My feet are really hard to fit. I have really wide feet but very narrow heels, and a few years ago I managed to fracture my sesamoid bone just from walking. So even though I'm only in my 40s, I feel like my feet have aged faster than I have. So it's been really difficult lately to find shoes that fit. I had thought that I was only going to be able to wear lace up shoes, but on a whim I tried these and they are amazingly comfortable. I'm not even sure how it's possible. I loved them the moment I put them on, and I even took a chance wearing them out in NYC (where I walk everywhere) without really trying them out much on a short walk first. And I didn't have a moment of discomfort. Highly recommend.

This is serious. Read. Finally, I've found an ankle boot to love. Moderate arch support, possibly more than moderate. I have a very narrow heel. This is a passable width. Any wider, it would be no go. No pressure in the metatarsal or toes, a must for me, a ballet and Pilates class person. I also have very strong feet, which I think are necessary for this shoe. Weak ankles could roll in. Beware. Great walkers. I'm so happy with this boot. Will purchase a second pair.

These booties are great. They are soooo comfortable. The leather is soft and supple and the heel is just the right height for standing and walking. They are definitely casual, but have style. I usually wear a size 7 in most shoes, unless they run wide. I first ordered size 38 and if I had kept those, I would have worn very heavy, warm socks with them. I decided to try the size 37 before keeping the original pair and I liked the fit better. I can still wear warm wool socks with them, but thin ones. I feel like the shoes really fit in the 37 rather than being big in the 38. I know I will wear these all the time.

I hesitated to buy these as I usually need laces to get a shoe to fit right without my narrow heel coming up, and on the other hand I need a toe box that doesn't squeeze my arthritic big toes. But wow, these really were comfortable right out of the box, just as other reviewers said. I wore them walking around the city and they did just fine, and looked nicer than just wearing black sneakers, which is my go-to for city shoes that can withstand lots of walking on sidewalks. Very nice.

Love this boot!! They look great with jeans and are not a shiny black leather. Good traction during rain. Easy to put on and take off because of the side zipper. I’m normally a size 10 in boots and these fit perfectly. Definitely recommend.

Overall I liked the style and shoe material. Sadly, the fit wasn't quite right for me. I tried on both my usual size 41 and then the 42. The problem was that it was too narrow even though I typically wear a regular width shoe. The 42 was too big length-wise. I do like to have room to move but this shoe felt narrow in the width area especially with a medium-heavier sock. I had to return both sizes.

True to size. I loved how they hugged my ankles and didn’t rub. The soft leather made them so comfortable with no break in needed. I walked for 3 weeks in France wearing this shoe in mostly rainy and damp weather. Never got wet. I am going to buy in another color.

I wear a size 40 in Birkenstocks and 9.5 in Brooks running shoes... but typically I'm a size 9. These fit me in a size 39. I've been looking for some little work booties - and I think these do the trick! I have a toes that are not used to being smushed and a narrow heel. I also have high arches and dream of having cute shoes that are also supportive. These are not super supportive - but I think they're good enough. I have narrow ankles and they again fit well. It feels unauthentic to give too much of a review as I've only worn them around the house thus far. I need to wear thin socks with them - and I'll want them to stretch a little bit through the toe box - but they're leather so this should be a non issue. Finally! Little work booties that fit, are comfy and cute!

I love these booties. Like many Ecco styles, they run a bit large so a Euro size down was the right fit for me. I found them comfortable out of the box and more so as they molded to my feet. The soft and quiet rubber sole was secure and grippy enough on a variety of surfaces, including strolling museums, striding on park paths, and navigating cobblestone. The leather is nice quality but soft and supple, so I hope they can withstand the elements and what I predict will be frequent wearing. Simple minimalist style with just enough lift in the wedge sole to dress up or down, plus relatively light weight, make these an ideal travel bootie.

I never write reviews, but I love these so much, I just had to write this one. These booties are indescribably comfortable and just adorable! From the moment I put them on, they felt like they were made for my feet. Perfect amount of support, flexible sole, beautiful leather, and just enough of a heel to give a boost but not feel like you're wearing a "heel". I hate having to take them off at the end of the day! Couldn't be happier. I should say, tho, that the size 39 was big (I usually wear a size 8), so I returned those for a size 38, which are perfect. Thanks Zappos for your easy, free returns!

The ECCO Skyler Wedge Bootie is so comfortable that I have bought it in 3 colors...first the black, then the black and silver, and now, the cognac. The wedge gives solid footing in wet conditions and cushions against shock! This is the best bootie ever and looks great with leggings.

Love the look and feel of these shoes. I'm a server and on my feet all day, I wore these shoes right off the box for a 8hr shift. I have tendenitous in my Achilles, making it really hard to find good shoes. These were great! Highly recommend.

