I ordered both a 6.5 and a 7 — I’m usually a size 6 but sized up based on other reviews. The 6.5 fit better overall, but I still didn’t feel like the fit was quite right. They’re really cute and do have good arch support, which I appreciated. However, there’s very little cushioning, so they don’t feel as comfortable for extended walking as I had hoped. The main issue for me was the heel fit. The way the shoe is cut doesn’t quite contour to the back of the foot, so my heel lifts slightly when I walk — not enough to slip out, but enough to feel insecure. Fit note: The sizing and heel fit seemed to depend a bit on the socks. Thicker socks helped slightly with the heel lift, but didn’t fully resolve it. Overall, I really wanted these to work, but between the lack of cushioning and the heel fit, they just weren’t the right fit for me.

Loved the style, the canvas and most of the fit. They were too tall in the ankle are and rubbed the bottom of my ankle .

These shoes are cute, but my toe is at the end of my right shoe so I can’t wear them…

I've ordered size 9 before with this brand, and this felt a little too large. I like the extra toe box, but it felt a little too wide.

I usually wear size 8 medium width. This pair rubs/touches on back of heal and on biggest toe-a little too short! Also seems the width is a little less than medium but could be because they are a little too short.

I think the shoes are cute but they take a lot of breaking in. I would guess 30 minutes a day for a month. They are very stiff so your feet start hurting after 30 minutes or so.

I so wanted to keep these, but they were too tight around the toes. I even tried the Wide and there was no difference.

Not sure if this shoe was a second. The shoe was way too narrow on a medium width shoe. I really wanted them to fit. Returned and got a half size larger. They worked out well.

I ordered 7W. I think the shoe is a 7 in length but was loose at the heel and slipped up and down as I walked…Narrower than expected across the front and the edge of the tongue pressed on the top of my foot. Well constructed. Substantial fabric. Good arch support. Taos should put some type of padding over the area where the tongue is attached inside or add more room so this area will not rub the foot.

I love the style of this shoe. But the fit is narrower than the Star model by Taos. They were too narrow for my wide feet, even though I ordered them in wide. The "Star" Taos shoe that I ordered at the same time fit much better; in particular, the toe box is larger and roomier.

I normally wear a size 8.5-9. This 9.5 fit correctly--my toes were at the end of the shoe and they are cute. However, I am looking for a softer, cushioned sole with more arch support. I will be returning this shoe.

A year after bunion surgery the inner sides of my toe box are still very sensitive and require really wide shoes. These were pretty good on the width. I give these shoes big points for having some cuteness and style, which is hard to find among the extra-wide, no-heel options I'm used to seeing. They would be sassy with off-white laces as an alternative to the red, too.

I love Taos Plim Souls, but my newest pair, bought to replace a well-worn pair, isn't as well made. THere's a seam where the tongue of the shoe is sewn on that hits my little toe that is rubbing it raw. Same shoe, same size as my previous ones, but I'm not sure they're wearable. I'm hoping this is just a one-time lemon and not a decline in the brand's quality, which has been awesome.

I really like this shoe but the toe box makes a gapping noise when I walk, like it is too big. Other than the noise they seem perfect. The toes box is just a bit wider than the Star Burst ones I also bought and will keep them. They are perfect in the 9. I wear a 9.5 in a running shoe and bought a 9 in these. There is plenty of room and will wear them w/o socks. I may try then with a little sock but the noise is very noticeable to keep them. I wear an 8/8.5 in a dress shoe.

This is my 4th pair of Taos and they are so comfortable. I suffer from plantar fasciitis and have no problems when I wear these.

I am an 8 (or an 8.25, if there were such a thing), and ordered these in both 8 and 8.5. Either size would have worked, but there was something odd about the heel -- it rubbed in an annoying way.

Just a little narrow for a borderline wider foot

I've been looking for a white shoe like this for a LONG time. The support is exactly what I need. I have a slight over pronation and plantar fasciitis. The only problem.. the 11's are too small. I highly recommend these, but absolutely buy a 1/2 to a full size up. I'll be trying the 12's from Taos website as Zappos dosen't carry a 12.

I love the look of these sneakers! I purchased these in my usual size and found the fit to be good. However they aren't as comfortable as I had hoped - the insoles give some arch support but not much cushioning, and at first the seams really bothered the bunion on my right foot. Like other reviewers I found them to be stiff at first, but after a day or two of wear they softened up considerably, and I like them well enough to keep them and hope that they continue to relax more around the seams. I have seen these advertised as great for travel, but I don't think I 'd want to take them on a trip without breaking them in first.

These shoes are adorable. I loved the charcoal wash color. The toe box is wide, tall, and comfortable. The padding on the inside of heel is great. However the insole is very thin and I don't think these will have enough support for a day of walking. I did put my own orthotics in them and they fit great. I feel if I am going to use my own insole/arch supports, there are other cute shoes this style that are cheaper.

Super cute, but they didn't work for me. The toe box was too small for my feet. Ordered the largest they come in, but still not comfortable. Canvas was stiff too. I guess Toas don't work for my feet.

These are cute enough and comfortable enough, but I could have used a bit more width. (My feet are in a range where I can usually wear a standard width, but wide is better.). I was able to get some wearing ease by letting out the laces in the widest part of the foot. In all - these shoes will suit my needs for an urban travel shoe, but don’t have outstanding comfort.

I was questioning sizes and reviews stated this ran small (as did Zappos chat). I am between an 8-8 1/2. I ordered the 8 1/2 and it seems slightly big. I think that I could have gone with the 8. I would not recommend sizing up. Go with you usual size.

I love this shoe and so wanted it to work. If Taos ever decides to make these in a wide width I’ll definitely buy, ended up with the Moc Star because it came in a wide width. I’ve been a long time lover of Taos sandals.

The arch seemed a tiny bit too far forward, but I think I could’ve lived with it because the shoes are really cute and it’s unexpectedly difficult to find attractive, comfortable white canvas sneakers. I returned them because the sole was really, really squeaky and loud on hard surfaces. I couldn’t believe the noise when I stepped from carpet onto tile.
