This was my third purchase of Hoka shoes. I love my Arahi shoes and hiking boots. In comparison, these shoes had no cushioning or support. I was really looking forward to enjoying these shoes all summer as they are lightweight and breathable. I have hammertoes and need a deeper toebox and ball of foot cushioning, but these shoes did not meet my needs. I was hoping that Hoka would expand into cushiony casual shoes, but if this shoe exemplifies a move in that direction I hope they amp up the cushioning.

These seem to have less cushion then the Clifton 1 and 2. I intermingle two ti three pairs at a time and can tell the difference between my Clifton 2 and this 3. Every time I wear them, which is a total 67 miles so far, I get a blister on my right foot pad. I have not had running blisters in 3 years and am a ironman and marathoner. Cliftons have saved my feet but I would return these if I could.

My husband bought me this shoe and it was to small so I had to return them. Through online chat I was told to order a whole size up only to find out they were sold out of that size. They said they should have more sizes in stock in mid June, so I'm waiting and checking the website periodically so I can reorder the shoe.

Let me start by saying, perhaps there is not a HOKA for me. Bondi is too heavy. Clifton and Speedgoat hoem those weird "Siderails" I call them, where the hard plastic of the sole rubs the side of the foot. I almost thought Infinite was for me (I dont' need too much stability, but have a high arch), but alas, blisters when I went long. Clayton 3 is so comfy, but really too soft and leads to sloppy running for me. So, I gave the Arahi a try. Also very comfortable right out of the box. The sole/underfoot for me is absolute perfection for long runs. The right combination of soft, but not "squishy" and supportive but lightweight. But, alas, there is a major flaw with the upper design. Actually a couple of flaws. First, the rubberized overall finish is not 'strechy' enough for my taste; my foot is much happier in a knit/flexible upper. But it's worse than that. If you feel closely, there is like a built in "strap' system in the upper, with one band across the midfoot, and another band that hits right at the side of the MTP joint. That's right were a shoe should 'give' to allow some splay when you land. Instead, your foot is like in a hard 'corset", with a seam on the inner side right at the MTP. result=blisters at that site. I would love, love , love this shoes, if the same sole came with a knit-type upper, but for now, this is a no-go for me.

I wish I could say I enjoy so much this shoes, bcs I love Hoka, but I cannot say it. I've been wearing them for almost a month and they already look wear out! They didn't fit so well, they run small (like 1/2 size) and too narrow. They are pretty tho...but I will definitely come back to Clifton 2

I am an active runner and train for multiple half marathons per year. I decided to try these after hearing great feedback on Hokas and my need for a stability show. But...I am so disappointed. The first run out they felt great for 3 miles, but by the 4th mile it felt like a had a cheese grater rubbing my arches. The insole is too narrow and cut into my arch so badly I cut my run short and limped a mile home. I couldn't get these off fast enough. I really wanted to keep and like these, because they took the impact well and my ankle had the support it needed without KT tape. Very disappointed that I'll be returning these. :-(

The show was lightweight which was nice. The shoe was too wide for my feet, so my foot slid around a lot inside the shoe, causing bad blisters on my toes and the ball of my foot. My feet also sweat a lot in them. My feet felt hot and burning during my runs. The shoe had great support and cushion though.

I ended up having to return these because they are Stability shoe, and I needed Neutral. I could feel that these were very much Stability

These shoes were great when I first bought them. They eliminated midfoot pain I was experiencing and they felt so great that I ordered a second pair. After about 3 weeks and a 5 mile run, the entire rest of my foot started hurting. First, the inside of my midfoot, where the insole meets the inside of the shoe, started to get raw, to the point of blistering. Then the whole outside of my feet, then the arch. It got so bad that I took the insoles out for the last 2 miles of an 8-mile run. I tried to just wear them for casual wear and my feet couldn't take it. I had probably only run about 60 miles in these shoes and they felt like they just broke down. If I slipped my foot in the newer shoes, it felt was super cushioned, but the original shoe just felt flat and completely uncomfortable. I'm pretty bummed they didn't work out.

I really love Hokas. I have several pairs. I tried this shoe 3 different ways, 3 sizes. I could not get a good fit. This shoe ran a full size longer/wider than my Bondi 5's. Tried a regular and it felt "too light" no support. When I tried the wide I swam in it both in my regular size and a half size smaller. I will stick with Bondi 5 for now.

I love the look of these and bought them to have a pair of shoes that I use exclusively at the gym for studio strength and cardio classes. They are light and comfortable but they have no traction. I've never worn shoes that are so slippery before and since I've worn them, now own them. There is such little traction that my feet even slip using the elliptical. I wouldn't recommend these for any type of cardio workout except maybe on a treadmill and walking outside on a sidewalk.

Find it very interesting, that I submitted a review a couple of days ago... sadly it was unfavorable,, and yet, it doesn't show up in the list of reviews.. Clearly, you have chosen to show only those favorable to you.. which can be very misleading to customers. Might want to reconsider being a little more transparent.

The 9.5 was huge on me, which I normally wear in a running shoe. I sized down to a 9. I was concerned that it would be too tight and narrow to run in but I tried any way. I was right. I got blisters on the outer toe on both sides.

I have been purchased this shoe many times. This particular shoe, however, runs narrow and is uncomfortable. I am very disappointed.

I have worn the Bondi style for several years. Was looking for something different for wearing around the house but same comfort as my Bondi...no comparison, sent them back.

my Dr. recommended this shoe which I purchased but then the shoe was too narrow, spoke to a Hoka representative and they said they would send the shoe in a wide, didn't happen.

Extremely uncomfortable from the very first step. Felt as if there was a bar pressing down on the top of my foot when I walked.

This is the only brand of shoe a nurse should buy. However, I will purchase in store as the customer service is extremely poor via this site.

I bought these to go to Europe, lots of walking, wanted basic black to go wth travel clothes. I even choose a size bigger to account for foot swelling. They are too narrow on sides and on top. They are light.

Very stiff with no cushion. Painful near the joint of the big toe. I was really hoping these would be a good shoe for me.
