I own two Daylight Plus. I took one on a six-week trip to the USA and tested it to the extreme! I was so impressed with its performance that I invested in a second one. They are durable, great as hand luggage for planes, and great for cities and hiking. They are a great companion to Fairpoint 40. If you are minimalist with your packing, as I am, then look no further.

I had been getting back pains carrying my; laptop, iPad, coffee flask, water flask, note books and more. So this has been a game changer! The bag itself is so light! I barely notice I'm carrying anything and my pains have gone!

This is excellent for carry-on luggage on budget airlines and is very comfortable to wear when walking around your destination, with enough compartments to stow kit in an organised way. The side pockets stretch to accommodate one-litre bottles.

Excellent customer service as my original Daylite Plus backpack had experienced a slight malfunction and needed some TLC. The lifetime guarantee was very much appreciated as I received a lovely new Daylite Plus and has the choice of which colour I would like. Very happy customer.

Great design, lightweight, loads of pockets. I easily carried 3 x laptops, an iPad and cables, food, water bottle and drinks flask and it felt so comfortable. Great design- definitely worth it and it matches my wheelybag which is perfect.

Just the right amount of space to carry a change of clothes and the essentials I'd want if the airline loses my luggage. Well designed features that hold everything I'd want to access in-flight: Passport, snack, water bottle, laptop, phone, etc. High quality touches and details. I'm 6'1", 190 lbs and the pack fits well. I'm impressed. I love walking onto a plane or through a city with my hands fee. Great pack!

I had used this as my day to day bag for 7 years. After much abuse it eventually split and Osprey sent me out a new one courtesy of their excellent warranty. Couldn't fault it, or Osprey!

I wanted a backpack to use on our cruise through Alaska. It is large enough, 20L, to hold my stuff that I wanted with me on embarkation day, while my suitcases were checked in and inaccessible. On shore excursions, it had nice deep side pockets to hold our tumblers without falling out when I tried to remove the backpack. It has many smaller exterior zippered compartments for storage of cell phones, passports, etc. The larger main storage area was more than enough to store our puffer jackets, gloves, etc. The size was great for our needs. It is also well constructed as one comes to expect from Osprey.

I bought this bag for an international trip. The palm foliage print is my favorite. I like the front shove it pocket for small items or snacks. The bag is well organized but unfortunately it is just a bit too small for what I need to carry with me on the plane. This is a great everyday bag and I would love to keep just for the color.

This is a great all around daypack for work, day hikes, the gym and traveling (though not as a suitcase). It's light, sturdy, very comfortable to carry, stows easily on an airplane, and has enough space to carry my laptop, books, jacket, hat and and other creature comforts. In the past I've used slightly larger packs (25 -30 liters) and though they had more room, I've found cumbersome to mange and wear. The Daylite Plus checks all the right boxes for me.

Bought it primarily for carrying my 15" laptop and lunch box to work. Perfect size and pockets for that. Feels like very good quality (as usual) from Osprey. Look forward to summer so I can test it on day hikes. Looks cool and pretty ordinary too, I don't like looking like a hiker when I arrive to work.

All the reviews on water bottles are true. You bend over, and most things in the mesh side pockets will fall out. So, don't bend over lol. This is my first Osprey brand bag and it's tough as nails. Got it for day adventures in iceland to carry waterproof pants and jacket and some odds and ends and all fit great. It's just the right size, bigger than it looks when it expands. My photo, there's a bunch of junk in it puffing it out, next to a 30 liter. Great pockets, love that the back insert comes out, every zipper works great after 4 years of regular use. No rips at all. Other than being filthy and in need of a wash, this bag is heaven. Worth every dime considering how inexpensive. Quality convinced me to buy a 30 liter Osprey today for overnights which is why this review is on my mind.

I bought this to have as a smaller, yet stuffable companion on travels. Something that took up less space on a flight, but could carry an extra layer or two, cameras, and accessories once tooling around my destination. The Daylite Plus is perfect for this. The added pocket panel has dozens of practical uses. I could mount several accessories to the straps. It's also great for carrying a motorcycle helmet. Then, then I downsized my commute, it became a daily commuter bag for both subway and Vespa commuting.

I use this for photography hikes. I just used it in Utah national parks. My input is that it is very lightweight, mostly comfortable, and has nice water bottle sleeves that fit my hydro flask and tripod and I was able to clip both on securely with the straps. In addition the exterior pouch that is part of those straps is very convenient to hold things you need fast like lenses. A plus is that the steel grey and blues color I got is very photogenic. The only negative I have found in them is pack is that it can be hard to load, because it is so light the zipper part at the top, when full will block off the larger pouch minorly. It' just made it harder to put my camera in. I understand it's not a photography bag. Nonetheless I recommend this bag as a light day pack with many capabilities. Side note I wore it in the narrows hike with my camera in Zion and it handles water well and was comfortable.

I added the 2L reservoir and the rain cover. I e taken it hiking, skiing, and biking. My little laptop fits perfectly in the pouch provided for it. It has been to many business meetings too.

This comes on all my trips with me - airplane carry on, beach, day hikes, coffee shops (fits my 15" macbook pro in the interior sleeve). Plenty of pockets for organizing. Hydrapack fits inside nicely. Has a water repelling backpack cover that fits (sold seperately) nicely and works well in light to medium downpours. I bought the bite valve cap separately, it's necessary. I'm small, 5'2' with a skinny frame and the backback doesn't overpower me and fits well. Hydrapack leaked once (replaced kindly by Osprey at no charge), now backpack smells like mildew. Researching how to clean. Has never ripped. Would buy again.

I got this pack for my birthday years ago. Since then, I have beat the living Daylight (pun intended) out of it, & it still looks & performs like it did when it was new. I operate in tough environments & weather conditions, & as such need gear that will preform. I have used this pack in rain, snow, sleet, light hail, high winds, storms, thrown it down on to rocks, sprayed it with mud and smacked it with branches mountain biking just to name some of the more common abuse I put it through. I mostly use it now for camping & travel, either using it as I go from class to class at BSA summer camp or if I go off for a short hike with fellow scouts, or with me in the cabin of a car/plane to hold what I need for the drive/flight. I used to use this pack daily for carrying my stuff to/from school, & then from class to class, as well as to go shopping. I don't use it for that anymore not because it was not good enough, it did great, but because I upgraded to panniers (although I still use it to go from class to class in school). It should be mentioned that I also used it for day hikes. I will also use it for day or multi day trips out to more touristy places on occasion. On the one negative I noted, the side mesh stretch water bottle pockets don't hold water bottles. However, you can very easily put yours in the outside shove it fabric pocket. I put the compression strap through the loop on the lid of my water bottle. However, I have used them to nest my trekking poles in, which I then anchored to the side of my pack with the compression strap.
