Only had it for 3 weeks, but I can feel that it keeps me warmer than another long jacket ( 2 layer) that I have. The temp has been 24 degrees and a little windy and i felt warm and great. It looks great on me, not too outdoor looking. I can wear for office work or on the weekend.

This was perfect as the normal rain jacket isn't enough for the winter. This jacket is a great rain jacket AND is insulated to keep you warm which is exactly what I needed.

I live in NYC, so our winters require tough and versatile jackets. This is exactly that. It is definitely warm, and with a hoodie underneath makes it perfect for those sub-freezing days. It is a bit heavy but I can overlook that when it protects against snow, rain and wind.

I bought this coat for my husband. He never tried this color before. However when he tried it, it looks young on him. He likes it so much.

I use it on Rainy days or light snow. If it's 35 degrees Fahrenheit or colder, you'll need to layer and wear a sweater underneath. it's ideal for spring.

Decent insulation keeps you warm. Is waterproof and windproof so can use in bad weather. Design is okay. North Face logo on hood is kind of odd. Does restrict movement a bit.

The jacket is really warm and you can feel the thickness of the coat when you first touch it. I am excited to take this out into the elements and on an upcoming ski trip. Quality NF jacket at an affordable price.

A great lightweight jacket that when combined with a light sweater keeps me really warm. I've been looking for a casual jacket that I can wear into the office and around on the weekend. I also travel frequently so want something for a range weather conditions. This jacket has met all my needs so far and I expect will do so for many years. The only drawback so far has been the lack of an inner pocket for my phone. Not an inconvenience yet though.

The all black Stetler blends in well with the casual and work look for me, I wear dress slacks and a tie at work most days. The jacket isn't bulky yet it retains and maintains body heat well, repels rain and works well while temperatures are in the mid 30s - upper 60s.

I am from New York city. It really great for all the weather we deal with here. Being water and windproof makes it perfect to wear all winter. And when we get this extremely cold day I just wear my TNF Gordon hoodie under and I am good to go.

Does great with heavy wind and rain. Drys very quickly, perfect for slightly colder days. Able to fit more layers underneath for really cold days. Hood is great also.

One thing that sucks about Michigan weather is that it's unpredictable. One day it's 65 and sunny, the next day it's sleeting, and the third day starts with two inches of snow followed by 40 degrees and rain. It really makes you question why you still live in an environment akin to an arctic tundra's moody cousin. That's why the Stetler checks off all boxes for me: it feels lighter than marked on the website, it keeps me warm and dry, and it's something I can show up to work in and feel good about. Most importantly, it's all purpose and you don't have to worry about the unpredictable weather changes between when you get to work and when you leave. I will always bring this on hikes as it's functional with multiple zipper pockets. A note about the "heavyweight" attribute: I also own the McMurdo Parka III, and this feels as light as a feather in comparison. If I could only keep one, I'd keep the Stetler and add a layer on the coldest of days.

Great winter coat! Warm enough for New England winter without feeling bulky. Wind and water resistant makes it perfect for casual wear or on the mountain. Highly recommend.
