I just reviewed the size 40. It was too short, and the 41 was too long. Both have heel cups that are too wide so my heels slip. I'm returning both pairs. I really like the dark gray color! Too bad.

I've never tried on any Ecco shoes before but liked the look of these slip ons. I wear a 9.5 shoe, slightly narrower than medium, usually. The size 40 was too tight on my larger foot, and the 41 was too big on my smaller foot. The heel is a bit wider than I prefer, and both feet slipped a little bit. Very minimal arch support and not very much padding -- the insole is removable but it's only about 1/8" thick. Not enough for me (I'm a Naot person) So tho they're attractive and I like the coppery color, they don't fit well enough to keep.

I read several reviews on Zappos' website, one in particular from a woman who said she'd been searching for the perfect shoes for a trip to Europe. I'm looking for the same for a trip to Australia. As much as she liked them, they didn't work for me. I didn't like the pointed toe, and the sole wasn't quite as thick as I wanted. They were sort of a mash of different styles that didn't look like me. Overall, they didn't look or feel was I'd expected.

In Keens and in Brooks running shoes, I'm a medium-width 10.5. It's unfortunate that most shoe manufacturers skip to whole sizes above size 10 for women shoes (i.e. 9, 9.5, 10, 11). At least in Euro sizes, usually a size 41 is offered (typically spot-on for 10.5), but after reading through the reviews here, and seeing that this style has a pointed toe, I ordered one size up, a 42. Perfect fit. I've worn Ecco slide sandals and have loved them, so I was happy to discover that these flats also have the same cushy footbed support (the insert is removable). The color I selected is the gorgeous Deep Taupe/Bronze Java Nubuck (a lush, shimmery burgundy), and the leather is buttery soft and supple. I wasn't sure about the bright white outsole, but that seems to be the latest fashion trend in casual footwear (see Converse or Vans, or Nike). It's not a low-cut, toe-cleavage showing flat, which means that my feet will stay warm (but not sweaty!) during our mild winter months here on the Gulf Coast (when it's too cold for sandals). Cute, comfortable kicks, which are perfect if you spend most of the day on your feet running errands. Well made. Worth the price. ;)

Love the shoe and really wanted it to work. Unfortunately the fit was off. Too bad --they have to go back

I was tired of coming home from my part time retail shift (4hrs/shift) with feet that were crying. I'd been wearing Birkenstoks in mild weather and Arcipedico in colder temps. After one night of the Eccos I was a happy camper. They are just a smidge too big, but a half size down would have been too small. The cut and shape allows for a no show liner sock to be worn invisibly. The sock doesn't impact the fit at all, but helps on comfort on rainy cooler days......otherwise, even sockless they are comfortable and have caused no blistering. It's a good thing they did fit so well since I didn't get an invoice in my order and probably would have had an odyssey to return them. Be prepared for a shock when looking down at your pointed toes! Especially in the large size (9) that I wear looking down it just seems massive. However, people compliment them and I actually feel the point vs a more rounded toe upgrades them just a wee bit. It's wonderful to come after a late shift and lay in bed without my feet throbbing. I've known Ecco to be a comfortable shoe before and this Gillian is no exception. The pewter shade is a nice change from all the black shoes I seem to have and yet is as versatile.

I liked the look of these shoes so much! Pretty classy in my opinion. They were also very comfortable except for the instep which put too much pressure on the top of my foot. It might have stretched out enough eventually, but it didn't get to that point when I wore them around the house for four days, so decided to return them. The arch support was pretty good.

I bought these in the same size that I have from another pair of Eccos that I own but these were too short. I also felt that they were narrow in the toes so I didn’t bother to order the next size up because I feel that even with the extra length I think they will still be too narrow. I got the vanilla color and it’s a nice cream color. The leather is nice and soft so overall a nice shoe but not for me.

Already bought it in black and it was all around perfect! The sizing is inconsistent, these are very tight across the top. I really like them and am so happy with the black pair that I have shoe stretchers in these hoping that will help.

This is a comfortable shoe but if you have narrow heels, go one size down. ECCO shoes vary in how they fit. I walked right out of the size 39, but the 38 works well. There's not much arch support, but a comfortable, padded sole helps. I'm not sure I would wear them if I was going to be on my feet all day, but I'd use them for moderate walking. The style is great--simple, modern, and a little unusual. I hesitated before trying to size down--and it will depend on the shape of your foot. I also think the leather is soft and will stretch slightly with use.

The size was good and it is comfortable. The problem for me was that the right shoe gapped around my foot. I thought the pointy toe was pretty fun. I may reorder to see if the looseness in the shoe was simply an aberration.

Loved the comfort of this shoe! But photos do not show the super pointy toe... it is so odd looking! That is the only reason that I am sadly returning this.

Very cute shoes but... they are cut somewhat strangely. Very hard to put on - tight across the top which is unusual. length felt different and I think its because of the pointed toe. ( which looks awesome btw) I tried to keep them but ended up sending back. Comfort is key for me and the pointed toe area ended up being an issue on one foot. ended up buying a different ECCO slip on which had the older rounded toe.

This is a really well made shoe. The leather is soft and luxurious. The slightly pointed style is feminine, compared to the chunky, round toe slip on that is popular now that I feel looks sort of masculine. I had to return as my right toes touched the end (my right foot is slightly longer than left). I know if I ordered up they would be too large, especially on my left foot. The left foot was perfect, so I was sad to send back. I considered putting up with my toes touching on the right shoe, but in the end knew it would be uncomfortable.

Nice slip on sneaker but my size 8 was way too big. Perhaps 1/2 size smaller would fit better.

I *love* the look of these shoes—like slightly dressed up Keds—but I think I’ve got to call it quits with them because of the way the backs hit my heels. The back comes up pretty high and has stayed stiff after repeated wears. Was really hoping they’d break in eventually, but it doesn’t seem like they will, which is a real bummer. But life is just too short to walk around gingerly, trying to preserve your heels.

My right foot is considerably wider than my left , making shoe shopping difficult. I have rarely found a shoe too wide in the top box, but these would have required wearing socks. I liked the style, but every shoe company is making a similar shoe--white sole, black upper. So I'll continue my search.

The shoe has a very pointed toe which was not as comfortable as some other options and the color was just to bright ( I ordered the bronze).

So sad to be returning these. Way way to tight over the instep. Could never have comfortably worn them.

Cut too high on the instep - made it too tight. I would have loved it. Very sad to return it.

This shoe was too small. It was very hard to get my foot in the shoe because of the way it’s cut. I tried the larger size and it was too big. It’s a very cute shoe and well made.

Although my foot tends to be "wide" across the top I can usually wear a medium. This shoe was so tight I could not get them on. Too bad as they will be returned.

The shoes are too large on me. I'm not thrilled with the pointed toes. I normally like Eccos but I am going to return these.
