I have wide feet with a mild arch. The arch support was too much for me. I also normally wear a size 9W, I had to order an 8.5W. I'm returning them because it provided too much arch support

A bit dressier than I was expecting. Very comfortable. Not a fan of the fake buckle, its a Velcro closure, like a toddler shoe.

They are cute and comfortable. I commute to work via subway and am then on my feet all day. They pass the post-plantar fasciitis test. My feet don't hurt at the end of the day. Two little things: 1) I tried wearing them with no show socks and they made my feet slip out of the heel. Guess I won't be wearing them with tights in the fall. 2) The strap feels a little too thin. I'm always wondering if it will pop but so far it hasn't. I like them. Not raving, but like them.

Love the Taos shoes. So comfy and yet it has style. For casual and more formal settings all in one. I already own another pair of Taos (very similar Mary Jane style). The front of this pair (in silver) is slightly less stylish than the other pair, but overall it's great.

i really hate to ruin the perfect 5 star rating of anything but here I go. They are comfortable but don't have a lot of support. One problem I had was that the leather scuffs very easily, I had the whiskey color which was rich and beautiful but as I tried it on I tapped the other shoe so slightly and there was a mark instantly. That is too delicate for me. Also, the heel is curved/rounded and I found it to be awkward and unstable. I have high heels that felt more stable. I was soooo looking forward to these but so sorry--- I had to return them. Thanks Zappos for your understanding and great policies.

A very well-made shoe. Several reviewers describe this as being more ballet-like than they had anticipated but with the heel height at 1 and 1/4 inch I felt they were almost more dressy. They were also less like a maryjane which was the style I wanted--felt they would look nice with skirts but not so sure about w/jeans. I ended up with a lower heel and completely uniform sole -- in the Naot Matai In addition, I have narrow heels, although a regular width foot, and my heel slipped out of the back of these. The toe-box fit great so I couldn't go up a size. I'm not sure they run that big; it's just the fit/style, and they are worth a try.

I am a teacher with plantar fasciitis (probably from wearing shoes with no support- ahem- flip flops...). Anyway, I am constantly on the look out for a cute pair of flats that will help my feet to heal, or at least not make them worse. This shoe definitely fit the bill in terms of comfort, however, I didn't love the way it looked on me. I wanted a shoe that was a tad cuter (which seems impossible for a flat with a foot bed). If they were cheaper, I would have kept them anyway, but for $125 I really need to love them. Back they went.

Alas, the 12m was way to big, the 11m too small. How about 11.5 for those of us in-between? Also, the heal was too sloppy. But cute shoe. One can only keep hoping for more stylish shoes in proper sizes and width. We have the money but we need the right shoe to spend it on.

Very cute shoe but my right foot is slightly longer than my left. This rubbed at the toe..it almost didn't seem long enough. Maybe an 11regular would have worked but I just decided to keep dealing with the pair of shoes I was hoping to replace.

I loved the style, arch support-most everything about this shoe. But the size 11 was just too big. I've tried a 10 in a similar style and it's a little cramped. I really need a 10 and 1/2 but Taos doesn't make it. Regrettably I'll have to return these nice shoes.

Really sweet shoes, super comfortable, seems like good arch support, though I just wore around the house. Even cuter in person than in the photo. My only problem is the sizing. I am so confused. My foot has been measured recently and it measures 10 and 3/4. I have recently discovered Taos and how incredibly comfortable and supportive and good quality their shoes and boots are. I fell in love with the "Crave" boot last winter, but was baffled when size 42, which is supposed to be an 11-11.5, was too short, my toes hit the front. I discovered that they do make a few of those boots in a size 43, which I believe is at 12 or 12 1/2, and those fit me snugly. So naturally when I saw this cute shoe from Taos, I ordered a 12. Put my foot in and there was almost a 2 inch gap between my heel and the back of the shoe. So, SUPER inconsistent and confusing sizing! Boots way too small and shoes too big. But great quality!

The toebox was slightly narrow and rigid for my normal 9W. And the heel cup was not deep so my foot slid out. Even a 1/2 or 1/4 inch would have helped.

I ordered an 8.5 wide and had to send it back. It simply is not a wide shoe and I do not have extraordinarily wide feet. The foot bed has a very thick insert, when you remove it the shoe fits like a wide shoe however, you cannot wear it without for the cushion footbed insert. I reordered in a 9 wide, I hope it works. It's a cute and casual shoe.

I really liked this shoe out of the box. The quality of the shoe is very good. I thought it fit me perfectly, until I wore it all day today. Unfortunately, the left shoe rubbed my second toe and developed a blister. I'm sorry I must return the shoe.

Loved these shoes, however after wearing them for one day, I developed a nasty blister from the top of the shoe. Have to return, but hate to do it. The arch support was great.

The shoes were beautiful, but unfortunately they pinched my big toes, and the insole support didn't seem to be in the right places for my feet. I'm very sad to have to return.

I had been wanting a pair of Taos shoes forever, as I'd heard so many great things about them, so I was excited to find a pair available in the style of shoe I was looking for in the color I needed. I could tell the instant I put them on that they were not going to work. They were cute, and they were wide enough for my problem feet, but the toe box was really shallow, stiff, and unforgiving. They had the dubious honor of even hurting my feet when I wasn't standing on them. Back they go.

On another website this shoe was recommended for people with narrow heels and a wider toe box.Toe box was fine. The heel is no way narrow. Disappointed because the shoe is cute. Can't really comment on the size and support, just tried them on and knew right off the heel wouldn't work out.

I had hoped these would be more silver in color. They were too short and too narrow; I may just need a larger size.

I had to purchase and return this shoe twice for my mother. These shoes not only run short, but also narrow. Additionally, the toe box is , though looking roomy, is actually narrow. The leather is ar uite stiff, which may, over time soften. But due to the high cut of the back of the shoe, the leather rubbed my mother's ankle. It's too bad, too because they looked so good on her feet.

I have legitimately wide feet and the WW in these shoes isn't even close to wide. It's more like on the narrower side of average width. Also, the enclosure on these shoes are velcro which degrades quickly over time with Mary Janes. They seemed to be well made and could have been cute, but they just won't work.

All I want for work is a decent looking black leather mary jane. Not easy to find. These shoes are ok, but not as comfortable as my previous Ecco shoes (which I can't find anymore) or my Naot mary janes (they don't have a simple black leather version). They are narrow and have minimal padding. I put in my own inserts for arch support which helps with the padding. But I spend a lot of time on my feet as a veterinarian and I want a comfortable black mary jane shoe that looks good and is easy to clean off. These are cute, just not terribly comfy. They also have more of a heal rise than I would like. I am wearing them, but am on the lookout for something better.

The problems were (1) scratches on the outside of both pairs of the shoes and (2) I wanted to wear them with or without socks. Without socks I could stick 3 fingers in between the top of my foot and the front of the shoe. When I experienced this I remembered that I'd tried them on in a local shoe store and was disappointed about that. Why so much extra room there?? Too bad as the color is really nice and classic & it's a nice design.

These are a very nice looking pair of shoes, I just wish I could have found the perfect fit! I ordered my regular size and it was too long in the back by almost an inch. I then ordered the next size down, and it wasn't much better. The next size down was too small in length and in the toe box. Maybe for the right foot this would be a great shoe.

I had to add thicker insole to the shoe, in fact a Taos sneaker insole, because it was too big. I was expecting the same insole and was disappointed when it wasn't the same. A side benefit I guess.
