I have been buying size 12 NB walking shoes, 12 for many years, all of which fit perfectly. My first pair of size "12" 574's fit more like size 11; I returned them and ordered a replacement pair, again size 12. This pair was slightly better, it fit like an 11-1/2, so I returned it as well. Finally my third pair, now size 13, (12-1/2 is not available, thankfully) fit perfectly, and they are excellent shoes. NB really needs to check with their supplier of 574's to get the sizing right!

I use the shoes for everyday wear and they are just fine!

First got 247S, it looks like it has tape on it. This one is more like the regular new balance look, and feel.
