have worn Encores in various styles for 10+ years indoors and out because, using my own insoles, my fussy feet like them. This is my first pair of Q2's. As other reviewers have noted, they are different and less stellar than previous renditions of the Encore, visually most noticeably as follows: 1) the toe box is round rather than slightly squared, 2) the part around the heel is slightly taller and the heel box is wider, and 3) the leather (faux leather?) trim all around the top edge where you put your foot in now is only on the underside and the shoe fabric extends through the top stitching to the edge. The result is a puffy roll instead of a smooth flat surface. The overall effect is a much cloggier looking clog. I probably will try a heel strip to hold my feet in the shoes and still very much appreciate the Encore for its removable insoles, the raised heel to hold my orthotics in, and the easy-on easy-off.

EncoreQ2Breeze felt very comfortable. Nice round toes so none of my toes are squeezing into a pointed style. Only problem was the size ran big. I normally take an 8 but had to send them back because they were too big. Got a 7 1/2 & they were perfect. Haven’t worn a 7 1/2 in decades! Got a wide width for extra comfort for my toes. Love them. Got aluminum, soon I’ll get the black.

I love these Merrill shoes, very comfortable! I have the 7 1/2 & it's too short, so I ordered the 8 (which is my size ) & its too big (probably because I have more narrow feet ! Very versatile shoe, hated to return !

The size is off by half a size. Wide and stretchy. Good for wide problem feet with bunions. Will reorder half a size smaller.

In April of 2018 I bought these and returned them because one shoe was stretched out. Zappos replacedthem andthe replacements now have a worn spot on the interior lining causing friction on the top of my foot. I have worn Merrils for years and have never had this problem before. The shoes are not quite a year old and should not have worn out so quickly, the exteriors are still perfect.

This is my second pair of these. Great to slipon and knock around in.

The shoe JUST fits with no extra room I don't know that a half size bigger would be too big but I am able to wear them with socks. However, because of this, they can slip off fairly easy. I'm not sure how they'll be walking long distances. Right now I just use them to slip on when I go outside. I use tennis shoes if I'm walking long distances. They are incredibly light which is wonderful. And I'm into the color gray now and I love the color. They also seem to be secure on slippery surfaces which is important this time of year.

I have been buying and wearing these Merrell clogs for years. I noticed two changes this time: the heel is somewhat wider (manageable but not great) and they grey stripe along the side is not so attractive. Going back to the original version would be better, as far as I am concerned.

Great shoe! I have high arches and wide feet. First ordered in wide with but exchanged them for regular because the wide width was too big. Big surprise! Also like the feel of the shoe. Lots of bounce and support without the feel of rubber under your foot. Wear them around the house, because we have tile floors throughout but could easily wear them for shopping or work.

I have bought well over 20 pairs of Merrells in this style and others over the years. (I rarely wear another brand of shoe.) I have ALWAYS fit perfectly in a size 9. But I had to return these as they're too small. I would need the 9-1/2.

I usually take a 10 WW to accommodate my full length orthotic, but sad to say Merrell does not offer this size. I was hoping that that the 10 1/2 W would give me some extra width which it did butt my foot was swimming in this shoe. It felt more like an 11 rather than a 10 1/2. As other reviewers have noted, sizing can be puzzling. I ordered 6 and 6.5M. One was way too small, the other huge. Too bad, because this is a terrific shoe (except for the bummer colors :( )

The jury's still out! I first ordered these Mereills in a size 9 1/2, M. Too large! My heels kept coming out of the shoes. Sent them back and ordered a size 9 M. The length is fine but I'm not sure about the width. They seem quite narrow for a medium width. And I'm wearing them w/barefeet. Only wore them for a little while in the house. I have to wear them again (and maybe, again) in the house to determine if they stay or go back. I was thrilled to find this particular Merrell shoe. To date my history (and it's been a very good one!) has only been with Merrell Ice Shoes (numerous pairs in grey and brown). I love my Ice Shoes but obviously have to wait 'til the wintry weather arrives to wear them.
