The shoes are all I expected, very comfortable.I love them.

Perfect for my wide feet, and the hook and loop closure makes visiting friends homes much easier when I need to take them off and on.

These shoes are a lifesaver for me as they support my ankles as well as my arches.

The rollbar is the best . Stability for flat feet.

This is the latest pair of these shoes that I have purchased. I like them very much. I walk a lot and these shoes hold up very well.

I've only worn them for a few days, but I like these shoes so far. The real test, of course, is what people think in 2 or 3 months.

The shoes are great - just need for New Balance to bring back the beige/tan or even grey colors. Much prefer to the black.

seems to be high quality materials. workmanship good. only problem is tongue in left shoe will not stay in proper place. fit is good.

My first Velcro closure sneakers were purchased as temporary shoes to wear to fetch the morning papers left at the top of my driveway. I found them to be comfortable and supportive, and I found myself wearing more and more. I was happy to see, this year, that there are black sneakers with Velcro closure. Velcro is easier across the top of my feet, so I ordered a pair in black. They threw me at first, because they has a long Velcro tongue. I then found the ends of the straps could be trimmed back to allow for a better fit, and not look dorky. I trimmed the black straps accordingly, and now have both a white and black pair of the same sneaker. What more do I need I am a happy New Balance sneakers wearer!

The shoes appear to be a bit larger than the size 9.5, which I've gotten from NB for years.

The velcro loops work very well. The shoes are super comfortable for walking in the city all day. My pair are a bit large. I have purchased many pairs of NB 990's for over 15 years. I ordered the exact same size, but they are about a half size too big. So, be warned that you may need a half size smaller.

I purchase from NB to get extra wide. INB should provide more length of hook-loop material on body of shoe, for greater security. (Hook-loop is not a panacea over laces, not as secure.) Beware than NB confuse people with model numbers that are not unique, for some shoes you have to understand the suffix that defines important characteristics. For example, the 1400 boot is 1400DB or such for standard model (which only comes in brown) and something else like 1400T for insulated version (which only comes in black) - except retailers may use different suffixes.

I wanted lace up but went with these. The Velcro could be longer because the end sticks up.

I have worn this show style for 10+ years. Excellent workmanship and quality, never had any issues with this model. However, recently it is getting harder to find this shoe in my size both online or in stores.

I have been wearing Brooks Addiction Walker for stability but they changed their shoe and their current V2 didn't provide enough cushion on sidewalks. So I decided to try the NB 928v3---these 9.5 mens fit well because of the roomy box toe---Brooks, I needed size 10 which made those a little too wide. The NB also allows custom orthodics, which I need because of tendon surgery, and they provide plenty of cushioning on hard surfaces. They took awhile to get used to because the front of the show is tipped up---I think for a push off---but I wonder what they would be like with normal flat toe. There is enough stability to prevent plantar fasciitus, and hip pain has gone away. I don't like the way the velcro tabs stick out after you pull them tight, which makes them look clunky. I would like them to look "smarter" with a pair of slacks.

My feet are hard to fit. I do not wear outside shoes in my house, so I take my shoes off often. This is why I like the hook & loop fastening on them I live in the desert near Reno, and the terrain is hard on shoes. I accept the rough appearance after hard use and keep them going long after other folks would throw them out. I wish that I could find a source of the hook & loop material on my shoes to replace the hook & loop on my shoes as it wears out before the shoes are otherwise used up. I would sew new hook & loop on myself to keep the shoes going until they fell apart. I am willing to use shoes with most of the finish worn off from the rocks, but I need them to stay fastened.

The shoes are well made and I am happy with them They are very comfortable.
