I love these shoes. This is my second pair since pure cadence, which lived even more. I can?t give more stars as the top sides break down! Both pair have broken down on me and there are many miles left in the soles. The breaks occur on the fabric and the bend of MU toes on both sides. BIG bummer. I?m in need of a new pair....Tough decision

If you have extra wide feet, these are not the shoes you're looking for. The running shoe industry as a whole seems to have a bias against those with extra wide feet. Sure, Brooks makes the Adrenaline that comes in 4E, but it is a heavier shoe with a heel-to-toe offset that is a bit too much in my opinion (12mm); however, it is one of the many pairs I rotate through for my daily runs. The PureFlow 7 is a nice shoe, with the right amount of cushioning, and a reasonable heel-to-toe drop (4mm), but it is just too narrow for those with larger feet. Luckily, they're not as pricey, so not a huge loss, just disappointment on what could have been a good addition to my collection.

Lightweight and breathable. Narrow fit. Would have ordered a wide had I known. Also seems like the heel sits a bit low. This seems to be causing some irritation with my achilles that does not occur with my other shoes; even when orthotics are in.

I've worn Pureflows for years. Pureflow 7 has two different soles- all white or mostly black. The black is a significantly harder material. The two different soles do not seem like the same shoe. The hard black is fine right now in the heat but I bought a pair a couple of years ago in January and they were to too hard. I could not wear them as they were very stiff. Also, availability of Pureflow 7 is poor. It's as if Pureflow is being phased out but no word from Brooks regarding this.

Shoe is great, but it being made in China will affect my future buying decisions.

Due to knee injuries from poorly designed rental skis I do alot of walking and working out at the gym. It is extremely difficult to find a low profile running shoe in the brick and mortar stores. I wish Brooks still made the original Launch 1 (but with more durability) which had a lower heel to ball of foot profile. Anything above 6mm puts me in the hospital for sciatica (L4-L5 herniated disk - 1992). Pros - lightweight, low profile (primary reason for buying), decent support Cons - a little clunky, heels need more cushion, tread design collects mud and debris easily, limited choices of shoe width (mine are a little too narrow, next width size offered is too wide). Unlikely to buy this shoe again if I can find a low profile shoe with good support, cushioning, traction, durability,

I bought the PureFlow 7 shoe after the great performance and comfort I experienced with my last pair of PureFlow 6 shoes. I did not find the PureFlow 7 to fit as well as the PureFlow 6 did and I do not like the apparent change made to the foot box. I really loved my PureFlow 6 shoes and they way they fit and was hoping that the PureFlow 7 would fit the same. This does not appear to to be the case.

Shoes look great and the materials are light and flexible as I expected; however, these are nothing close to the old PureConnect models they claim to have replaced. Those were much more form fitting, slipper-like feel, rounded edges, and soft landing vs. this model that was much boxier, with harder/"clickier" foot landing. Not the semi-minimalist shoe I was hoping for.

I returned these shoes. They did not have the support that I'm used to with Brooks.

They look great, but if you like a little support, these aren't the shoes for you.

Great shoe but not as good as the other styles. The outer covering ripped very easily with every other day use.

Disappointed with the sneakers for the price. I had bought a pair of the pure flow 5, and the sneakers were uncomfortable. The plastic tongue would rip into my feet when I wore ankle socks. Used them a couple times hoping for the best. But it was not worth the lack of comfort. Now they have been a decoration on my shoe rack for years. Thinking the pure flow 7 sneakers would be a better shoe, I took a chance, I was wrong, the midsole is no different from the pure flow 5. The midsole is very stiff and unforgiving. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice shame, on me. Gave two stars, because the tongue is not made from the terrible plastic on the 5s. Instead of running shoes, I will use them to workout at the gym.

I was getting back into running and needed a new shoe as my old was was the pure connect. This shoe is worse in every single way. Everything, including the logo on the shoe is cheaper from the version from 8 years ago. The whole point of these low heel to toe drops is less padding and therefore less shoe, you hold these two shoes up next to each other and the pure flow appears to be 25% larger it really makes no sense. Im not sure whats happened with Brooks itself but the decline in quality makes it seem like they were acquired by a private equity firm or something and cut costs everywhere. I'd look at a smaller more independent shoe brand for quality as Brooks is no longer this.

I have run in the PurFlow shoes since they came out and found them to be very good. They fit true to size and were confortable to run in. I would usually put 250 to 300 miles on my shoes before I had to replace them. They were good for all surfaces and weather conditions. I always felt confident that my footing was secure while running. I bought my first pair of PureFlow 7's three years ago when the 7's were released. I wore them to run a half marathon and by the time I finished the race I had large pieces of gravel up to 3/8's of an inch wide and and inch long sticking out of the bottom of both shoes. My feet hurt so bad I was not able to run for a week. I know other runners have complained the sole of the shoe picking up gravel and acorns when running, but Brooks has ignored the feed back and not tried to fix the problem. Up until this model they had a great shoe. I'm sure I would still be running in them if they had.

Brooks changed the sizing of the Pureflow 7 and now the normal width is narrower than the previous models. If the normal width fit you well before, I suggest purchasing a wide width if it is available. When I compared the width of the PF6 to the PF7, the PF7 is nearly 1/2 inch narrower!
I loved the PF5 and PF6, but the resizing of the PF7 is disappointing.

I bought these about 6 months ago and they have fallen apart incredibly fast. Holes in the fabric have formed quickly. I don't do much running just walking and they did not last usually brooks shoes last a long time but not these.

The sole of the shoe is hard on impact and the arch support is poor. The weight is terrific and the price is reasonable.

I love the Pure Flow. This was my fourth pair of them. Normally, the pure flow is a great running shoe that is comfortable and durable. This version of the pure flow was very disappointing. The overall fit was too small and the materials it was made out seemed cheaper than the previous versions. The holes for the laces have worn down to the point that I cannot run with them anymore. I purchased these shoes in September and I already had to buy a new pair of a different Brooks shoe. I would stay away from this version. I hope they improve future Pure Flows.

Ordered 1/2 size up and still did not fit. Too narrow. Nice looking but not worth $100.

Pros: The looks of these shoes are great and they are true to size.
Cons: I walked around DC for a total of only about 5 miles every day (4 days total) and my feet were killing me. Five miles should e a comfortable walk. Very disappointed that these good looking shoes were so uncomfortable.

Rubbed back of my ankle pretty bad that it's bruised! Very tight from mid foot. Brooks only focusing on people with narrow widths I guess!

Definitely get a size up! I really wanted to like this shoe. It was tight on the mid foot area and shoe rubbing badly bruised the back of my ankle after a couple brisk walks.
I wish brooks made wider sizes in all shoes. The few wide widths that are available are dull weird looking shoes!
