Fit True to size, I'm 81/2 & also have a wider toe base, these are really comfortable. Could use a bit more arch support but are fine. Great colors too!

Nice looking and sturdy shoe, felt a little bit too narrow in the toe area and a bit short. I wear this same size in every shoe I own, but never had shoes from Columbia, so maybe they all fit this way. Ordered half size larger from another company because Zappos did not have my size in the graphite/grape color.

indeed it is 0.5 size smaller. I had to order 0.5 size up, but the style that I had originally ordered is no longer available.

They seemed to be well made and overall comfortable except the left shoe seemed to be a little tighter and the arch support was off. I’m a true 9 and have never had a left shoe be a little tighter/smaller. ?????

Not as comfortable as I had hoped because it didn't have the support I needed. Overall though it was a good purchase.

These are really nicely made hiking shoes. They are holding up nicely, but they are a little narrow in the toe area. So I can't wear them on really long hikes.

These are extremely supportive and have great traction for hiking! They are actually waterproof and keep your feet very warm and dry. That being said they might make your feet a little more sweaty in hotter weather but if you plan on hiking in muddy/icy conditions these are an extremely versatile shoe for any weather. I've also noticed I sometimes have to stop and tighten the laces every once in a while, but I also have a very small foot so that be just a me issue.

Looked everywhere for replacement low waterproof hikers after LL Bean discontinued my Ascensions. Tried many pricey styles and a few low-priced. These won. They are a basic hiking/walking shoe. I use them for 30-45 minute walks on dirt/grass trails. They are basically a men's hiking shoe sized down to a woman's shoe. So don't expect a slim heel outline, etc. However, once it did get muddy and then snowy, I loved the additional traction and stability provided by the more basic-styled heel. The break in is minimal. I don't need a lot of arch support so I think the arch support is great. I have narrow feet so I wear these with a slim short sock and a pair of Wigwams, but they are for fall/winter hiking so I would anyway. They are waterproof so far. They ran very true to size for me. I have always worn a size 9.5 in sneakers and these fit just great. (A lot of sneaker and hiking boot companies now think I should be in a size 9 in their reckoning so this was a relief.) I knew the size 9 was too small by the fact that the top of the heel, which does jut inwards just a bit, was digging into the back of my heel. I plan on using these as my fall-winter "walking" shoe as long as Columbia makes them.

These lightweight hikers are very good for the money. Order a full size big.

Overall, I really like these shoes. They are a comfortable fit, good tread and broke in easy. I haven't tested them in the water yet, but they appear they'll be fine. The only reason I marked as 4 stars instead of 5 is the shoes had a VERY strong chemical smell right out of the box. I had to air them out for several weeks and the smell is just now starting to dissipate.

I love the style of the shoe. I'd Highly recommend getting the right socks to go with this shoe, since there is no ankle support. They're super comfortable.

Reading other reviews, I decided to order half a size larger. At first, I was a little disappointed because it is truly about half a size larger (maybe a quarter?), but thinking about it further and wearing them around the house, it's probably for the best that there's some room so that they don't have to be broken in and I can wear thick socks if need be (I was wearing them with thin gym socks). So, I'd say they are generally true to size but if you want to wear thick hiking socks, order half a size up.

I'm a novice hiker and bought these as starter shoes. They work well for hiking through snow patches and they have really good grip. There is a seam on the inside heel of the shoe that has given me blisters as I try to break them in, but overall they've worked well and they look great!

These are a good shoe for the price. The arch support is above average and the fit is snug enough to feel supported while hiking on uneven ground, but not too tight IF you buy half a size up from your normal size. I am usually a 7 and bought a 7.5 and they seem to be working out.

I am a size nine usually, and I ordered a size 9.5 because of other people's reviews. They are too big! I returned them because they weren't going to work. I was disappointed because they seemed like they would have been comfortable.

I listened to other recommendations and ordered a size larger. I think a half size larger would have been better. I am keeping these and will wear thicker socks for the winter. I will probably try an 8 for the spring because I really like the quality at a good price point.

Loved this shoes, but I almost returned them because they were really squeaky! I did some googling and someone recommended rubbing the bottom outer sole with coconut oil. It worked! Squeaking is gone. So if anyone runs into that issue give the oil a try. (After rubbing it in I wiped it off of course to prevent slipping.)

Just arrived, so i cannot testify for the qualities, but i can verify that this shoe runs small. I very rarely buy a shoe that is larger than size 36 (not sure if it is 5.5 or 5 here, sorry) and i ordered a size 6 shoe based on the reviews. Either US and European sized don't translate well, or this shoe is really small :) 1 size up in European scale is very rarely a good fit, but this one fits like a glove. I was concerned that it might even be too snug a fit, but reviews say they will stretch a bit, so i decided not to exchange. Loved the feel and the gray-purple combo of the color btw :)

I usually wear a TTS 8, however some reviews commented that this shoe ran small and to order a 1/2 size larger - which I did but it was too big. I would say this shoe falls in to that 1/4 size range I noticed with a few other waterproof shoes I ordered. This could be helpful if you are between sizes, but I'm not. I otherwise found it to be a comfortable and solid shoe, with a roomy toe box. I think an 8 would probably be a bit short.

This product had a good sole with great traction. I loved the waterproof material but the rubber toe tip was very uncomfortable. I found the shoe size really small. I would recommend this as a great hiking shoe but consider ordering a 1/2 size larger.

Very disappointed that I need to return this pair as the foot support and cushioning seemed exactly what I wanted. The left shoe has a smaller fit than the right. I would have tolerated wearing them for trial at least if it wasn't defective. Would have given 5 stars if they weren't needing to be reviewed.

Usually wear a 7 in boots and athletic shoes, but glad i read reviews and got 7 1/2 cause the front does run short. These gave me about a 1/2 to inch room at toe which is needed. Little slippage in heel but wore around house for 3 days and little heavier sock takes care of that mostly, no rubbing noticed, they are comfortable. Had my other Columbia's for many years, think I will keep these.

Third try was the charm!! A half size bigger is what worked for me. I've successfully worn them around the house, but am looking forward to wearing them in the nature park.
