I own/wear many New Balance shoes strictly for their wide widths. I can confirm that 4E width in this shoe is not as accommodating as other shoe models, particularly the toe box. Ultimately very classic shoe that works in a variety of settings, wish the 4E was cut like other New Balance models.

I was surprised at how little cushioning they have. They are also very loud on hardwood floors - sounds like I am wearing heels (I think more cushioning would improve that). Something I did not notice at first, and I am keeping them in spite of it, is that unlike almost every other brand of running shoes, these have no loop or anything on the heel to help you slide them on. I sent an email to NB registering that complaint, so hopefully they will fix it in the future. All in all, I would say that in looks at least, they are a huge improvement over the bright white "old guy/tourist" typical New Balance shoes.

Everything about sneaker was great, the look, the delivery and mostly comfortable, but 1/2 size too big and width too large for my foot. Will exchange for 1/2 size smaller and NOT extra wide.

I love New Balance shoes for they are so comfortable and durable. I walk a lot and the 574 is light weight, yet provides good support for my feet. The only problem I have with the 574 is that my heel is more narrow than normal so the shoes are somewhat loose in that area. I will be back to order more.

Fits small. Buy a half size bigger.
I have a small, narrow foot, so I've never had the problem of shoes fitting small, until I bought a pair of 574. I would encourage everyone to buy a half size larger for these.
I use these shoes as one of my daily wears around the house or work. I only walk in them. Just standing them, I can feel my toes rubbing the front of the shoes.

I am having a tough time finding many of your shoes in a wider width. I ordered this shoe in medium width as it was all that was offered. I was hopeful it would stretch with wearing. So far it is too tight. Please consider offering more of your tennis shoes with wider widths. Thank you.

I decided to try these 574s as knock around lifestyle shoes, and they're fine for that purpose, but the quality and fit are not what I'm used to from New Balance, that is as opposed to my Made In USA 997s.

The 574's Are Comfortable Sneakers That Goes with anything casual.. my only gripe is that
New Balance needs to make more Wide Withs.. They Have Them, But They Always Sold out the standard ones are too tight. Other than that.. this classic line is off the hook

The NB 574 is a must have for any shoe collection or for anyone who just wants a all around comfortable and good looking set of kicks. The only complaint i have is its not made in the USA.

This is my weekend shoe. I wear them when walking the dog or running errands. There is not a lot of arch support in this shoe, but once I put some inserts in I was good to go.

I really love how these look and feel they are comfortable. I would say my only problem was they didn't have a wide option in my size, so they get a little tight around the toes after a few hours. But for ordering online I couldn't complain. They shipped to my door within a few days. Definitely made me a happy nurse!