I have been looking for a short gray boot for a couple of seasons, and I am a big fan of ECCO shoes. These boots did not disappoint! The steel gray is classy and the leather on the gray style has an attractive pebble finish. I especially appreciate that they do not rub on my shin when I walk and the zipper on one side as well as a "vent" on the opposite side ensure comfort. I wore them all day the first day with no need to break them in. They have wonderful arch support. I usually wear a 41 in ECCO shoes and these were true to size. I liked them so much that I ordered a sale pair in burgundy pair (more like a cordovan brown/burgundy). The leather on the burgundy pair does not have the pebble finish-it is smooth. I did need to massage the front of that boot where it contacted my shin a few times, but they were great for wearing all day right out of the box as well. My feet are happy!

This a beautiful wedge boot, lovely color, great height, all day comfort. I was able to pull on the boot but it took all my strength to do do. After getting the boot on it felt true to size and width. This boot must be returned as I do not have enough time/strength to struggle to get dressed every day, or even several times a day to wear a shoe. I shall keep looking at other brands. Perhaps, two zippers are necessary due to the fitted structure of the boot.

I bought these months ago in nubuck grey and have been wearing them practically every day. I usually wear 8 1/2-9. I ordered a 39 and 40, and ended up keeping the 39, which fit perfectly, so I guess they run large (I can even wear them with fairly thick socks). The soles are removable and so I easily inserted my own inserts for extra cushioning. I have bad knees, pound the streets of New York City every day, and so need shoes that both look nice for work and provide a lot of cushioning. These work perfectly. They especially look good with jeans tight at the ankle. I am considering buying another pair because the toe of the present pair is becoming slightly scuffed, though still looks fine. They are so comfortable that I feel like I should buy another pair before the style is discontinued.

First, let me tell you about my feet so you can judge for yourself whether these would be right for you - narrow, long (size 9 usually), flat-footed (no arches), thin ankles, hammertoes. Finally - a pair of ankle boots I didn't end up returning! Most boots/booties don't end up fitting my feet at all - even if they fit the length, they are usually far too wide and baggy at the ankle and generally feel like a heavier version of wearing tissue boxes on my feet. Worn with medium-thick socks, these fit fairly well, maybe a touch on the large side. They were still a little bigger/not as form-fitting in the ankle than I'd like, but after trying countless pairs, they're close enough. There is plenty of room in the toes. I thought briefly about trying them in half-size down, but I decided they probably wouldn't be as comfortable at the end of the day in a smaller size. The best thing about them is the width - they feel normal to me, but I suspect people with wider feet might disagree. The first time I wore them, I wore them for around 4 hours, and they still felt comfortable when I took them off.

It's not often i can give a 5 star, given the foot trouble needs combined with very specific hopes for design. Design/ quality wise, i wanted a mat black leather short boot that can work well with casual but also somewhat dressy. Foot problem wise- i have very high arches/ plantar issues, small bunions so need sufficient (but don't always need a wide), and I can at times have discomfort in metatarsal area left foot. These booties did it all!

I am so happy with these boots! I have had trouble finding ones that are truly gray and not a shade of taupe. These match my gray outfits well. They are extremely comfortable for long days of teaching and provide wonderful support. I usually need inserts for my arches but not when I wear these. I'm very pleased.

They as comfortable as tennis shoes but dressier. Love them!

Really like these--although I wish the toe were a little more rounded/less pointed. Very comfortable and I love the gray color.

This ecco wedge boot is perfect. I wear a size 8, and i got the 8-8.5 and they fit just right. The leather is very soft. The wedge is perfect, not to high. I LOVE< LOVE< LOVE them !!!!Get them and you will be happy and so will your feet!!!

I wear an 8.5, and a 39 fit perfectly. When I took these out of the box, my first thought is that they aren't very fashionable, but now I love them. Tried them on with a pair of skinny jeans, and stood up to look in the mirror. That is when I decided to keep them. I tried them on with a skirt too. There is something about these shoes. They have a European sass and don't make the foot look huge. As all of the other reviewers say, they are sooo comfortable. My husband and I are on the go a lot, so I really need a workhorse. The rubber bottom makes them more Michigan friendly (wood-heel shoes only work when the weather is dry). They are smart and cute. I have bunions, and the shoes don't bother me.

These shoes are super comfortable, easy to put on, and I can walk in them for hours!! The zippers make them easy to put on and take off. They look great with jeans! They are not shiny black, more of a dull black, but leather.

These boots are so comfortable straight out of the box! I've wanted a pair of cute boots but something supportive also and these fit the bill. They are definitely more blue-grey than grey.
