Perfect fit for my short wide width feet. Very comfortable with enough arch support. Used this shoes for 12 hours shift at work and it really supported me with my plantar fasciitis. Will buy another pair. I don't usually write reviews {this is my first review} but felt compelled to share because I also rely on reviews by others. As always excellent customer service from Zappos. Received it in two days. More power to you all!

Feel like my fat knarly foot is in heaven. I wear a 9 1/2 extra wide or wide. I have several bunions and need a deep toe box. This show is perfect. I also need a shoe where an injured ankle won't roll

New Balance is known for a wider toe box but not this shoe. The depth of the toe box leaves much to be desired.

My New Go To...I have a high arch and recently developed plantar fasciitis in my right foot. I researched recommended shoes and this New Balance was on the list. I hate the look of “thick” shoes but was pleasantly surprised by these. They’ve been a lifesaver. They support my arches and helped relieve the pain. The backs are a little high on my ankle so if you wear no show socks they may rub the first few days. Between the stretches, ice and these shoes my foot is feeling WAY better. Worth the price. For reference I normally wear a 7.5 and a 7 in converse so the 8 is perfect for me in New Balance.

Nice looking shoe but found it ran narrow. Ordered Saucony instead.

I’m an ER nurse. I’m on my feet all day (12-16 hours). These are the absolute BEST shoes I have ever worn at work. They are like a dream come true. I have a pep in my step all day! I highly recommend these to anyone who is in their feet all day.

These shoes were recommended to me because of all of my problems (bunions, plantar, shin splints, and some other unexplained problems) so far they’re great but I haven’t worn them outside yet. I’m worried a little bit because I walk on the outsides of my feet (supination) and the crash pad or back outsides of this shoe is so soft and squishy that I feel it makes me walk on the outsides still... anyone else have this problem? Otherwise, I’m a 9 and I always order a 10 in tennis shoes and that’s perfect for me! Just hesitant about the outside heel cushion being too soft. Might consider NB other shoe the 880?

I have used ASICS Gel Cumulus and Nimbus for years, but the past two times I used New Balance Fresh Foam 1080v8. I have a 2A size, and this shoe is perfect - fits my narrow heal, enough room in the toe box for my bone spur, and comfortable on the first walk.

Love these shoes! I ordered 6 Wide. This model is definitely a very generous wide cut. I considered sending back and getting the standard width, but had already worn them outside. Super comfy, lightweight and look great on.

I struggle to find any shoe I can use my orthotics in and THIS IS THAT SHOE...the comfort is perfect...I keep trying other shoes but I can’t find anything close to the quality of the support of this New Balance Shoe

I went from the ASICS Nimbus which I loved bought another pair newer model sizing and comfort totally off went to the Brooks GTS lasted 6mos blew through both toes and now giving New Balance a try. So far love them we’ll see how they hold up.

I bought new balance 1080, last year. Very comfortable. I also have the new balance ultra arch supports in them. Love them. This year‘s version of the 1080v8 Does not compare in quality or comfort. They are narrow through the arch but to widen the toebox. Generally, two big overall in very stiff and quality. I will be returning these. Extremely disappointed.

I adore these shoes in black with white trim. However, though I am a very long time fan of New Balance, I have measured the width and length of some earlier shoes and they are getting smaller. I have read this complaint several times from others who only buy New Balance athletic shoes and have been for years, and like me, they just size up a half or full size larger. I have a high arch and high instep so the wider width is needed to get my otherwise average foot in and not have the laces dig into the top of my foot. Another factor in sizing, is that I always wear heavy socks when I plan to travel by foot for a long distance to avoid blisters and keep my heel in place at the back where my foot is not wide. They are wonderfully comfortable and like to have a pair in black so I may wear them with casual pants and they do not look out of place. The mesh makes the toe box super comfy and does make them feel so good that you can forget about your feet and enjoy the scenery.

For all you 1080 v 7 and 8 lovers ... get these while you can... the 1080 v 9 is completely different ...wear this shoe stramight out of the box and love them.

I did 3 separate searches: athletic shoes recommended for bad knees, recommended for bunions, and shoes with a wide toe box. This shoe came up on every list. One other brand did as well, but I just wanted a plain color.(I'm a 67 still working nurse and don't want to wear crazy colors!) These are very comfortable and supportive shoes.

I have been a runner for 30 years, which makes me old...49! ?? I have plantar fasciitis, and I almost stopped running this year because of the pain. I have always run in NB shoes, but after getting plantar fasciitis 18 months ago, I switched brands to Brooks. I’m so glad that I switched back to NB. I’m now running in the NB Fresh Foam with a Dr. Scholl’s active insert for PF. My feet do not hurt while I am running, and afterward, I can actually walk. I am also a mild supinator. These shoes are awesome. I think my feet look a bit big in them, but I don’t care. These days, I’m all about comfort! I’m glad that I found these shoes.

Wore these shoes on my morning walk and they felt really good. As someone who has suffered with plantar fasciitis in the past, arch support is really important to me. I wore my orthotics with them and walked with zero pain. I've worn Asics for the past ten or so years so was pleasantly surprised with these New Balance shoes!

I LOVE these shoes! I have the highest arches of anyone and have had plantar fasciatis in my left foot. These are the only shoes I can wear. They lasted over a year and I workout every day and walk several miles a day in these and they've held up better than any shoe I've owned. My doctor recommended a cushion shoe for my feet issues, and these are perfect.

I have two other versions of this shoe and they all solved my foot issues. I have tried to change styles but always come back to the 1080. thanks to Customer service for their help with my returns, you guys are awesome.

I have worn the 1080 for many years now. There was a style change a couple of years back, which is continued with this version. It has a wide sole that tends to make the front half of the shoe look wider than most shoes giving it a bit of a "duck" appearance. However, if stability and comfort are more important, than that can be overlooked. I am keeping this shoe for that very reason. I have found that I no longer need the wide width on the new balance 1080's, as they seem to be wider and a bit longer than they used to be, so the regular width works fine.

Love this shoe! I have them in every available color that come in a narrow! I have bad knees, one replacement and other on way and these keep me on my feet all day in a classroom! My favorite!!! LOVE that they come in narrow!!!
