Had to send back and replace with 1/2 size larger than usual. Very comfortable. Leather is a little stiff but I think it will soften some with wear. Altogether, will recommend.

I love the look of this cute shoe and the steel color is a beautiful gray. I first ordered it in medium width and had to exchange it for the wide for more room in the toe box for my “elf toes”. (Thank you, Zappos, for your quick exchange service!) The strap is plenty long to accommodate my high arch. I did think that the shoes were not going to work for me because the arch support in the inner sole seemed to hit me in the wrong place but I replaced it with an inner sole pulled from another pair and now they feel great.

The fit is just right. I like the style and I like the whiskey color. Comfort is good for short distance walking only.

Great height for someone with foot problems. I wear a 9.5 in other Taos shoes, this shoe was too big. Be sure to order a 1/2 size down.

These were my second place shoes and I almost kept them anyway. They fit well and felt really good on. The other pair I kept (Dansko Beatrice) were just that much better. I'm keeping these on my favorite list for next time, though.

I really wanted these to work for me, but sadly they did not. The footbed was close to what I needed, but I knew it would give me some trouble, so I did return these. However, they seemed like a quality shoe and I would recommend them.

I usually wear an 8 in shoes with straps or laces. I ordered 8, much too big. Seeing how much extra room there was, my husband suggested I order a whole size down to 7 when I was inclined to order 7.5. I returned the 8, ordered 7, and they fit fine. In my experience, this shoe runs quite large. Other than that, a nice shoe, well made, sturdy. Looking forward to wearing them.

Cutest shoe but like the other reviews, it runs a tad big. For my foot, a half size smaller would have been too small so sadly, I have to return these comfy shoes.

I really like this shoe. Good for comfortable all day wear, which I need, (but unfortunately not as cute as I would like). The only reason I am returning these though, is that the shoe make a noise with every step. It occurs somewhere around where the toe box bends. Loud enough that it really bothered me.

I usually wear a 10.5/42 but could only find an 11/42 and sure enough it was too long for me. Had to return. Have never worn Taos before so am disappointed. But I also think maybe the mary jane look is too young for me at 63 so am perhaps giving up trying to find a ballet shoe that will be comfortable and stay on, as my heels are narrow and they usually slip off.

I ordered both this and the Dansko Fawna, and I'm keeping the Fawna as it was just a little more comfortable. My toes seemed to hit the front of the shoe on the Taos and it just didn't feel like it would be comfortable for a full day at work. Both shoes have a little more of a heel than I normally wear for work but for some reason on the Taos, it just felt like my foot was sliding down more to the front of the shoe. I typically wear an 11 in dress shoes and ordered the 11 in the Taos. It was probably a little cuter than the Dansko, but with my bad feet, comfort is more important.

I wanted these shoes to work. Loved the silver color, felt the styling was very good for a comfort shoe. It was even on the dressy side - and it's hard to find a supportive shoe that looks good enough for an evening out. My narrow heels stayed in the shoe and my bunion was grateful for the roomy toe box. Alas, there was a raised area on the insole, I believe for metatarsal support, that just didn't work for my feet. If that particular part of your foot is not a trouble spot (it is for me - plantar fasciitis), I'd give these shoes a try.

These were cute, but ran a little large. My heel was slipping out, even in the half size down from my usual size.

As someone trying to navigate a bunion and the two hammer toes it has created without having surgery, these Mary Janes provide a true wide width AND a very large toe box. It is a delight to put on a shoe that does not squish my feet. I normally wear orthotics but they won't fit in these, however the support is quite good. They run very large; I normally wear an 8, but decided on a 7.5. Thanks to Zappos for making it possible to try this shoe in so many sizes till I found the right fit. I know these will be my go-to shoes for the summer.

I usually border between an 8.5 and 9. I got these in an 8.5 and it was clear they were too big. Ordering a size 8.

I should have ordered a half-size smaller than usual because my foot was swimming in this shoe, especially in the area of the "notch" (that's the vamp in shoe lingo). It would take a very fluffy sock to fill the extra space! Watch the Zappos video carefully; you'll see what I mean. This is a nicely made shoe, and it would be perfect for someone with a fuller foot.

The shoes are well made and comfortable with a padded heel and rounded toe. I just wish they were available in a lighter color--like a gray or neutral/beige that is matte or smooth (not metallic like the pewter that is offered). The soles are very stable and non-slip, too. The only reason I didn't keep them is that I ordered a pair in a different brand and I preferred the lighter color.

Ordered the Taos Ta Dah in a 12 medium but the shoe is just a bit big for my foot in both length and width. Otherwise, very cute and comfortable.

These shoes were too short for my feet. Really bummed as the arch support and overall comfort were great.

I am buying these for work, and love the Mary-Jane look. I think I can even wear this pair with skirts and dresses. However, there is NO arch support! I have high arches, and my ankles roll inwards when I wear this shoe. The insole is removable, and I replaced them with a pair of Vionic inserts, which offer much better arch support. Ju hat at the price of the shoe, I should have to spend another $33 for a pair of inserts that work.

These leather shoes are beautifully made, soft yet substantial. I ordered 11 wide, and the width worked well. Plenty of room for my wide forefoot, and the strap kept my narrow heel in place. The removable insole accommodated my orthotics. If you need arch support, plan to add your own. The only problem was the depth of the toebox. For me, the box is much too deep. Adding a layer of insole to take up some of the depth unfortunately also reduced the width, so that did not solve the problem well. If you need a deep toe box, I highly recommend these shoes. Reluctantly returning them. So impressed with Taos quality that I will look for another style in this brand.

These seem to run large, width probably appropriate for the larger size. A bit stiff feeling.
