If these had better arch support, they'd be perfect. I was looking for the arch support of my old Tevas, but these don't reach those heights; they offer moderate, not excellent, support. Other than that, they're terrific--light weight, comfortable, good looking. The foot bed, which has a removable insole, has decent cushioning--not as much as cushy Crocs, but enough to absorb impact. They fit more like sneakers and lace up, but they're water friendly and grip really well. They're great for all-around summer wear, in and out of the water, and for walking (and for travel). If I were to quibble, I'd like a loop on the back to help pull them on, but that's a minor point. I'm a woman with a wide foot, so I wear men's athletic shoes and sports sandals. These Merrells run more narrow than, say, Keens, and they definitely fit closer to the foot, more like sneakers. I find them comfortable, even though I prefer the width of (men's) Keens or Crocs. Men with average-width feet should be fine, but those with really wide feet may find these to be too narrow.

Decided to try these as it seems to me that Keen's have gone down the tubes with quality. They were my go to for years but their stuff is just trash now. These are comfortable and appear well made. Glad I bought them.

My husband loves these shoes, which will be used to do a river hike. He says the fit is great, and it's nice that the sides are high enough to avoid pebbles getting in, while the holes on top allow for ventilation and water flow. In other words, perfect! Kudos to Zappos for efficient and accurate shipping!

I bought these as vacation shoes for my husband, and he wears them way more frequently than just on vacation because they're so comfortable!

i ordered these for a trip to the beach. originally wanted them to wear in and out of the ocean but they were hard to get sand out but I really like the feel for casual wear. very comfortable.its hard to find shoes in my size that i like (size 14) i am going to keep these as yard/hiking/camping and order another pair to have for going out. highly recommend.

These shoes are probably one of the most comfortable I’ve worn. It has an unbelievably soft foot bed that cushions every step. Made for wearing without socks!

Great shoes offers more support than sandals, I added cooler insert.

Was a little bigger than other Merrells, but we love these! Perfect alternative to Keens for Scout Camp (and lightweight)!
