For a year of backpacking around the world, I was on the hunt for perfect black slip-ons. I wanted shoes I could walk in all day but didn't make me feel like I was going to the gym, and shoes I could wear with pants, dresses, skirts, shorts, etc. Of course, they also had to be super comfortable. After scouring both the Zappos reviews and a ton of travel blogs and travel footwear articles, I tried the Dr. Scholls Vienna and Scout, the Via Spiga Galea, the Ugg Sammy, and the Vince Blair 5. These ECCOs are the winners! The footbed is very comfortable, and you can remove the insole and swap out your own if you want. The shoe is stylish and easy to get on. I am a very typical size 8.5 with no arch issues, but the Dr. Scholl's shoes pinched my toes uncomfortably. I was very tempted by the Vince Blairs, but ultimately the ECCO won because it was noticeably more comfortable, particularly in the toe box. The toe area flares out just the slightest bit, which is really comfortable. The shoe also seems to breathe more than the Vince. My second runner up was the Ugg Sammy. I went with the ECCO because the style is slightly dressier, but those Ugg Sammy shoes were insanely comfortable and cute.

These shoes were pretty comfortable right out of the box, but I haven't tried walking around all day in them yet. I had to order a size smaller because they seemed to run a bit large and wide, but the new size fits well. One thing I noticed is that the pull-on tab on the heel gets snagged on pant leg bottoms, so I'll probably only wear leggings with these, but that's okay because they're really cute with leggings! Because the top comes so far up over the front of the foot, it is hard to pull them on without using the tab, but that wouldn't stop me from buying them again. The toe is VERY pointed, so unless you're okay with that look, I'd go with something more rounded. Overall, I love the shoe and the color goes with everything.

Comfortable, stylish & great for those with narrow heels & feet! I had to add an inner sole but I plan to wear these without socks so there was room. I wear an 8 N, I ordered the 38 and it fit perfectly , with enough roominess for swelling in warm weather. These are really cute & feminine with the pointed toe.

I love Ecco because they often -- though not always -- run a little narrow, which is perfect for me. My normal size in Ecco is 39, but again, they only work if they are a little narrow. These were perfect! They are true to size, and narrow enough to keep my foot in completely. My heel doesn't slip out at all when I walk. Maybe the pointed toe helps with that? They're perfectly comfortable and I don't think they'll require any settling in to feel good. (My normal size in shoes is 8.5 but sometimes 9. Ecco 39 always works for me.)

I love these shoes! I originally bought the black and came back for the cream. I wear size 8-8.5 and got these in 39. I would say I have narrow heels and slightly wide toe box and had no problems with fit. The pointed toe is cute and unique. Doesn’t squish my toes at all. Nice thick but bendable sole for shock absorption. I highly recommend!

My favorite shoes ever! I hurt my ankle hiking last fall and still have issues so I can't wear any of my old dress shoes. I can wear these with dresses, pants and I even wear them around the house. Gotten a lot of compliments too. They ran small though compared to another pair of Eccos I have.

I should not have listened to the review that says to order down! I strongly disagree! I normally wear a 7.5 narrow but I ordered a 37 (which I never would have done otherwise), and it was WAAAAYYYYYY too small. I could barely get it on! The shoe is really cute though, and I like that it seems shaped in a way that is more conducive to movement than many of the slip ons that are currently on the market. These are less boat-y, the sole is flexible, and the leather is shaped to hold your foot in when you walk. I think I'll have to order a bigger size, but now I have to figure out of I should go all the way to a 39? or stick with a 38.

Unfortunately I bought a size down based on the sole review. They were too small. However this show is gorgeous! If you are looking for a black sneaker —- this is it. Pretty shape, slightly different with the pointed toe, but not too much so it avoids the elf shoe look. Very comfortable—easily could be a $200 shoe.

I have somewhat narrow feet but kind of short toes so the point was too narrow and painful for me. They aren't that pointy so I thought from other reviews that they would work. The shoe in 41 was the same length as shoes in my usual size-10.5, so I wouldn't want to size up. They were also not really as supportive as I expected. I would have had to change out the insole, which significantly adds to the price of the shoe.

