I used these boots to hike 4 separate national parks in Utah. We spent a week and covered dozens of hard, rocky, muddy and snowy miles per day. These boots took a beating and held up just as expected. My only concern was the toe area. I normally wear a 11.5 boot, but after 2 days of hiking, my toes were so compressed that I ended up losing a nail. After I got back from the trip, I got a size 12 wide, and have put some miles on them and have to say that did the trick. My suggestion is to go up at least 1/2 size and maybe from medium width to wide width if you have a high step or wider foot.

Good support and cushioning. A bit tight across the width, but may break in. Good amount of ankle support and nice tread

I had to return these because they were way too tight for my son to wear, especially around the ankles

I insisted with these boots on some trails, but the results were always totally unsatisfying. It makes me feel unsafe and insecure during the whole trail, even on the sidewalk they are slippery. It can be even risky at some parts, so that I had to test only on easy trails. They slip on dry earth, wet earth, dry stone, wet stone... in sum, everywhere. They're definitely not boots for hiking. I feel so disappointed that would never buy from this brand ever again. I don't even know what to do now, because I spent my money in a product that is a total waste. Maybe I could use it only to go to Church on Sundays.

I don't think Columbia knows what waterproof means.

A great shoe. I am on my fourth pair. The soles wear out quite quickly. I have difficulty finding comfortable, well fitting shoes. These are a home run every time. Unfortunately the lace guide in the middle position has broken. Disappointing.

Great Hiking Boots. I bought these for my son who says they are comfortable and he enjoys hiking in them.

I bought this literally a month ago, and the shoes fit my feet perfectly well, and they look more pretty than the reference pictures. Sometimes I even prefer it over my Timbs.

Moving to the PNW, it was a must to buy outdoor hiking shoes. It's stylish, comfortable, and functional. Definitely love my pair and I know this would last me forever!

These are very light and comfortable and I would recommend and purchase these again.

I've purchased Columbia boots for the last 10 years and am never disappointed. Granted I don't hike the AT, but do stumble across plenty of roots and rocks on my daily small trail adventures. The boots keep my feet dry, provide a stable feel around my ankles, and without having to try them on before hand, can count on the fit being correct. I keep older pairs for yard work, and am always in trouble for having too many in the garage.

It looks nice. Fit good and waterproof as mentioned.

I bought these as a Christmas gift for my husband he saw the package & since he needed the boots I said ok, try them on now! Well he loved them AND I can't get them back!
