I ordered the Newport Hydro in grape on Friday and received them today, Monday. Thank you Zappos for your efficient service. I have learned with the Newport H2 Free Asia from last year to order 1/2 size up on this shoe (I always wear a 9 but ordered the 9&1/2). The Hydro is an improvement over last year in that one can actually get it on without using boot pulls. I love my H2's from last season, but the ankle hole was too small and no neoprene for stretch at the ankle. This year's Hydro is easy to get on and very ergonomic. I love the grape color. Great shoe. I strongly recommend.

These are great. They have a very roomy toe area but they fit snug at the heel. I sometimes have trouble finding shoes that are wide enough at the toe and narrow enough at the heel. I can walk around in these for hours without any issues at either heels or toes.

I ordered one of each style because I wanted to decide which one fit my foot the best. The reviews were good but the best thing is to try them on. He Hydro is narrower than the Whisper and the H2. It is bulkier in look like the Hydro. I usually wear a 8 1/2 in dress shoes and a 9 in tennis shoes. I ordered a 9 and that was the correct length. I have a bunion on my right foot and this shoe was definitely to tight on that foot, but also fitted on my left foot. This shoe would be best for a narrow footed person. They had good arch support and were comfortable otherwise. The H2 are wider in the fit, heavier in feel and look but are very comfortable. I think they have the best arch support of the 3 styles. My problem with them is my hammer toe on the toe next to my pinky toe that causes it to ride higher. The hydro has a strap that rubbed a blister on that toe in a very short time of wearing it. Sadly I have to return them because I really liked the arch support and comfortable heel that would be good for long hikes. I also ordered the 9 in this shoe that fit in length well. I hope this helps other decide on the best shoe for them. The Whisper is the shoe I have chosen to keep but feel the 8 1/2 will be the best size. In the 9 I have a full thumbs length from the end of my big toe to the tip of the shoe. The are light weigh, comfortable but not quite as comfortable as the Hydro. There is arch support but not quite as much as the Hydro or H2. i have a old pair of Keens (at least 5 year old) and I love them. I think the Whisper is the closest to them too. I hope this review helps you decide on your best fit. I love the Zappos return policy!!

These do run 1/2 size small compared to older styles, so don't depend on past fit as your guide.

I got these to replace pair of these that I got over 10 years ago, that finally wore out. Fit my high arches perfectly, very comfortable, extremely well made and love purple & orange color combination. My go to shoe for outdoor water sport and casual wear

I usually wear an 8.5 womens in a regular street or dress shoe. I do have a slightly wider foot and not a strong arch. These are true to fit. The toe box is wide and fit like a glove. If you have an even slightly wider foot, I would order your normal size. I would NOT recommend ordering half sizes up. I've had keens before and over time they stretch. I use these shoes for motorcycle riding, riding my horse, floating in rivers, hiking, water parks; it's my all-terrain SUV summer shoe. The shoes are very comfortable right out the box, my feet don't hurt, my arch doesn't hurt, and my plantar fasciitis doesn't act up either. Even though they are comfortable from the start, for me, there has always been a very small break in period on my Right pinky toe. But I feel that is specific to me, and not these shoes. My husband has zero break in on his keens. I recommend these shoes due to comfort and versatility. Dani

I needed to go up a full size. I normally wear an 8.5 wide and ended up with a 9.5. They were a bit tricky to put on at first as there's no adjustment on the heel strap, but after a couple of wearings, I have no difficulty putting them on or taking them off. They have been very comfortable so far. I am using them right now for kayaking, but I bought them for a trip to the Galapagos next March. I want them well-broken in before I depend on them for our adventure. They provide good support and my toes are well protected.

great shoe for walking around, beach or water.

I have miserable feet and a back problem. I have a small lift in one shoe! And I added an orthotic as well. So I order a size up to fit all that in! These shoes feel great! Will definitely order more! The wide is perfect for me!