These shoes are well made & did tend to run narrower than most shoes I've tried. I have a narrow foot & I have difficulty finding shoes that fit. I did not like the pointed toe on me & my heel still slipped somewhat, so I returned them. I am grateful for Zappo's free shipping & great customer service.

Love these shoes! They are oh so soft, like butter! They look great with slim jeans and leggings. I can wear them with no show footie socks or my bare feat. I would totally recommend them. I had no problems getting my feet into them and they do not hurt me across the bridge of my foot!

Comfortable right out of the box. I wear a size 8 shoe and ordered a size 39 at first, but they were a little too big. Exchanged for a 38 and they fit perfectly. These shoes are excellent for work! The leather and pointy toe detail look professional for the office and meetings, but I can also stand and walk in these all day (I'm often walking around on the production floor of a big warehouse).

Love! I have problem feet, and these shoes are beautiful. Even with the slightly pointed toe, my bunion and hammertoes were comfy. I have a medium to narrowish heel and these did not slip. I do wear orthotics, so I cannot speak to the arch support, but my orthotics will fit in these shoes, which is unbelievable! The leather is soft and molds to the shape of your foot. Flat shoes like these often gap on my feet, but these work. Yay!

These are huge on me. I was very surprised since I have 4 other pairs of Ecco shoes. Sandals fit a 5-5.5 and closed toe shoes are a 6. These are a full size+ too large for me and too wide. I saw the other review that said they were pointed toes and thought they'd be ok. Turned out I didn't like that look. The texture is also strange for me. I barely had time to walk around in them, but they seemed fairly supportive and comfortable. Hard to say more about the fit since they went back.

Took a trip to New Orleans and I wore them while walking around the city. Very comfortable and stylish. I would definitely purchase these again.

These really are cute and comfortable right away. Great for business casual or just casual.

I love these so much that I bought them in both bronze and black. The pointed toe makes them a bit more sophisticated, and I sometimes wear these at work (art museum). I will say that the sizing has been a bit inconsistent, so consider trying two sizes. I was a 37 in the bronze and a 36 in the black. Also, heads up to petite individuals: I'm 5'1 and I find that the shoes are cut a bit high in the ankle, so they rub against my ankle bone. I added a Dr. Scholls gel insole on top of the regular insole, and that was enough to lift my foot higher in the shoe.

I love Zappos and Ecco shoes. I am a golfer and most of my golf shoes are Eccos which are consistently great quality and soft leather. I originally ordered this shoe in my usual 7 - 7.5 but it was to large. I returned it and ordered a 6 - 6.5 and the fit is perfect.

I had a little trouble getting these shoes on, but once they were on my feet they felt great. They did not pinch my toes and felt comfortable over all. I will have to get used to the pointed toes which is more of a style issue than a fit issue.

Nice looking, comfortable shoes. Good alternative to sneakers. Zappos recommend to go up a size and it did not work out. I am 7US, size 38 (recommended) was way too big.

I had to get a size down in these. I normally wear a 9 in Ecco and I had to get 8.5. They are a little tight to get into across top of foot but once your foot is in they are perfect. This is due to that nice high cut across top of foot and it looks great. I have these in 4 colors. I have black, grey, pink and brown. These are my go to shoes for comfort and style. They look amazing with shorts, leggings and pants. LOVE THEM. My favorite ECCO shoes ever.

I was looking for a pair of trainers without shoelaces and an updated look. The Ecco shoes were perfect. They can be worn with long skirts or jeans. I find them comfortable and versatile. The toes are more pointed than what is shown in the photo. I would have preferred a somewhat more rounded toe but it is not mandatory. I bought the shoes in black as I consider black a color that pairs with most of my clothing.

I normally wear a 40 but in these a 39 is perfect. Best loafers I've ever had. I'm ordering my 4th pair..gotta have all of the colors.
