I bought these shoes as a supportive "everyday" shoe. I run in HOKA brand so was very excited when these came out. When I first put them on I was a little disappointed that they were more narrow in the toe box than I was used to. After a few wears they stretched a bit and now fit like a glove. They are extremely comfortable and result in NO pain whatsoever when I wear them all day.

I bought this shoe to replace my Nike flyknits that I literally 'wore out'! I decided to see how they were for running, as I was running in a Hoka Stinson lite due to having had knee issues at my 'over 50' age. Stinson's helped tremendously, and I loved them other than the 'clunky/bulky' look. I really didn't think the Hupana's would 'work' for my running as they were so much lighter/didn't seem like they could possibly have the cushion. I was pleasantly surprised and this is now my 'go to' shoe. SO comfortable. My only 'complaint' is that in a Stinson, I wore an 8 for running purposes (normal shoe is 7 1/2). In a Hupana, the 8 was 'long', but I decided to keep them as I liked them so much. I just ordered a second pair in a 7 1/2 and they were perfect. Now I wish I'd sent the 8's back within the 30 days (it's been a little over 60 days).
Go a 1/2 size smaller and it will be good (same size as my Nike flyknits).

For review perspective.... I am a 43 year old casual road/pavement female runner and I run 3-5 miles each about 3-5 days a week with an average sub-9 p/mile pace. I am a smaller person with a heavy heel strike, short strides and my left foot is mostly neutral but I battle supination with the right foot. I sometimes do longer distances and bought the Arahi's after suffering a painful setback with an IT band/knee injury during a recent Half Marathon. My previous Hoka experience was from the Clifton 3's I had to stop wearing last year because they were great on my knees/shins but terrible on my Plantar Fasciitis.
The Arahi's are lightweight and have the great Hoka cushiness without sacrificing support and stability - that's a big deal in my opinion. I've had no pain from my knee on/after runs during my recovery using the Arahi's. As an added bonus, I have not had to change out the insole in the right foot because these do not cause my PF to flare at all. I am not yet back up to pace but I can tell these are better for speed than the Cliftons. PLUS, unlike most running shoes, they are incredibly comfortable walking shoes and also garner compliments on their appearance even from non-Hoka owners (I have the generic black/peach pair).
I have only found two negatives.... One, the heels are loose so "flop" just a little while running even with lacing changes and this can make the heel to toe transition less smooth in spite of the great early meta rocker design. Two, I have a wider forefoot and these do not have the wider toebox I was anticipating from Hoka, this style is a little narrower but not enough to cause discomfort so far. The "cons" aren't enough to drop a star in rating for a shoe that is saving my sanity by putting me back out on the road running in comfort.

I've worn these on a 5 mile walk and a 3 mile run and around town. So far, I really like them. My feet are on the wider side, so I also bought the wide version to compare. My feet were swimming in the wides and the regular width had one snug spot which has gone away. They are lightweight and quite stable. I had tried one of the more plush models which I did not like at all. Too squishy. The Arahi has just enough. They make me wicked psyched to start running again!

The show was lightweight which was nice. The shoe was too wide for my feet, so my foot slid around a lot inside the shoe, causing bad blisters on my toes and the ball of my foot. My feet also sweat a lot in them. My feet felt hot and burning during my runs. The shoe had great support and cushion though.

Having a bone disease in my left leg causing numerous surgeries on bones and knee left me with no cartilage at all. I have been in constant pain just when walking and trying to hold off on a knee replacement since I have been told due to my weak bones it may not work and I could lose my leg. I went to a local running store to see if there was anything that could help. I have now had these Arahi shoes for about a week and they are a godsend!! With the help of an insert and these shoes I am able to walk without much pain in my knee!! I would have never imagined it was possible.. thank you for such a great shoe!

It takes getting used to wearing them. My heels feel sore when just standing. Good shoes for being active.

This is my new everyday all the time shoe. Very very comfy and Yes I can run in them! But I can walk, shop, go out, anything in it too. Super cute and have received a lot of great complements on them. I'm buying another pair in a different color soon, but this one will be my favorite for a long long time!

I use this as my all around workout shoe. Gym workouts, running errands, playing 5 hrs of pickleball a week and have 1 pair dedicated to mud running. Great shoe that is my forever grab and go.

Still looking for a supportive black sneaker that can be used to referee sports. This is a HUGE market for both men and women, so if Hoka can figure this out, they might increase sales:)

These shoes are light weight yet absorb the impact of running. They have simple lines and the sole is not as large as a normal Hoka shoe.

I can wear this shoe from running on the road to running to the grocery store. Very comfortable, a little tight in the tongue area. Also a little more narrow than normal Hoka's.
