Really like the shoes. Different type of shoe than I am used to. Using as an all-around shoe, not a trail running shoe. Excellent grip and stability, which is important to me.

It's a good work shoe

I've had them now for over 6 months and they are my go-to shoe for many things. I wear them to the office, on dog walks, work in the garden, etc. Consequently, the soles have worn down a fair amount. Time to buy a new pair I suppose. I'm glad they come in this width because I think with age my feet have gotten wider.

Width and size in general seem right but the shoe tapers in at the great toe profoundly. Not sure if it is a defect in this shoe or in the style.

After reading that they ran a little small, I ordered a half size larger. Fit perfectly. Good beefy soul perfect for hikes with the dog, not heavy shoes. Overall very happy.

Have to reorder. Have to order in larger size. 1/2 size at least. The width is good

I was so pleased when I pulled these out the box, but disappointed by the fit. By going up a size I found the 4E actually had sufficient toe width, but unfortunately the shoe is cut very narrow behind the toes. The shoe seems well constructed, so I fear there will be little or no give. Nice aggressive tread on the sole, felt like it would cope with a stony trail.

The shoes look nice, but they are definitely 1/2 size short in the toe and the cushion is not very thick or supportive. More lightweight than expected.

Have worn same shoes before, these were way too tight and narrow even though in same exact size as previous ones. Returned...

bought these to replace the great pair I had, but VERY dissapointed that the toe box is too narrow!! Not enough room for my toes, and i have never had this problem with other NB shoes. I got then got the more expensive but good KOM model, with plenty of toe room

I loved the old model, and bought these after the tread got too worn for steep trails. Same great shoes BUT the toe box is Way too narrow! I then ordered the KOM model, a little more money, but they fit well (and a better color, especially in gray/silver, which doesn't show dirt as much)

I bought these to replace the ones i bought a couple of years ago, which i really like (the tread has worn too much), but i am disappointed to find that the toe area is much narrower and too tight to wear comfortably !!! I have been wearing New Balances for years, and i was sad to have to send these back ....

Just got them today. Uncomfortable right outta the box. No arch support. My great toe rubbed up against the box. Shoe lace doesn't look like it would last the life of the shoe.

looks great but fit not up to new balance old quality.Toe doesnt line up with heel. Ive been a new balance customer for years and I think their quality is slipping.

I wear New Balance 10.5 4E (US Size). I must have owned 20 pair in this size. Perfect fit. This shoe is far too narrow in front and too short. My toes bump up against the front and top. The front sides squeeze and hurt. It looks like this model stitches the tongue much farther than my other New Balance. In addition, this show was delivered 2 weeks ago. It is wearing out? See picture.

I recently bought a pair of New Balance Shoes size 10 1/2 and 4e width that fit exactly as advertised. These are not those shoes. I bought these with the intention of hiking during a camping trip this fall and never have I felt so much pain in any pair of shoes I have purchased. The size felt about one size too small and it felt like a normal width shoe. It became excruciating after a couple of miles. I will never buy these again.

Fit and size ok at first. The material, mostly feeling like plastic, has stretched in the short time I’ve had them. Now my foot is not well supported. Even with new third party insoles, they are uncomfortable. Will throw out as soon as I get a replacement. New Balance has lost me as a customer.

Ordered these for my husband, who needs 4E shoes. He normally wears 10.5, but these were too small. So we ordered 11s. Length was OK but his big toe rubbed the side of the toe box. Had to return these too. I'm disappointed that NB toe box has gotten smaller, esp for people with extra wide feet!

I really liked the style and fit of these shoes, however the quality is terrible. After barely a 1.5 months of wear, one of the shoelace eyelets has fallen apart. If that is happening after such a short period of time, I don't have much confidence that these shoes will last very long. Very disappointing.

This shoe and it seems any NB mfg in Indonesia runs small in U.S. sizes, especially the right shoe. I wear and was measured for an 11.5 at a shoe store borderline D width so I ordered an 11.5, 4E and they were short in length and felt like an 11 especially the right shoe. I then ordered two U.S. size 12/4E and the right again was short on one of the pair. Of the three pairs I had to return two pairs.
