I couldnt hold my downward dog without slipping, even turned it over. Very aggravating. Very disappointed as this was the instructor mat. I salted as instructed. Will return.

while the price seemed steep initially, I appreciate not only the quality of the mat but the door it opened to the online classes etc . an excellent way to get back in to practice after a number of years due to knee issues. The mat itself is also a game changer for those of us with problem knees!

good grip, better than pro lite, perfect for ashtanga practice

I love this mat, its my 2nd one Ive purchased. They are completely stable, no slipping during class and big enough for my husband. My husband is 63, 260lbs and he fits on these mats. I will recommend to friends.

Extra length is perfect! Old Manduka Mat became too short, Guess yoga is making me taller :)

I have been practicing yoga regularly for two years on a 10 mat. Let me just say how much of an improvement this manduka pro is for me. I received it a month ago and have been practicing every day since. After a week I already felt that the mat was less slippery, and now it's perfectly broken. This means that I slip way less than on my (not so good) old mat - without a towel. The mat stays in place, and I can really dig into my feet without having to worry about the mat tearing apart. Overall my joints feel protected, I find more depth in core practice and a gentle ground welcomes my back when doing restorative yoga. Added bonus, the color is rich, beautiful and helps calm my nervous system. I plan to buy a pro lite soon for outside practice.

Great mat! Firm yet supportive.

I really like the extra thickness of this mat. The mat protects my back and ankles which used to deter me from practicing yoga and Pilates.

The mat is comfortably thick and the extra length and width really helps to relax and enjoy the space to flow. Sure it makes the mat heavy, but its perfect for home training. The only downside is the lack of friction. Even after the salting and almost daily use for two weeks theres no more friction yet. Im committed to try and break the mat in, but it frustrating that it is so slippery and has this persistent industrial smelling residue that makes my palms and feet clammy after training.

After the "breaknig in" with the sea salt method the mat is perfect for my daily Ashtanga Yoga practice. Perfect!

I wish I didnt have to break it in - thats a pain. I like the longer length and the thickness, but until I have it broken in I cant be sure. Im in my third salt treatment!

I love the thick mat, but it is insanely slippery even after breaking it in according to the instructions.

I like it! It is so dang heavy. Thats the only downside. I would have gotten another mat if I had known it was so heavy. Oh well.

I am 59 and have always been a little bummed about standard yoga mat size. Many times Im hanging off the end. Not the worst thing in life, but a nuisance. I splurged and got the Long. WORTH IT! I love how much space I have on my mat! Plus a little extra width. Wonderful! I did not use salt to help break it in as suggested. I just wipe it down after each use and in less than a week of daily use, it is sticky! Dreamy. Im very very happy with this mat and grateful I can anticipate having it for the remainder of my yoga years!

The best mat Ive ever owned . Im a lifeforme mat person but Ive been converted ! This mat is sticky and plenty of cushion for my flow .

A little slippery

Absolutely love it!

This mat is cut crookedly and is annoying to constantly fix in class. I even looked at the back side of the mat since there's a consistent pattern and the way they cut the mat is not straight. Besides that, the mat is decent and is decently grippy after a salt wash
