The size was great. Held my wallet, phone, eye glass case, and a few other essential items. The leather is incredibly soft and smells so good. I used the bag both as a nice day bag and for nights when I dressed up. My only complaint was the thin strap. I would prefer to have a bit wider one to help disperse weight.

The leather is buttery soft. It looks beautiful and the woven pattern really stands out against the soft leather. The inside is wonderful. I highly recommend this!

The raffia is beautiful and unique. The tan, black and white combo is just a perfect neutral blend for spring and summer. Perfect size too.

I purchased this beautiful purse for my daughter for her Birthday. I was thrilled to have found the perfect gift for her and she is truly delighted with this classy purse.

When you can look at this bag online and think that it is beautiful and then get it and actually feel itno comparison! The leather is as soft as butter! The bag is so well put together!

This was my first Hammitt purchase. My eye doctor showed me her Hammitt backpack and I looked up the brand. I was looking for a lightweight crossbody. My favorite bag from a different brand is a crossbody organizer. I'm quite happy doing away with a wallet if I can do it. My VIP bag came in a nice box, so unpacking was fun. I chose this particular bag because it's not all leather. It weighs a bit less this way. I also went with the large size. At first glance I thought it was too small. After switching from my favorite bag to the VIP bag, I still needed needed a credit card wallet due to the VIP bag only having one credit card slot. I put my three most used credit cards in the VIP credit card slot and the rest tucked away in the thin card wallet. I do like the outside slip pocket for the cell phone, but it's not secure and I usually end up putting the phone inside the main zippered compartment. The cons to this bag for me are the inside drop pockets. They are ridiculously small. I have small hands and can barely get my fingers inside. If I were to make some design changes I'd make the bag a bit bigger, offer in an XL size, swap the outside phone slip pocket over to a zippered pocket or at least have a magnetic closure and expand the inside drop pockets to make them more useful. I'd also add 2 more credit card slots. All in all the bag is a keeper. It's not going to hold everything you might want. I'm keeping a package of tissue and sunglasses in the flap pocket. I've definitely scaled down to essentials only.

Gorgeous! Love the brushed gold, the unique raffia fabric and that SUPER soft leather. The only thing I'd change is having one more built in pocket/organizer inside.

My first Hammitt bag. What a great choice! It's smaller than I usually carry but it works. The color Pew/Brushed Gold Red Zip LG is a color for every season. I carry a Nash Wristlet and a 110 North Wallet inside. Yes it's snug but the leather stretches a little for a perfect fit! A beautiful lightweight bag!

I bought this bag for a trip to NYC, and it was absolutely perfect. I have received many compliments on it. The leather is so soft and pretty, and the phone compartment is my fav!

Nice thick strap and perfect size purse for my needs. I'm 5'9" and the purse can easily be worn as a cross body.

I love my purchase and have received compliments from total strangers. The leather is so buttery and nice to the touch. My only wish is that maybe the base could be about 3" wide rather than an envelope stylestill holds a lot and I have used it everyday since I received it!! No regrets!

Super soft leather, quality hardware, amazing bag!

I LOVE my Hammitt VIP Large bag!!! It's become my everyday purse! The leather is super soft and the pocket in the back for my phone is perfect (I have an iPhone 11). Customer service is also SUPER amazing and when you receive your order, it's like opening a present!!! This one came with a 1/2" strap. I'd recommend using a 1" strap though like the other reviews. The 1/2" feels too delicate. I purchased a Small Tony which comes with a 1" strap and switched it. You can also just purchase a 1" strap instead. Check which style you are buying because some VIP limited editions come with a 1" strap instead of the 1/2". Also I purchased the Benjamin wallet and it fits perfectly in this bag! I can't wait for my next Hammitt purchase!!!!!

I wanted this purse for a long time. The leather and the hardware are beautiful. I've gotten many complements on it. This will be something I carry for years.

I have had more compliments on my bag! I now have two bags; Orange and Black as well as a wallet. The purse is soooo soft and wearable.

I have purchased three Hammitt bags in the last two months. I love the soft buttery leather and style of each of them. My only complaint is the .5 leather strap that comes on the large VIP. I had to spend another 75.00 for the one inch strap and that made it perfect.

This is such a class act bag. I got this over Christmas and so far love it! Perfect size, soft brushed leather, and the red zipper just adds to its amazing looks. I can hold my sunglasses, small wallet, large cell phone, keys, and lipstick and still have plenty of room for more.
