I loved the ease of putting these boots on. The double sided zippers with the long tags, made it a breeze! What I didn't love, was the sole of the shoe. It's completely smooth plastic and I felt like it was a slip and fall disaster waiting to happen. Sam Edelman! Please give us tread!

Terrific boots overall. Pros: Trendy, but classic enough that I'll get several seasons of wear out of these. High quality nubuck leather. Perfect heel height, flattering on anybody. Goes with everything. True to size. Cons: This type of leather is so finicky and really difficult to take care of. I recommend wearing these only on sunny/overcast days...don't let these get the slightest bit damp. Also avoid dusty areas because the nubuck leather picks it up like crazy. Overall, I really enjoy these but keep in mind they are not practical for commuting if you walk 10 blocks to work everyday because they will be destroyed in no time.

I absolutely love these shoes, but are much too wide in the heels for me. Tried a smaller size, but that didn't work either. The toe box is nice and narrow for my feet, but not the heels.

Gorgeous! So comfortable and the nubuck is buttery soft. Functional zippers on both sides. I'm a large 10M and fit was true. The contrasting heal with the black is a nice look.

Really liked this boot but the W width was not wide enough

I ordered the putty waxy nubuck and I absolutely love the color, but that’s all I love about these booties. I have a pancake thin, flat foot and these booties left me almost crying in pain by the end of the day. The toe box is so small that it rubbed my pinky toe, my second toe, and the bunion area was almost raw. I could kick myself for not wearing them around the house longer to make sure they were going to fit right. Now I can’t send them back.

I needed a cute booty for Fall, after researching several and reading reviews, I narrowed it down to the Born Bessie in Taupe distressed and the Sam Edelman Packer in Dark Taupe Vellutto. It was a very hard decision which one to keep, they were both very nice in style, quality and fit. the Sam Edelman won out of the two because of two things. One, the price was better and Two, they were a bit more comfy, maybe due to the wide width I ordered because of several comments in the reviews. As I said, the Born was equal, a beautiful booty, but sadly I did not need two pair. I would like to address the comments about the paper thin suede on the S.E. Packer, on the part that goes up the front of the foot is a softer suede with not alot of stiffness if you will, it does not seem cheap to me at all. I feel it maybe because if it were stiff it would be uncomfortable to bend when you walk. that's my opinion. If I would have felt like they were cheaply made in any way I would not have kept them. I am pleased.

Love these boots! I have them in black and just bought saddle leather this summer and love them both. Yes, they are both very soft leather and have a more loose look than a structured bootie look. Though I generally prefer all things structured, I personally love the soft loose look of these. The black has shades of grey and the saddle leather has a touch of orange/cognac, but to me it truly a feels like really lovely deep taupe/cognac. Pleased with the purchase. I felt they were TTS. I did cut off the tassels on both pairs--personal preference.

Great! Essentially comfortable right out of the box, only a brief working in period. The putty is a great all around color. I usually wear a 7M in sandals and a 7 1/2M in closed toe shoes. I actually have kind of narrow feet, but small bunions. So I went with a 7 wide, and they are perfect! Some wides end up too wide. I also blister easily, and these are very soft.

I love this line. The Packer boots fit perfectly on me. I usually wear 8 wide however with these boots the medium is comfortable. I own 2 pair and love them. Use a thin ankle sock with no slip back and go for a walk in these gorgeous boots!

Loved the fit and comfort of the boot. The color was not like the saddle shown in the ad. It was much more beige.

Sam Edelman shoes are well made. This particular style made my foot look a bit long. Other than that, it is a great shoe.

I normally wear a 10, and they were too small on me. 11 was too big, 10.5 was just right! The shoes feel very sturdy and stiff, like a solid shoe base. I will see how they stretch or adjust to my foot. Great shoe!

The fit of this boot is perfect I ordered a 7 1/2 and I normally were an 8 but for some reason in Sam Edelman's closed shoes I wear a half size smaller. These boots are so comfortable!!! The color grey suede are perfect!! Love them!!

These booties are so cute! Great color that works with many different outfits. They ran true to size, but I did find that they were on,y moderately comfortable for all day wear.

These booties run narrow or else I would have kept them. I liked the fabric/texture and comfort of how the top of the boot hits the ankle. Too bad they don't come in a wider width.

Love this boot. Super comfortable. Sole is slippery, as others noted, but not a deal breaker.

They fit well and are really comfortable. They’re very flattering and look amazing with jeans.

These were comfortable right out of the box, however the color was more beige than what was portrayed on the website. They do not look like the saddle color.

I am between 8.5 and 9 depending on designer and need wider widths due to age and bunions. I find this brand to have nice length. I went with 8.5W and they are perfect. Love the double zip, so easy to get them on. Like the toe shape too, not too pointy or too clunky. Not too sure about the suede height, they hit below my ankle and may only work with rolled or cuffed jeans. They are really an easy and comfortable shoe boot, and suede is nice and supple. A little cheap feeling — but for price and just for hanging out use, quite a score!

I love these booties! When I first tried them on, I though perhaps I could go down a half size but since they didn't feel too big I decided to keep them. I'm glad I did! That little bit of room ended up being perfect for wearing them all day, which I pretty much did right out of the box and they felt fantastic. The little extra room also gave me the ability to wear thicker socks on colder days. These booties have quickly become my go-to shoe. They are soft, comfy and have that "I've had these shoes for years" broken-in feel. I'm thinking of getting other colors because they feel that great. The only real disappointment is the color. My computer showed the Paprika Resinato as a deep burgundy/wine color but they are more a rusty brown with an orange undertone. I'm including a picture of the bootie next to a deep burgundy/wine cardigan I bought to go with the shoes so you can see the difference. I kept them because they still coordinate very well with my closet's color palette but that also means I am still in search of the perfect burgundy/wine shoe.

Super cute style! The saddle nubuck really goes with everything. The Upper is soft and buttery. The tassels on the sides may bother some people. I usually wear a 6.5 or 7. I ordered these in a 7 and they fit well. There is enough room to wear a thin sock. The booties are comfortable but there’s not much in the way of padding so my feet do get tired of them after a couple hours on my feet.

please note these shoes run a little narrow. i bought 2 pair in size 8W and they are not as wide as i really like but they are so darned good looking i will keep them in hopes they stretch a little. i got the moss green and the saddle and both are very, very nicely done. thank you zappos for your return policy as i had to send back quite a few pair of boots/shoes to get it right. i love these little boots!

I ordered 4 different pairs of very similar boots. Same color (taupe), same style, different brands. I wanted something reasonably flat that would go with both jeans and shorts. I loved all 4 of the pairs I ordered which made choosing between them very difficult. Ultimately I'm returning these because I couldn't keep them all. Something had to go. Still great boots. Looked good with everything I paired them with. I love the double sided zippers and long pull tabs. The leather is super soft. The only negative is the lack of support in the foodbed. I really really like them and if $ wasn't an issue I'd keep them. Hope that helps...
