Nice boot - the wide was too wide - the nitro two narrow - I'm going to try the heritage again in a regular width - I think it has more give in the width then the nitro

These are the only boots I can wear after foot surgery and have the added bonus of being great to ride in. Indeed, I've been advised to wear these all the time and only to wear other footwear for short periods / special occasions. I'm currently on my 12th pair, but I'm disappointed that you no longer make the men's / wider fit boots with a lace. The zip up ones just don't work with the scar tissue I have. As others have said the fit on the toecap isn't ideally placed - while mine don't split at the seam, on my last three pairs the upper has come away from the sole on the inside edge where the seam is. Please don't stop making them though!

I've been trying to find a pair of paddock boots that will fit me and be comfortable after three surgeries to correct bunions. These came closer than anything else, and if the C fitting came in brown, I probably would have kept them. But since they weren't quite right, and it didn't, back they went.

These are great for beginners they don't scuff too much, nice shiny leather (not as nice quality), seemed easy to break in, and are well-ventilated (not waterproof). I didn't end up getting these due to the laces being very thin, not having comfortable insole (would recommend putting in a nicer one), and being too large in the ankle that when I lace up there wasn't enough room to make them any tighter. Which would suck once the leather expands and conforms to my foot. I could maybe have done the 8.5 but I have very long narrow feet. Still a great boot if you're not looking for anything fancy with still good quality.

Ariat makes quality products; they have done for a years. I have recently reached middle age and gotten back into my childhood passion of horse ownership. The trouble is my middle-aged feet are wider than my childhood feet, and Im MUCH less tolerant to pain. For the past few months, Ive been making do with an old pair of Justin paddock boots, which appear to have been discontinued. Local tack shops have failed me in terms of boot width and comfort, so I had to find something online. Based on other reviews, I got these lace-up (for increased flexibility of width) paddock boots in wide, one half size up. I am STOKED that they dont cause me pain! My only issue is Id love some more cushion in the solefor added comfort. Ariat, reach beyond it doesnt hurt and provide some actual comfort in a boot, would ya!

Looks great feels good. Excellent traction. One thing though it the stitching at toes is already coming apart. Sad to need boot glue within a few weeks of wear. But will still buy again. My favorite boot/shoe company!

New boots are not as nice as my last pair, the leather is just not as pliable or soft.

I just got this out of the box to try. I was really surpised on how well it fit. I have been wearing Ariat shoes for years now. Know I need to break them in a bit. Looking forward to wearing these.

I have had Ariats for years, and I will always buy them again! The foot bed is so comfortable and they always look terrific. They seem a little roomier than in the past, but still feel great.

I ordered a 5.5 which is the size that I normally wear. I have worn them one time and they seem to fit well. They do not slip on my feet. Overall, I am happy with my purchase

This is my 4th pair of Ariat Boots. They are my main walking boot and are comfortable for all day use. There are only two things I would like to see changed: 1) the laces are very strong but you need to tie them tight or they loosen up; 2) where the tongue meets the boot can be uncomfortable if it doesn't sit just right. Wearing heavier socks and pulling up on the tongue help this.

Love these paddock boots but the upper pulled away from the sole and the sole is so much thinner than an identical boot I bought a few years ago. The quality is not there...I asked my cobbler to repair them and they are un-repairable and he suggested I contact Ariat and request they make the boot better.

The toe cap cuts across the widest part of the foot. I have worn Ariat paddock boots for many years but have had to replace them after only a year or so because the stitching at the toe cap comes loose. The boots are otherwise in good shape but must be discarded due to the split. I guess it is good for Ariat to sell more boots but I am disappointed every time. If the toe cap was moved off the widest part of the foot by even half an inch, I believe the problem would be alleviated.

Wonderful in every way but one. Fit, color, quality, style features were just as hoped for. Sadly they squeeked loudly with every step. Returned with regret.

I have a narrow foot and ankle. These give me a decent fit with hiking/boot socks. I tried a number of other styles/brands and this is the best I've found so far, but I'm not thrilled with the boot. First, the leather does not feel like real (probably "bonded") because it's not conforming to my foot as real leather would. Second, there's a little cushion with the insole and but it's really not comfortable to walk in for long. After a couple hours in the stirrup I was wishing for extra padding. Unfortunately, the Heritage doesn't live up to its reputation, especially at this price point. These feel and look like the cheap entry level boots. Maybe past versions were better quality?

Ariat has been my go to for years as someone with long narrow feet that make most other manufacturers impossible to get tied tight enough to keep my foot in place without losing circulation when I put my heels down. Unfortunately, this most recent pair had the leather on the tongue already disintegrating within a month of purchase. The substructure of the leather is already clearly visible around the tongue and top edge of the boot and is not at all reflective of the quality I had come to expect from Ariat. I wish I'd known before I purchased.

I just bought my 3rd pair of these boots since they started the company. The first two were like putting on old broken in shoes the moment I bought them. But this pair is stiff and inclined to give me blisters if I am not careful. Have only had them a couple of weeks so I am hoping they soften up. I am glad that they come in wide sizes but wish I could get them in brown. I have a bone chip in he top of my left arch so I have to have lace up boots to keep the pressure off of that spot, but the laces that came with them are too short to lace up all; the way. I have to stop after only 2 hooks when there are 3 hooks, and this causes the boot to rub me at the top. I may have to try another brand next time I want boots. This technology has surely been copied by now.

Not wide at all. I ordered these in wide width and also the Ariat Round Toe (from Amazon in regular width) and the Ariat Round Toe had a much wider toe box than these. If you have wide feet, go with the Ariat round toe! Unfortunately, Zappos doesn't carry this model yet, and you will have to order from Amazon.

I really like the look of these boots but like a few others have said, the quality is lacking when compared toother Ariat boots I bought 9 plus years ago. These have literally started disintegrating where the toe box bends--and it really looks like very cheap pvc leather. I bought them a little over a year ago but don't wear them in the summer months or when I'm not riding, so its a surprise when they started falling apart.
