Nice style. A bit snug but still true to size. I suppose the material will stretch over time. Love the gum rubber look. Different than all the other shoes. Not a great shoe to run I. Though but it’s not made to be a running shoe. You can’t be all things in one shoe. There is a trade off somewhere. Running is this one. Overall I love the shoe. Just recognize the limitations and get over it.

First time working out with the shoe, cause a blister on the back of my right foot.
I a bit disappointed. The should could use a bit more cushion. I would suggest trying other styles first.
Both your feet need to be very identical, and a not need a ton of support.

Beware the SQUEAK! More on that below...
Overall I like the Metcon 4.
Comfort:
For comfort, I would prefer something like the Nike Free series which is usually made from a flexible cloth. The Metcon is made from a more rigid plastic-like material. This has the upside of being ultra-durable, with a longer life and probably some amount of water-resistance. The downside is the rigidness is less comfortable if you like a lot of flexible movement in a shoe. However, I found the Metcon to be comfortable the moment I put the shoe on, similar to my experience with the Nike Free.
Style:
It looks good. The plastic material is not quite as nice a look as a cloth material, but I'm ok with the trade-off to get a more durable shoe.
The Squeak:
After wearing this shoes for a month, and sweating in them at the gym, they developed a squeak. It's caused by the sole rubbing against the inside of the shoe. It's easily fixable by removing the sole, applying a healthy amount baby powder into the shoe, shaking the shoe around to distribute the powder, and replacing the sole. It took me a month before I thought to google for a solution. I'm going to see how long the baby powder works; if I have to re-apply powder often I'll return the shoe. If the fix lasts for long periods I think I'll be happy enough to keep the shoe.

I'm a solid 9, and these fit narrow and my toes hit the end of them. I actually think the 9s were not sized correctly because the 9.5 is noticeably larger. In comparison to Metcon 3s, I'm a 9. So, let's see what happens under use.

Very sturdy shoe. It is great for weight lifting because it gives good traction. It works less well for any type of running due to its weight and rigid structure, but I have used it on the elliptical and was somewhat pleased with that. However, it's best for lifting.
Also, the design is very low so it is best to use with no-show socks.

Great all-in-one shoe for powerlifiting or olympic lifting as a beginner/intermediate. They are a narrow and do hug the feet, but that isn't a bad thing, just something to get used to.

I work out everyday and needed a shoe that was versatile enough for jumps, squats, one-legged movements, etc. These work great. My only neg is that the toe material collapses when I am doing exercises that put pressure on my toe, such as rocking planks. I had to work out the kink and be less up on the top of my toes and more on the ball of my foot.

Good style, comfortable. Not a very quality construction so don’t expect to last long in the gym.

Unfortunately I had to return them, seemed tight width wise compared to my previous Metcons. I ordered my regular size in Nikes just too narrow. Great looking though.

Nice looking shoe. It runs a full size small. I usually take a 10M. I would need an 11wide, which is not available. So, I cannot comment on how well it wears since I returned it immediately.

Squeak, squeak, squeak. After a few months of ~3x/week workouts in these shoes, they make so much noise I can't wear them anymore. Would suggest you look elsewhere if you plan to lift anything remotely heavy.

These have the WORST laces I’ve ever had in shoes. They will come untied just walking around the house. It’s infuriating to be mid work out and have to stop to tie a shoe. Hopefully they have fixed the issue by now but if not stay away, the laces will ruin a otherwise good shoe.

I didn’t know Zappos sent the sneakers already broken in. This is a first for me. I’d like a new pair or at least a descent discount. After nearly 10 years of buying all kinds of shoes from Zappos I’ve never had a pair that was so obviously used.

I wanted to like these shoes but there was no arch support, I could see my feet roll-in from the top as I put my foot down. There was also very little cushion. I understand these are shoes for crossfit/weightlifting which is what I bought them for but I was expecting to be able to run a little in them as advertised but there is zero cushion in the footbed. I wanted to be able to do running intervals in these but just trying them on it felt like walking without insoles. The toe box felt snug, very similar to Salomons I’ve had. Not too tight to be an issue but snug. My left heel was also felt like it was lifting out which is unusual for me. It felt like the shoe was too short in the back. I tried changing the lacing to keep my heel down which didn’t help much. It’s too bad, they’re cool looking shoes.

I thought this was my imagination but it’s not. These shoes cause low cut socks to simply fall down. It’s infuriating. And I’ve tried it with three different pair of socks. Every time the socks fall down. Tried the same socks with my trusted pair of new balance, and no problems! It’s so annoying and nobody seems to be talking about it but talked to someone at the gym who had the same issue. These are going back for sure.
