Bought these for my husband as a work boot. He has several issues with his ankles, having broken them a few times and needs a shoe that will not only support the arch but support the ankle as well. I had bought him a pair of work shoes from New Balance that he loves, but he wanted to alternated between a shoe and a boot. Now this man is very hard to fit as his feet are not quite the same size and both this pair of boots and the last shoes I bought fit him to a tee. He can work in the shop all day and his feet are still good in the evening - not bad for a 70+ year old man. What makes him so happy with these is that there is no breaking in period - they fit great from the get go

They are a comfortable shoe. The size is a little roomier than previous purchases from New Balance.

I'm a delivery driver so I'm on my feet all day... these boots are great!

Really like the look of this boot and the fit is good. Able to wear them out of the box. One tip though, if you don't have to lace them up tight, as they gave me a bit of a rub at the ankle. But I'll live!!

I have worked 14hr shifts, walked 5 miles a day and my feet feel great!

Great work boots. Probably would get a slightly bigger size next time. Ordered the same size as regular NB shoes. And are almost to tight but are breaking in good

So comfortable, easy on and off, toe is very protective. Walking motion is natural. Great boots

My new boots fit great right out of the box. I wear 12 4E with a pretty wide foot so I need to be careful when purchasing shoes/boots online. I was looking for new boots to replace my old Dunham boots that are no longer available. I use these for yard work, hiking, and leisure. While I haven't dropped anything heavy on my toes, the front protection appears to be very strong. If looking for this type of shoe, this is a very good choice.

My son works construction. He has huge feet. These fit him perfect and have been very comfortable.

This is my first pair of composite toe work boots and I am amazed at how light it is. So far the fit is ok, but I warn others if your wear extra wide shoes like I do (9.5 4EEEE) go ahead and get about a size bigger because the composite does not 'give' like a running shoe or regular boot will. I returned the other pair because I knew right away there is no 'give'. I just got my 10.5 4EEEE and the fit is snug and comfortable, but I only have worn it my first day. I hope the boot will 'break in' eventually because I want 2 pair of these guys only to wear for work. I am so use to the leather steel toes for so many years, I had forgotten how heavy they are. And heavy wears you down sooner than you know. I was wearing safety steel toed boots only when I absolutely needed to, and it was a pain maintaining 2 pairs of shoes at work and changing into the other.

I originally purchased this boot to wear in an industrial security officer setting, but I am now going to wear them in the Campus Security Officer setting. Light and comfy, warm too. I had no idea NB made boots like these. It's been my experience when I like a boot, think Hi-Tec, they do away with them. Please don't and/or give us a heads up, that is how you will keep customers buying from you over and over again. Thanks a lot.

I really like the make of this shoe. It is lightweight and comfortable plus providing a safety toe as well. It is a nice looking shoe as well in Black.

Very comfortable steel toe shoes. Size fit perfect, waiting to go on sale so I can buy another pair.

These are very comfortable and have a width available to fit my long and narrow feet which most don't offer. NB also addressed some issues I had with another brand in their design of these so hopefully they will hold up longer than the previous boots I wore. The composite toe is designed nicely and not too heavy and the anti slip has worked on coolant, oil, water, and ice. I'm very happy with them so far, will likely buy again.

Fit is true to size. Very comfortable right from the start. I am on my feet all day never an issue.

A light shoe that's very comfortable- only criticism is that they do look a bit like snow boots!

Boots run a little narrow. Returned the original order and got a wider size. Dealing with customer service was easy and flawless! Would definitely buy again!

My husband wears these as his work boots. He likes the fact that they have more of a hiker boot look than a typical work boot. I like that fact that even though he's on his feet for his entire shift, these held up well enough so that I only had to buy him a new pair after a year (prior work shoes only made it six months). I've never heard him complain about these at all. He actually didn't think he needed a new pair after a year, but my nose said otherwise.

I have been a painter for over 20 years . I work for metro on the freeways . These boots are the most comfortable boots I've ever put on my feet . I can go all day and my feet do not hurt . Chris

Based on suggestions of prior reviews I ordered a size 0.5 larger than my current NB sneakers. I normally get a 4E so luckily these also came in 4E. Shoes fit comfortably.
