I have 5 or 6 pairs of Frye boots and the Melissa Button are my favorites! I am on the website to buy the slate color now and I thought I would tell everyone how awesome these are. I love boots and it's pretty much all I wear in the fall and winter. No matter how many pairs I have in my closet I find myself wearing these over and over again. They are SO comfortable and I can walk in them for a very long time without any issues. I've had mine for a year and they've held up great.

Love them! Very comfortable and will last forever! Don't forget to take care of that leather

These boots are seriously amazing. I bought the cognac year before last and loved them so much that I bought the black last year. I have small calves and they fit snugly around my legs. They are so comfortable that I can easily walk in them all day long and don't take near as much break in time as the Frye Campus boots. Do yourself a favor and by these NOW!!! :-)

I have lusted after Frye boots for years, but could never bring myself to hand over that much money for a pair of shoes, quality or not. Finally I had the excuse of my wedding that I knew I wanted to wear boots with my dress. Not only were they adorable, but incredibly comfortable for a night of dancing and fun. It was a very cold night in the mountains of VA and they kept my feet so nice and warm. They were a bit tight to get on with my thick wool socks and took some effort, but that probably could have been avoided by breaking them in a little more.

Ordered a 6.5. Wear a 7 in other Frye's, sometimes a 7.5. These are a bit narrow though in the toes and plenty room in the heel. Should have some heel slippage but not so much your sloshing around. They do loosen up after wearing for a while so your toes aren't as crammed. Takes some getting used to but I think it's worth it. I love them. I am obsessed with Frye's.

Gorgeous color on classic boots. True to size, wish more styles were available in this color.

I bought these awhile ago. They are well crafted and lovely. I did need to take them to a boot maker to stretch the instep a little to facilitate easy on, easy off. The bookmaker said they were really high quality. He doesn't see that often anymore.

I bought this after calling a store first. I love the look an feel when these boots are on, however, they are very difficult to remove.

These boots were just what I was looking for! They are great quality, the color is as pictured. The fit was a bit snug, but I know they would have stretched a bit with wear. But I had to return, I have arthritis in my hands, and it was a big struggle to get them on. Otherwise would have been a great purchase.

I love my new Melissa's but they sure do run narrow and I have a narrow foot. The leather is gorgeous and they are nice and long on the leg. But do note they will be tight in the box area.

I did like these boots except the soles looked as though they were worn. I also sent them back because I needed a 8.5 instead of a size 8.

I recently bought a second pair of Melissa button boots because I was so happy with my first pair. They go with everything! The more I wear them the more comfortable they are. Just wish they had a little traction on the bottom for wet slippery days.

Bought this boot in Smoke size 8, normally wear 8 in Frye boots. It was too big, especially in the heel. Reordered in 7.5 and the heel was much better, but too tight in the toe. Sadly will be returning the second pair.

These are great boots. And the red (burgundy) color is perfect. I'd been looking for red boots and have never been able to find the right red until now. They are very comfortable and pretty true to size. (I'm 7.5 and ordered 7.5.) There is a bit of heel slip (but not as bad as a different Frye boot I have) which is why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5.

I love Frye boots; I have three pairs! The quality is superb, and I really like buying American made. (I wish Frye had a larger variety of such products.) I purchased these boots in my regular 6.5, but they were too large and I had to return them.

I purchased these in black after exchanging two different sized Frye boots. (Top notch customer service by the way) I found the Melissa Button after searching for an alternate and was a hit immediately with me with it's simple classic design! I opted for 1/2 size larger than my norm after going back and forth with another Frye boot that I was not crazy about. These do need a breaking in period, for me anyway. I love that they are pull on - and hoping they become like an "old shoe" soon, but also love the "non-slouchy' look. Perfect with leggings, dresses etc. The length of the shaft is I believe 17 inches which was perfect for my 5' 3" is frame and it sits just below my knee. They do rub against my achilles and hope that that will settle after a few wears. This rubbing is the only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars, it could also be the 1/2 size larger than norm.

They look cool, and are comfortable enough to wear all day. I do wish they came in widths, but this will do.

I AM SO HAPPY WITH MY melissa buttons boots. They are comfortable and the color is perfect!

I would like to start by saying Iam a very frequent online shopper and I have never written a review on anything before but felt compelled to about these boots!I had been eyeing the Melissa button boot for quite a while and just didn't have the heart to pay the steep price tag for them! My husband decided to go to a boutique near our home that sells Frye and surprised me for our anniversary, needless to say I couldn't get the box open fast enough. After about 30 minutes of sweating& struggling I finally got the first boot on........which I then realized my very true 7.5 needed a 7 in these, I then attempted to put on boot #2 which never happened! I was devastated! I then went online and was baffled but after reading many reviews I realized I was not alone, I then decided to return the boots to our local store and go ahead and ordered the "wide" melissa buttons which I received yesterday and boom then slid on just like a normal pair of boots! I would also like to add that I have now measured my calf at its largest point and it is 13" and I have never needed a wide calf in any boot! I will be excitedly wearing them today......I ordered the cognac and they are beautiful! Hoping hubby surprises me with a second pair soon!

Love them totally.... color is not quite the same in each single boot, but that is fine... they are comfy, a little bit bigger.
