Really wanted to love these shoes. Very cute--style is great. However, has a strangely wide toe box--which would be great when the feet swell--but kind of a short strap. So, if feet were swollen I could see the strap being uncomfortably snug. Just a really strange fit because I felt like I was wearing a size too big on the front half of my foot even though I ordered a size smaller than usual. Sorry, gotta send back.

Beautiful, well made, quality shoe, but unfortunately it runs about 1/2 size too long. I ordered a 7 1/2 W, my usual size, and am returning it for a 7 W.

Seem to run long, a little wide too. Might have worked well w/ my custom orthotics but the style wasn’t as cute as in the photos, imo. Also didn’t appear to be a nice thick leather. Overall I felt not worth $125, so back they go!

The Zappo's size chart says there should be about 3/8 inch difference between a size 11 and 12. The Ta Dah's difference was more like 5/8 inch. I think they might be trying to fit as many people as possible with their upper size, but it didn't work for me. Too bad, the 12s seemed very comfortable, except for the fact that I was swimming in them. I suspect I would be very happy in an 11 1/2, if only they made them.

the shoe 'box' is approx. as described. The back = heel portion of the SOLE is much narrower than the actual heel. While that might look sleek, it means heel strike - the contact with ground - is less stable than in a shoe where the sole-heel is wider e.g. see dansko or naot mary jane styles

This shoe is reasonably cute and comfortable on my weird troll feet. Unfortunately I really don't like the velcro strap. I just see it attracting all sorts of lint and dust and consequently not holding up over time. If they had a buckle, I'd buy them all.

I have bunions on both feet and it's hard for me to find shoes (other than sneakers and hiking boats) that are comfortable for 8+ hours and can be worn with nice pants and skirts. In the past, Keen's Mary Jane shoes fit me well, but unfortunately they are discontinued. I ordered a 8M based on Zappos on-line fit guide (best fit shoe=Oboz 8.5M) and reviews of others that indicated that the M is slightly wider than most mediums and fits many women with bunions well. The left shoe fits perfectly, but the right shoe by my bunion hurts and throbs after wearing them for 2-4 hours. I tried thinner socks, but still experienced the same problem. Although I hoped to wear these for 8+ hours, I will probably wear them for sort periods of time for dinner out, concerts, etc. I'm hoping the leather will stretch the more I wear them. In the future, since I like the style of Taos shoes, I'll try them in 8W for hopefully a better fit.

The shoe length was perfect, but the toe box is way too wide. If I didn't have the strap pulled tight the shoe would fall off my foot.

These shoes did not fit well on my foot. I needed a 10 1/2 & you only had 10 or 11/

I wish I could have kept these- they are really cute and well made. They felt great on my feet, but they put my spine out of alignment.

These Taos hurt the ball of my foot, so they are going back. Will get Cobb Hill or Earth.

Unfortunately these shoes did not work for me. They were very comfortable but the leather at the toe had a nick in it and the leather was a discolored tone. several different shades of discoloration.Zappos is always good about returns.

I'm returning this shoe, although it's very cute, because similar to Skeecher's bikers, the sole directly under the arch is curved to the point of disrupting my gait. In other words, there is no arch support on that section of the shoe. I don't feel stable when I walk. I would suggest to turn the diagram to the bottom of the shoe to see what I'm referring to. Otherwise, I would have kept the shoe.

The leather over the toe box was too stiff and hard to accommodate my bunion and hammer toe. This made the shoe quite painful.

I usually really like Taos shoes but these had next to no arch support. My ankles were turning in when wearing them. The strap is also too skinny. This shoe just didn't feel solid or supportive.

Have loved Taos, loved the style, but in my standard size the shoe felt cramped.

This shoe looks cute enough for a comfort shoe and has decent arch support. I usually wear a 9, but the 9 was much too big. I exchanged it for an 8.5 which was still a bit on the wide side but okay because I could tighten the strap as much as I wanted. Unfortunately, the heel of these shoes is really, really hard. If you take out the thin insole, it seems they're made of plywood. I deal with plantar fasciitis, and I'm a teacher so I'm on my feet about 4.5 hours every work day. One day in these shoes caused a terrible flare up with my plantar fasciitis and made my feet just plain hurt from how hard the shoe is. I don't recommend these shoes if you need something to stand up in most of the day.

Run small, the wides run narrow, and the heels feel wobbly. Fairly cute, but require a pretty dainty size to fit.

These were so cute and I really wanted to like them, but the leather is SO stiff I had to return them. I kept trying to wear them and even tried a wide range of socks, but never managed to do more than walk around my house for a few minutes. The top of the shoe was rubbing my feet badly on the sides and the heel - and I have narrow feet so it's not because the shoe was tight. It's too bad because the footbed was very comfortable. Just wish the leather was softer.

This is a cute shoe that would have been perfect for pants or skirts. However, although the length was correct, the entire shoe felt like my foot was swimming in it. Back it goes.

Really weird arch support, way up toward the toe. Returned them. True to size, true to width.

These shoes are adorable. Good for casual and dressy. But...they were so wide they were sloppy even when the strap was tightened all the way. Sadly, had to return them.

I have never had a Taos shoe hurt my feet, but these do. I stand on my feet all day, and by the end of the day, it was hard to walk to the car.
