I bought these specifically for hiking the Narrows in Zion and they worked great. I used neoprene socks with them and they were comfortable. The only reason I gave 4/5 is that they took awhile to dry.

These are a great show for everything. I took a pair of these to Africa for three years and wore them all the time. They don't dry very fast but they are a water shoe so that doesn't matter so much. When I go hiking they have great grip on rocks and are fairly comfortable when I run in them on trails. They are a great show for wearing with no socks. I have never gotten a blister with them. The only issue I have had is when I get sweaty in them my foot usually gets stuck to the insole and it comes out.

The shoes are very comfortable for everyday wearing. I wear it on daily on a 2-miles walk and whenever I have to drive more than 100 miles. I'm glad I brought 2 pairs on my last order. One suggested improvement: the shoe laces can be replaced with "hand-free" type.

I have not tried these in the water yet. I'm afraid that the inside of the shoe will remain wet. There does not look like there are enough drainage holes in the sole. Other Merrell water shoes have better drainage.

MY husband had a really old pair of Merrell shoes somewhat like these, and he's very happy with these. Does wish they came a neutral shade old ones were a really light color, clay maybe with blue trim.

Pretty comfortable. I had to go down a size to get a good fit. Like that they lace up. There's a cutout on the side near the pinky toe and it feels like the toe could pop out of that opening. Haven't experienced that yet, but something to watch.

These shoes are very light and very comfortable. I like the fact they have real laces and not some new-dangled, useless elastic contraption. The only issue is that on about the third wearing, they started to squeak. Now people can hear me coming! Squeak, squeak, squeak with each step.

I really love the look and the fit of these shoes, I wanted a pair of walking shoes I could slip on without socks and wear all day in the desert, and these check all the boxes. BUT whenever I wear them for any length of time and then take them off, the liner comes out with my foot, so I have to slide it back into the shoes. I don't know if this is part of the plan (replaceable or interchangeable liners?) or just poor design (I would have preferred they be glued in so they stay put when I take the shoes off) but either way, that's something I'll check before I buy my next pair of water shoes.

I bought these sandals for hiking in the summer. Also to be closed toe & heel to contain a Dr. Scholl's active sole insert someone my age needs. These fill the bill perfectly as did my previous sandals which are now my indoor sandals.
I like having shoe strings but do not like the material you used for them.

Overall I really liked the look...but after walking my dog around the block I felt the top of my foot begin to rub raw. I didn’t want to risk keeping them and having more issues down the road so I’m returning them.

I bought these shoes to replace the sandals I used to use for kayaking. But I like these better because they feel more like athletic shoes than sandals, which seem less substantial.

Very comfortable especially on a hot day. Some other shoes of this style I have tried had areas that rubbed against my skin and were painful, not these.

This type of shoe is almost all I wear outdoors all summer long, so I was happy to find these as my new pair. They fit as expected, offer ventilation, seem well-made, and look sharp in blue. I like that the tongue is separate from the collar, just like in a pair of running shoes, as opposed to a continuous tongue-and-collar construction that's harder to slip in and out of. The removeable footbed is really smart for customizing fit, if needed. I'll use that feature to keep the shoes fresh and cushy. About two weeks on, the right heel cup is developing a little rub--not enough to feel through ankle socks but I wouldn't go for a long walk in these barefoot right now. That's the only thing wrong from my perspective and we'll see if that rub wears away.

Good very lightweight shoe for summer. A little warm on the bottom of the foot but cool on the sides and top. Comfortable and not bulky at all.

Shoes fit and walk well. Very light and airy. Really comfortable to ware. The only flaw is on the left shoe the tung tends to work itself to the left and will not stay centered even if I correct it. I've tried loosening and tightening the laces without success.

This is a great sandal/water shoe. I've used these for a few kayak trips as well as for playing around the yard with the dog. They are comfortable in both situations. Quick drying after water sports and not to warm around the yard. Fit is great. Love the grip the sole provides when wet. All around great shoe.

These are really light and comfortable, but have two limitations. They have a removable insole that would not do well in water and they have really long laces. They are more like warm weather running shoes than water sandals. For just casual wear, though they will be fine. Merrell are my favorite brands for comfort, but the laces issue meant that I returned these - sort of regretfully because they did feel good for just walking around.

They were reeal comfortable to walk in when i first put them on. But after some time in them they cut into my ankle real bad! I will now be trying them with 1/4 socks and hopefully that will solve the problem. But I prefer to not wear socks with my water shoes.

They were very comfortable right away. In cool weather they're great. But in hot weather they made my feet sweat, a lot. And I got blisters in hot weather on the soles of my feet without walking any more than on a normal day. I think they're a great 3 season shoe, fall, winter & spring. But I won't be wearing them if it's warmer than about 80 degrees.

I have warn out 2 pairs of the moab hiking shoe and am working in my 3rd pair. I thought I would get a pair of sandals for water hiking as we have a waterfall hike planed for this fall. I wore them for 1 day and knew they did not provide the comfort or support I wanted. I have mailed them back per instructions in the package. Lesson leaned. I'll be sure I know the quality before making another Internet purchase without prior experience with the shoe model.
