Bought these for husband along with both more and less expensive options, but he decided against this shoe immediately, even though he has other similarly styled shoes he likes. He found these heavy and running a little small, by comparison to the other shoes we ordered here (Sketchers & Cole Haan). There was no interest in trying a half size up. These seem like good shoes but didn’t work for the average 10D seeking a lighter shoe for travel. As with all shoes, just depends on the person and the feet. So, I’m not rating these down too far - I’m sure they are perfect for someone else. Just not my hubby for his present need. Many who read lots of reviews (especially here) probably know that more of the ‘comfort’ brands (like this one) run a little heavier for both men & women. Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn’t. This time, it didn’t work out. It’s still a solidly built shoe! Just not what was sought after this time.

These are clunkier than they look.

I'm writing these as i'm about to order another pair. I bought these in May 2018. I liked the design. They were comfortable and aged well. The only reason i'm having to buy new ones is that the sole has finally broken. The pictures show the shoes now, 4 years later.

I have foot issues and need a wide toe box and a lot of support. Can no longer wear Allen Edmonds. Born’s are absolutely fantastic.

My husband said these aren’t his style. But he noted that they are very heavy.

Excellent pair of shoes. I have had the same pair since 2019 and they have held up very well. Including the sole cushion support which is just now starting to give. Would definitely buy another pair.

These are my go to work shoes for day to day. I usually wear a size 9.5 in running shoes but went all the way to an 8 with these shoes so they aren't sloppy and loose. Being leather, they need some breaking in and are initially tight. After that, they're awesome and get used 5 days a week for 10 hours a day. They do not have removable insoles, so once the footbed is worn, they're done which makes them a bit expensive to replace.

Bought these as a gift for Christmas so will not be able to give a Review until after received as a Gift...BUT came on time...overall and style look gorgeous....bought in both this color and black! Fingers crossed will not be disappointed! I have purchased Borns before for him and he was very pleased! Thanks Zappos!

Bought these after buying a pair of the brown color of the same in size 10. The black are much more true to the size of old Born shoes. The brown 10 is a little tight.

This is my second pair of Born shoes that I purchased from Zappos. My first pair (with laces) are now five years old and still in great shape. My new Born shoes are "slip ons" and I really like their styling. More importantly they fit extremely well (don't worry about size variation) they are very comfortable and extremely well made. The newer cloth based shoes from other manufacturers can't compare in quality to Born shoes! If you like them, don't hesitate. Buy them...

My husband loves the tied hiking boot look, usually and rarely buys shoes. Since we’re leaving for Japan soon and he’ll be expected to remove his shoes upon entering temples, etc., I thought theses might be a good alternative to his usual style.. He tried them on and was sold. Comfortable, arch support and perfect width and length.

Color Grey is not what expected. It's more brown than grey.

Fit well, excellent material and workmanship. I have been wearing Born for over 10 yrs for work. I stand many hours.

I like the shoes a lot. They are very roomy in the toe box... more than I care to have but not enough to return. Overall, a comfortable shoe.

Nice shoes that have a comfortable fit. I wear them with khakis and jeans at work. I probably have a larger than average width and thickness foot, and the fit is just right on me. It would probably feel too loose if you had a narrow foot.

Heels are cracking with little use.

The front seem ripped out within 5 months. Not impressed with that quality. Not buying this company again.

They fit well, and they feel very durable. Easy to slip on.

I really like these shoes. They look great, slip on easily, and are a good weight for me. Durability would be expected to be good. All leather tops well sewn together from a reputable company. Recommended

Comfortable from first use. Nearly all my shoes are size 8. This size 8 shoe fit well.

This is my second pair. They're great.

Runs a little large and feels more so because of the stretchy hoeing on the sides. Overall still very comfortable and lightweight. Easy on and off. Decent support for casual wear. Probably not ideal for heavy duty walking. Leather is good quality and appears durable. Should last well for occasional/casual wear. Doesn’t appear to be designed for everyday wear.
