I have spent years looking for a pair of jeans that weren't huge in the waist and skin tight on the hips and thighs! These are the ones!
Sizing is 100% true to size if you go by the size chart! However, you have to be honest with yourself and don't look at the sizing of your old pairs of jeans since almost everything modern has vanity sizing and is not the true size.
I was wearing a Levi's 529 size 27 and Ariat real bc size 28 both of these brands were still 2-4" larger on my waist so I always had to wear a belt that would add bulk to my midsection.
If you are not truly curvy or hourglass I feel that you would hate these jeans since they're very much designed for this type of figure.
For reference I have a 25" waist 37 1/2" hips and 22" thighs I ordered the 5/34.
Only negative they do not fit over muck boots :( Nonetheless, I still love them

I was staying away form the 14MWZ cause it said slim fit and I am curvy.. I have been on the hunt for the perfect Wrangler trying to replace my old 12MWZ's... I went completely around the horn with so many products until my friend suggested these. I was still nervous as I like jeans to stack in length for riding and there are only two models that will do that. The 18MWZ waist was huge so I tried the 14... I did have to go a size larger from the size chart, but ....drumroll... they fit and are the great denim I remember! Yeah!!! Finally found them... Wrangler... please dont discontinue these~!

I wear a size 26 in Levi's wedgie and 26 in AGs but was unsure what size to order based on the review. I ordered a 3, 5 and 7 and the 5 fit perfectly! These are honestly the best-fitting jeans I've ever worn; they're made for curves! For reference, measurements are 25" waist, 37" hips, 32" inseam and the 5, 32" inseam were perfect. I also love that they're made of 100% cotton, which is hard to find these days.

Great quality material, worn daily in active life. Sizes are somewhat small, need more shorter lengths for petite women.

I wear these for work at the vet clinic and at home, riding, working cattle, virtually every day. The style remains classic and true, functional, and comfortable for even dinner and dancing!!

These jeans are a nice heavy denim that will wear in beautifully. HOWEVER, I will echo the warning of some other reviewers, they are way smaller than expected. I usually wear a 6 (28/29) so I ordered a size 9 after reading the recommendation to size up but they were still too small. I had to send them back for an 11.

Love the fit of these jeans- small waist, room in thigh and leg for riding. Beware to order sizes up for best fit. Usually a size 4 in jeans but had to get the size 7.

I adore these jeans. They are high waisted, durable, and not crazy expensive. It took me several tries to figure out what size I am in these-- and several washes make them much comfier too. I really love the cinched in waist. I am built like a 13-year-old boy, though, so if that ever changes I'm not sure if I'd love these as much. Definitely worth a try!

I wear these to work, but I also wear them when I'm just running about town. Even though I've broken them in already, they never really have lost their slim fit ---- which I love.

Definitely buy one size up. I am 5'1" and 115 lbs and usually wear a 5/6 I ordered a 7 and they fit. Remember these are cotton and do not stretch. If you don't like snug order 2 sizes up but one worked for me. Wish they had shorter lengths. Having to get the 30" means additional cost in alteration fees before I can wear them.

Love this jean! I was a little apprehensive about sizing based on reviews, but just look at the size chart people! I'm 5'6" 130 lbs, athletic build with a small waist but athletic thighs. I have a 26" waist and the size 5 fits perfectly. The denim is quality and perfectly stiff through the straight leg. I ordered a longer inseam so i could do dramatic turn up cuff and they're so cute! Butt fits perfectly and not too tight, fitted in the thigh and then straight through the knee. Thanks wrangler for such an affordable and quality jean!

As other reviews have stated, definitely go up 1 or 2 sizes! I am 5'9" and 150 lbs and wear a size 7 with 34 inseam in the Cowboy Cut Natural Rise jeans, which fits me a bit loosely. In these jeans I bought a size 9 with 34 inseam and they do fit a bit tight, but not uncomfortably. If you have a more athletic/boxy body type without a very defined waist I would recommend going up 2 sizes as the waist of these jeans is significantly smaller than the hips. Overall, they are great quality, very sturdy, and comfortable for riding or doing barn work for 12 hour days!

I used to love these jeans, my favorites, wore these for years. Alias, past few years the"ve changed to only slim, I'm slim, but not the same slim now! Wish they would offer them in a regular fit so I could comfortable wear again!

Our 13yo ultra thin/tall daughter (34" inseam-size 00) rides in several rodeo & western events: goat tying, roping (breakaway, ranch, heeling), queening, reined cow. She only wears these jeans. Her shirts stay tucked in off and on her horse, she hates to do "wardrobe management" while competing. When she has to wear other brands (because other companies sponsor a rodeo) it is a hassle. They are 100% cotton and they shrink. They fit exactly like the ones I wore 20 years ago...EXACTLY. They are the BEST dyeable jeans on the market...in the world--because they are 100% cotton!! Great in the summer heat! LOVE THESE JEANS!!! Not stretchy at all...but then again, they don't get baggy or saggy and you're not trying to keep them on all the time. Made for really active COWGIRLS!! PLEASE WRANGLER, DON'T STOP MAKING THESE JEANS!!!!! They aren't for everybody.

I LOVE these jeans!! For a 5,9 145 lb gal it's hard finding jeans that are long enough but also stay up. The fit on these jeans is perfect! The waist is pretty tight but fits perfectly on me. I did have to re-order a size up but once I did the jeans fit amazing.

I'm a mule packer for the Bureau of Land Management during the summer and a mustang wrangler during the winter, and I wear these jeans every day. In fact, at this point these are the only type of jeans I own. These jeans are the women's version of the classic men's 13MWZGs, and I really want to say thank you to Wrangler for making women's workwear that actually fits, looks presentable, and is just as high quality as the men's stuff. Very few companies do this well. In the midst of all the trendier, bedazzled jeans that are currently on the market, the continued existence of this line demonstrates how Wrangler is staying true to its roots as a company that serves the needs of working cowboys (and cowgirls!) in the American west. Thanks Wrangler!!
As to sizing, I have 38" hips, a 24.5" waist, and a 29" inseam (crotch to ankle bone). I wear a 7x36 in these jeans. I would probably wear a 7x34 but I usually wear heeled packer or cowboy boots and don't like them riding up when I'm on a horse. The soft seam is on the inner thigh (in many jeans this is on the outside of your leg), which this makes the jeans more comfortable to ride in. The extra two belt loops ensure that the jeans do not gap out when you are on a horse, and keeps the belt and jeans arranged correctly even if you have something heavy on your belt (such as a leatherman or a sidearm). The fabric is very tough and durable. Additionally, after you wear these jeans a lot they will both fade and stretch/shrink to fit your body like a glove.
Thanks Wrangler for continuing to make such a high quality product! I'm a loyal fan.

I usually wear a Misses size 12. Ordered the size 15 and they fit great! This will be my new go-to jean (just ordered two more). Finally 100% cotton jeans in a heavy, quality denim. If you have large hips, these are not the jeans for you. Thanks, Wrangler, for these jeans!
