Very comfortable! I have fallen arches & when wearing my Wave Riders I don't even have to add my arch supports.

These are great shoes. Took them out of the box and wore them all day walking at San deigo zoo. Super comfortable. With each step they cushion your heel on impact, then roll your foot forward to the toes. (Self-walking shoes like a self-driven car) ?? highly recommend! Think I’ll buy another pair.

I started wearing Mizuno's when I was about to walk my first marathon; recommended by a runner's shoe shop. I don't think my feet will let me wear anything else now. I have a narrow foot and these aren't too wide, and the heel is great (for me). At least the color isn't too garish, although I really wish could have worn the women's size 12--it was white with purple!

I am 67, and have worn a number of running shoes since junior high. I'm a thin guy, and don't have wide feet, but over the years I've noticed that running shoes have gotten narrower. After exhaustive searching and trying on shoes, I came across Mizuno. These shoes fit me perfectly and are extremely light and comfortable, yet supportive. After a hard run, I don't feel like I've been pounded by the road. I now own four pairs of these shoes, and have a pair for walking, running indoors, and two for running outdoors. I am a loyal Mizuno customer as long as they don't make any drastic changes to this shoe.

Perfect fit with lots of toe space. Lots of padding throughout the shoe.

I've been out of running for several years and this is a terrific shoe to begin training again. It gives my feet and ankles sufficient support and doesn't make me feel like I'm pounding too hard on my heels and arches. Recommend the most highly.

While I can't comment on arch support -- I do want to say as a runner pursuing distance and trying to mid-foot strike, I've been impressed at how this shoe has helped me continue to ease into that. It is not as "noisy" as I would've expected with good form. It's more rigid construction (relative to say, Saucony...my other go-to shoe) actually helps with stability. I'm looking forward to trialing it longer distances than say 12-13 miles (since I'd read reviews expressing skepticism on marathon-length runs).

These are the best sneakers I ever bought! I'm on my fourth pair of wave riders. I started with the 18 or 19s and never looked back. Used to be an ASICS guy but they made my feet numb. Mizunos have the perfect amount of room in the toe box and the soles are squishy soft just how I like them

Love this shoe. Spoiler alert: I am a female who was tired of the stereotypical female running shoe colors -- I am so over the neon blues, grays, and pinks, seriously. On a whim, I bought the men's shoe here because, frankly, I just loved the green. Got it from Zappos I tried it on and walked around my house . . . ahhhhh, like walking on air. Flashback: I wore Mizuno years ago and I am at a loss why I stopped wearing this brand. Thereafter, I took the shoe to the gym to again, wear it inside -- felt amazing. I did my whole workout including a run/walk treadmill interval, felt great. The other part: I had three people comment on how great these shoes look and it didn't seem to make a difference when I admitted they were actually "guy's" shoes. I've now worn them outside and again, get compliments and how great they look. I was hesitate to buy a "guy's" shoe but so glad I did - best shoes I've bought in a long, long time. I am not a long distance runner, but I workout hard and these shoes exceed my expectations.

I love these shoes! They really work for my supination. I only gave the style a 3 because I have an esoteric size (10.5 EE) and there were only some silver/gray ones. I hoped for the blues. Anyway, great shoes and Zappos had them to me within a day!!

My husband loved these shoes. He said they felt incredibly light on his feet, yet hugged them like they were made for him. The only thing he did not like was the band on the sides of the shoes (near the arch) he could feel when he wore them. He wasn’t sure if this would present a problem if he kept them, so we sent them back.

If you run on Wave Riders, this model is for you. Continues a popular last that has done me well for years. I put 350-425 miles on these before retiring them. Nice shoes, good support, great for runners with out pronation needs. A good medium runner for those doing 25-35 miles per week.

This is a great shoe. Moderate support and cushion will feel well to a lot of people. The styling and construction is excellent. Great for walking, running, cross-training or just casual wear.

Man, I have been trying all sorts of shoes in recent times, some too hard, some too soft, too tight, etc. I like the fit of ASICS GT-2000 but they have been too soft feeling in v.4, 5, and the 6 now fits too loosely. I like Nike Zoom Structure 19 and 21 but the 21's have too hard of a sole. I have tried prior Mizuno shoes and felt they had too high of heel (12mm) and too hard of a sole. Now these Wave Rider 21's feel good to me, they breathe well, the size (11) is just right for me, the width of the shoe is good (I have wider normal feet, wide shoes too big but some brands 'standard' is too narrow). I feel good arch support without being too pronounced, and the shock absorption is good (I recently tried GT-1000 v.6, it is softer than these WaveRider 21's and too mushy). Overall it is a good feeling shoe for work and walking, I don't do a lot of running but do kung fu and bodyweight training, this sole has a good blend of responsive and cushion, more towards the cushion side. There also is a good fit around my foot and good securing of ankle area. I like neutral type shoes as long as the arch is supported, I liked the Brooks Ghost at first for cushion/response, but then my heels and foot ball hurts because the arch is not there. The Adrenaline GTS17 is almost right but the arch post is HARD and you really feel it walking around. If I had a gripe it is the heel/toe offset, 12 mm feels taller vs. others (I prefer ASICS and Nike's 10 mm) If Mizuno made it 10 mm then that would be just right (hint hint, they make the Wave Shadow at 8 mm already, 10 mm is a small change) So all that to say that this is a good looking, feeling, fitting shoe and has a good blend of cushion with some responsiveness. My work has cement floors in healthcare and these are helping my feet not hurt as much. I like the rubber sole treads to prolong life as well. Prior Mizunos I tried had a hard feeling sole, this is now much better. Now I need to choose another color scheme for a 2nd pair!

I have been running in Wave Riders for a few years now and they continue to be my favorite and most versatile shoe. The 21st version feels cushioned yet responsive, fits true to size and has a super comfortable upper that makes for a great all around shoe. I feel it snappy enough to rip off a quick 5K and cushioned enough to tackle a longer, slower marathon pace. For the value I don't believe there is a better running shoe on the market. Overall, I recommend it for all neutral runners who want one go to shoe for any running adventure.

Looking forward to putting in serious miles with these shoes. I find them very comfortable and soft feeling, yet firm at the same time, so I can still feel the road beneath me. Due to their light weight, it is very easy to keep up my cadence, and very responsive for when I need to kick it into high gear. The ventilation system works well with keeping my feet dry and comfortable. Disclosure, I received these shoes as part of a blog campaign.

Watching my wife get back into running after knee surgery with the help of her Mizuno shoes was motivating for me to try them and I'm sure glad that I did. The back pain that I used to experience from running no longer exists because of my new choice in footwear. Thank you Mizuno!