I've had the Newport H2 twice before, so I wanted to try these with about the same footbed. Other Keen sandals just don't have enough deep cushion and serious foot help. These are much like the H2, but definitely fit one half size small, like many reviewers have said. The only difference I found is that the front toe area is not as roomy vertically as the H2. My toes (not fat ones!) felt rather squished down from the top of the sandal.

I surrendered my Keens of 15 years just recently and was on the hunt for a new pair. After ordering 5 of the current styles of Keens, these were the closest I found. Great support, awesome fit (runs 1/2 size small) and as always the luxury of washing them when necessary. Kudos to Keens for maintaining your high standards over the years!

Very comfortable, practical and nice looking. There is small support bump on the top of the footbed between the ball of your foot and your toes.To that effect, I had to get one full size larger to accomodate my long second toe. The bungy chord is very effective in providing you the custom fit that you need, socks/no socks, thin/thick socks. The sole support is just right, not too bulky like hiking boots but more like a substantial minimalist to me.

I purchased three pairs of the Hydro for an indoor water class that I take 5 days a week. I have owned water shoes by Speedo and Ryka that lacked the traction that I needed to sprint the length of the pool without slipping. My Ryka shoes are only 6 months old, and needed to be replaced. These shoes have a thick rubber sole and grip well. They have toe protection, which helps when we do bear crawls and water burpees. After class, I drop them in the washing machine and let them air dry overnight. The fabric uppers dry quickly, often overnight. The laces allow you to loosen or tighten the shoes based upon the width of your foot. They fit like a glove and are the best water shoes that I have owned. The fabric uppers are thick and of a high quality, so I expect to own these for awhile. I took the advice of other reviewers and sized up by 1/2 size. I am a standard size 8, and the 8 1/2 fit perfectly. Overall great purchase and great service from Zappos.

I like the style and the support this shoe has. I needed something that I could do a lot of walking in and still be comfortable. It did not take long to these sandals. I have tried on cheaper Keen sandals and they just were not what I was looking for. So I am very satisfied with these.

Great shoe but I feel it runs a bit small.

the new keen newport hydro is even more comfortable than expected. the color choices are nice as well. the arch support is very good, similar to the older models of the teva omnium sport sandal. these sandals have a nice clean look to them, and I can walk with comfort.

I have wide feet. I ordered a 1/2 size larger and the fit was perfect. These shoes were very comfortable right out of the box!

I ordered the Newport H2 and the Newport Hydro in size 8 because I wanted a hiking sandal. The Hydro fit me a bit better so I kept it and sent back the H2. I have 4 pairs of "Whisper" plus other styles of Keen shoes but none has a stiff enough sole for a hiking shoe. The Whisper is great for travel and city walking because it is a bit soft and well cushioned, but you don't want to use it on rocky paths. So far I like the Hydro a lot. It is nice and wide but snug in length. The arch support is good.

The hydro are wider in the foot box and more comfortable that the H2.

Great shoe for the summer!

For my feet these are the most comfortable Keen sandals yet. I have one foot where the arch is falling and these Hydros are best for this issue with some arch but not too as high as the other 2 Newports. Soo comfortable and they are nicely cushioned, better than my Whisper Keens. Getting new orthotics for walking/running shoes and looks like my hydros will fill in when I want water shoe or just a comfortable and cool sandal. I tried the Newport H2 Eco but the arch is higher in that shoe and they seem to run smaller than the Hydro. In past I would've chosen the Eco (also very good cushioning) for my high arches but now things have changed. These Hydros run true to size, as far as I can see. I bought a half size too small in the Hydro, and returned for a larger one.

The perfect shoe for an upcoming canoe trip and beach walks. I have narrow feet and long toes. I normally wear an 8.5 narrow and the 9 is great.

I have been wearing Keens since the company introduced the shoes for kayaking, I rarely kayak. But, what a great outdoor shoe, even in the winter with wooly socks. The new Newport Hydro seems lighter than the H2, which I like for the comfort and the easy wearability.

Very comfortable, love the color.
