The steel toe and the boot itself fit great for my husband; the toe has held up great. The downside is the is the sole of the boot is already falling apart and the boots are only 3 months old. He works as a tow truck operator and usually tears up the toe but these have been the best at resisting wearing where others fell short. However hard to spend the money and barely get 3 month out of them.

My husband has been wearing these boots for work for a year now, I would have given them a five star rating, but the middle velcro needs to be stronger. It is not staying attached as it should. Other than that, the boot is still in good condition and very comfortable even after wearing daily to work for a year.

I loved the look and feel and security they provided. I wish the quality was better. I only has the boots a month and the zipper lock came off after a days work.

Great boot fits amazing can wear ten plus hours no problem...only issue i have had after about 2 months of on and off on and off the back where the heal touches the back because loose and the prevents you from getting boot off without a shoe horn

The boots look great they got a strong appeal to them but they are very heavy Evie and they don't send you the correct size when you order them I ordered a double E-9 and I got a 9 Other than that I really have no problems. Too expensive for the style of boop.

I assumed there would be laces under the met cover and there is not. Only the Velcro straps. I happen to have big feet but skinny legs and they do not tighten enough to close around my leg. This makes the boot clunk back and fourth as I walk on the upper. Like a cowboy boot which isn't what I had in mind. I've had them about two weeks and will deal with it but once these wear out I'll be looking for an option with laces for my next pair of boots.

I bought these spring 2020. The soles are awesome. I am a welder in a shipyard so I have put these things to the test. I am disappointed in the stitching on top of the met guards. For the money I spent I expected these to hold up to the abuse I need them to take. I rely heavily on my boots. I'm on my feet all day long in harsh conditions.

Bought these in the spring to replace another pair of Ariat lace ups. Disappointed that they do not fit as tight as a lace up, but made do for the money I paid. The leather has stayed waterproof, however they have developed pinholes in the heel that will let water in. After 6 months, the Velcro is starting to get weak, but the zippers have been the main disappointment. They have gotten stiff with use and now one has snapped and will no longer zip. The are nice boots but just not worth the money.

I work for a city water and sewer department. I have had these boots since early September and they haven't been waterproof for a couple months. The bottom velcro straps won't stay secure and the liner in the right boot has been pulling out with my foot. If you like to replace boots every 4-6 months then these are great but if you want them to last a year then dont buy these.

Heel broke apart in less than 8 months. They are not worth the money. They are also extremely hot and heavy.

I love Ariat products but I HATE these boots, wore them for months, 12 hours a day and could never break them in, they hurt my feet so bad

I purchased these boots about 5 months ago and from week one my feet hurt terribly. I figured that they just needed to be broken in so I have continued to wear them. I should have returned them. My toes have now developed Calluses. The bottoms of my feet now hurt daily and it's the worst when I wake up in the morning. I have developed a pretty painful case of plantar fasciitis. I've tried thick wool socks but that only helps a little bit. Maybe I need to get insoles? My job consists of walking on cement most of the day in a steel warehouse. It's not strenuous at all. The toes are falling apart and the metguard is becoming exposed. I've always been a big fan of Ariat but these boots will be a pass next time around. Sorry

I've had this boot for 4 months now. I waited to see if they would break in. They have not. I bought my size in wide and my foot feels squeezed. The sole is tough. And to top it off I dropped something and the edge caught my pinky toe. Had a nice little bruise from that. These are supposed to be meta boots. So overall this is the worst boot I've ever purchased. This was my first Ariat and my last.

Boots are way to small for a size 12. The top is way to small for my calf muscles

I was so excited when I got this boots . They were great for about 1 month and then the composite toe part of the boot started coming apart. And that was a big disappointment, specially for the amount of money I paid for them

This boot was my first purchase of Ariat boots and will be my last. The boot I previously have worn for the last 8 years has been discontinued so I was in need of a good waterproof metgaurd boot. I have purchased Ariat FR jeans for the last 5 years and love them so decided to try the boots, what a disappointment. Purchased first week of May and by the second week of June, my toes are getting wet and have only seen water twice. I drive truck hauling water for the gas wells and need a good waterproof boot that's comfortable and won't leak. They are comfortable boots and look really good but if the waterproofing fails after being in water twice they are definitely not worth the price. Will be getting a refund and buying a different brand.

I assumed that the metguard boot would have MORE PROTECTION in the metatarsal area, IT DOES NOT, just another piece of leather and an unnecessary zipper down the side that makes me think they are less Waterproof than expected. Over all not recommended as a work boot

The sole of the boot separated at the heel and fell off in less than a month. The conditions they were worn in are inside an indoor shop. I have requested them to be replaced with pictures of the faulty sole and still have not received a resolution.
