I have owned the variation of these boots for over twelve years! I absolutely love them. They were my first pair of paddock boots and have grown with me throughout the years. Perfect for just starting or practicing for advanced riding too. So comfortable I would wear them all the time if society didn't give me funny looks in them. I always order a half size down and never have a problem wearing winter socks in them. I wear them for a year or two then buy another pair when people start to complain they look too worn out.

I've been riding my entire life, and it wasn't until recently that I've been able to find wide width boots that fit my foot properly! I used to have to order a size- size and a half up, just to get my wide foot base into a boot. Now I can order my actual shoe size and have ample room for my wide foot! These boots are doing double duty for me! They will be my daily riding boots, but in addition to that, they'll be my footwear of choice for my farm wedding next month!

I was looking for a solid lace-up boot as I reenter riding (and, admittedly, to double as a fashion item), and this boot perfectly fits the bill. Be careful of fit: one of my feet is slightly larger than the other, and I developed a blister on that heel when breaking in. The other boot fit perfectly, and even with brand-new boots and walking quite far in one day, no blisters there! So if the boot fits you well, you won't have blisters even before they are broken in. The boot is a full leather upper and rubber sole, but the tongue seems to be synthetic. These aren't drawbacks, but may influence what you are looking for. All in all, another win from Ariat!

I just bought these boots for my daughter, for horse camp and riding lessons, so this review is from her: They are comfortable and fit well. They are pretty. I like the way they look and they match well with my outfits.

Recently purchased these boots. This is my second pair of Ariat boots. Although I haven't worn them yet, I know that these boots will be as wonderful as my first pair (still wearing my 1997 purchased boots)

I love my Heritage IV Paddock Ariet boots. They are perfect for riding, they give me excellent support for my feet & they look dressy enough for work.

Love these paddock boots but the upper pulled away from the sole and the sole is so much thinner than an identical boot I bought a few years ago. The quality is not there...I asked my cobbler to repair them and they are un-repairable and he suggested I contact Ariat and request they make the boot better.

I had these boots for several years. I ride with them as well as wear for daily wear. Love the boots but did have a issue with the insole top layer separated peeled back leaving a sticky blue padding exposed and sticking to my socks. Fortunately I can order insoles here, which why I was at this site.

Comfortable from the first time wearing. The laces could be a tad longer.

I really like the look of these boots but like a few others have said, the quality is lacking when compared toother Ariat boots I bought 9 plus years ago. These have literally started disintegrating where the toe box bends--and it really looks like very cheap pvc leather. I bought them a little over a year ago but don't wear them in the summer months or when I'm not riding, so its a surprise when they started falling apart.

They are very comfortable and made well. Very happy with this purchase!

Comfortable and fits true to size. Perfect ankle support not to loose or to tight . I like the elastic above the ankle area

I bought this boot because I was looking for a leather boot that can be worn on a weekend for my first ride but also to wear after the fact casually. I only had 'breaking-in pains" the first day I wore them. After that, the boots have been very comfortable and beautiful. They are sturdy and I know will last me a long time.

These boots fit well and true to size, have excellent arch support yet arent so high in the arch as to be uncomfortable if you have slightly flat feet like me, arent too narrow in the toe box, (I need a wide in some shoe styles, but these fit me right in normal width) and the leather was supple out of the box and more than flexible enough for good heel position on the first ride. I bought them to go with my Breeze chaps, since I prefer laced boots over zips and the matching boots are only available in the latter, and theyre perfect matches in color, though not in leather texture. Since you can only see the texture in the chaps up close, though, they match very well while mounted and make for a very clean, stylish, unified look in combination with the Breeze chaps. Ive worn them riding three days a week for about a month now, and the only part that shows any wear and tear at all are the soles, which is perfectly normal as far as Im concerned. Now, however, for the negatives: The right boot of the pair came with a very noticeable area of crusted up glue residue and scuffing on the inner side. Since that area of the boot appears to be stitched and not glued, Im unsure how glue even got on there in the first place, yet there it was all the same. I was able to get the glue residue off with some time, but sadly, the scuff below it was still visible. It mostly disappears with polishing, so I just shined them up and called it a day, since these are my daily drivers and not show boots, and its on the inside anyway, so frankly, it just wasnt worth the hassle and delay to send them back over it. That said, it was still very disappointing to buy a $150 pair of boots and have them show up already scuffed, and I expected better quality control than that when buying directly from Ariat. Additionally, these rub a LOT in the back, even through thick cushioned socks. The first day I wore them to the barn, I spent less than three hours in them and still had the back of both my feet rubbed completely raw. I put moleskin in them after that, and havent had the same problem since, but again, at the price point and from a brand with a reputation for quality like Ariat, I expected better. All in all, I think theyre a good, mostly very comfortable pair of boots, I like riding in them, and I would recommend them if specifically asked, but I would feel the need to mention the rubbing in the back, since it was so bad in my pair, and I am not sure at this point that I would order from Ariat again after paying for a brand new pair of boots only for them to arrive and be scuffed up before I even got them out of the box.

These boots fit like a dream from the instant I laced them up.

This is an excellent product that is well made, comfortable, and durable. While it is a paddock boot, I use them for riding because they are much more comfortable than my tall boots when the temperature is above 80 degrees.

Great pair of boots, stylish & comfortable. I have trouble finding boots to fit my wide feet (7.5 wide), but these were pretty comfortable out of the box. After a short break-in period & I was able to wear them all day without any problem. The sole seems kind of thin on rocky ground, but overall I am happy with my boots!

Ive bought 2 pairs of these in the past 4 ll3 years. I wear them to work everyday and they are great. Theyre very comfortable and a solid choice.

I absolutely love these boots! They are very comfortable and look clean after riding as the material repels dust. I have slightly wide feet but they dont pinch me. This pair is a 9.5 I may order the 9 wide next time as they are a tiny bit big. I will certainly order these again.

Comfortable from the start. Now, if only I could find a way to keep the knot in the shoelaces from loosening and coming undone. This is my second pair. Sending off first pair to be resoled since I have worn them about hundred times since purchasing 1st pair in October. In themeantime, I am able to wear this new pair in brown.

What a great shoe..so comfortable and durable. But I miss the zipper. Pleas please bring it back! The shoes were so easy to put on and take off when going from the stable into the house. Must admit; wore them whilst gardening, shopping, even at work ;-)

This is my third pair of Heritage IV paddock boots. The leather in this pair seems heavier and of a better quality. The precious pairs were comfortable because the leather was soft but they didnt hold up well or hold a shine. I think this pair will last longer and I will be able to successfully polish them. I spent a day tromping around the house in them to break them in and have been comfortably riding in them since.
