I have been purchasing this shoe for running for several years. I serves me well. I have been glad that they continue to carry this type.

I have multiple foot issues (history of plantar fasciitis, a hammertoe and, most recently, diagnosed with arthritis of the big toe) and these issues contribute to me have very sensitive feet. I am not opposed to spending hundreds of dollars on shoes if they're going to be comfortable and provide me with relief from my foot pain. Since I live in Florida, I wear sandals most of the year and I have managed to find many brands of sandals that agree with my feet. However, the cooler weather is upon us and I needed a closed-in sneaker that I could wear over the winter months. Up until recently, my most preferred brand of sneaker was Hoka but the changes they've made through the years don't agree with my feet anymore. After many hours pouring over reviews, I came across this particular New Balance sneaker and I am impressed! They offer all the attributes that person like me needs in a sneaker: arch support, a non-flexible sole and plenty of room for my toes to wiggle. I did swap out the included insole with my own orthotic and, while they're not 100% comfortable yet, they're about 80% there.

I’m very glad I purchased these. They have a good level of support and cushioning. I like that the upper isn’t all mesh so I can wear them in the winter. They were comfortable from the moment I put them on and wore them for about 12 hours, including walking around the city and then being on my feet for 2 plus hours. I’m embarrassed to admit that I haven’t purchased running shoes for about a decade, when I had to stop running for a medical reason. I probably won’t be able to run in these, but I will be able to enjoy them as I walk around the city. Well worth the purchase.

Ordered my usual NB size and these were just right. I prefer a large toe box and a bit of arch support, both of which this style has. I’ve been wearing NB for years and these did not disappoint. Thanks Zappo’s for great service!

Really comfortable for walking. Fits and supports well for narrow, flat feet.

Fine fit

I absolutely LOVE these shoes. They are the best running shoes I have ever had. I need the wide toe box because my toes spread out, but I have a narrow heal, so these are perfect. This is my 3rd pair of these. I preferred the dark grey with a little bit of teal on the side that I had last year and the year before, but since they don't offer those this year, the black and white are fine. I sincerely hope New Balance never stops making these shoes.

Feels durable, I like the sole and will probably buy another pair if they hold up after some wearing.

I'm a fan of New Balance (with wide feet and bunions) and needed to rotate in a new pair. I was looking for a pair that looks attractive but innocuous (a little less sneaker-y). These fit the bill. Love them. And love the elastic laces!

I need a shoe with a wide, roomy toe box and this shoe delivered. The shoe is very comfortable, and despite the wide, deep toe area, the heel does not slip and stays on my feet really nicely. I feel like I am walking on clouds. Love that!

I love these shoes!! I finally found a pair I could wear after 5 tries! It has a nice toe box and is very comfortable! I have to return them for a smaller size because I ordered a larger size based on reviews of New Balance shoes being too small. I hope the new ones fit! These appear to be very comfortable! I am a true believer in New Balance and have worn their sneakers for years... this particular sneaker 840v4 is the most comfortable one for walking ever. My go to for travel and fitness walking which on vaca is over 10 miles a day ... no blisters no aching feet. Awesome

Love this shoe. True to size and the toe box has plenty of room. Have a wide foot and they are very comfortable. I would purchase these again.

This is my favorite athletic shoe. It fits my foot and meets my needs perfectly. This is my fourth pair in this same style and size.
