I just started getting more serious with running and am starting to run ultras. I've been running in asics my whole running career. I'm experimenting with different shoe types such as hoka, altra, and soon saucony. This is my first hoka pair and decided to get hoka for the pronation control and stability. I have over-pronation issues on my right side since my right foot is flat. I was on mile 37 in my first 50 mile trail ultra this past April and decided to switch with these. They did a wonderful job! I finished strong and the transition is smooth. I know these aren't trail shoes (im still experimenting) but I think they do just fine in the Minnesota trails. I am thinking of investing in the speedgoat 2 but I think it's too late to start in a new shoe in hoka that I know nothing about. So for my next 50 mile race this month, I'll invest in another pair of these since I know they did me good 3 months ago! I ran a 30 mile training run in these and although I did blister and get a black toenail with these, I honestly think that's what happens when you run long distance. It's very DURABLE. No tears at all yet. The bottom of the shoe still looks alright too! Like I said, definitely buying again. If you're more of a road runner, these are for you! Especially if you have over-pronation issues. Also, I am grateful they come in WIDES! I am a 7.5 and i ordered a 7.5. If it's not a wide, I will have to order a size 8 for hoka. (me wearing hokas in picture attached).

I have plantar fasciitis and stopped running for few months due to the pain. After buying 2 other new shoes that didn't help much , I bought these and with the Pro inserts, I can run without hurting now. I love them!!!

I love these shoes. A LOT. The only problem I have at the moment is that I bought them less than a month ago and the soles of my shoes are falling apart. :( I did talk to the customer service of Hoka and they're exchanging my shoes for new! I cannot wait!!

My last pair of Hoka shoes (which I should have replaced a year ago but loved so much) had laces that did not have to be tied. I really like that feature and had hoped these would be the same.

I was told by my podiatrist to buy a shoe with high stability since I've started developing several foot issues since I severely sprained my ankle and tore a tendon in my foot. My sister and brother-in-law are major athletes and recommended I try Hokas. I wear a wide shoe. The Ahari is the only Hoka with a high stability index that comes in women's wide. The only color in wide is the medieval blue/lavender which was OK with me. Bought a pair of Ahari shoes and - wow - terrific. I can tell there is so much support. I was so pleased that I thought I should get a second pair - just in case these are discontinued. Got my second pair and they fit great, too. BUT the laces were very short - one is so short I barely tie it. I replaced the laces with a pair of black ones from the store and every time I wear this pair, I grumble to myself and others that the laces aren't as cute as the original. My sister pointed out that Hokas are known for guarantee plus they aren't cheap...so why not email Deckers and ask that they send replacement laces since that was clearly a machine mistake (like the lace were cut too soon when the nib was put on the end). I did. The response was there are no replacement "parts" and I would have to return the pair of shoes. What??? While I'm barely within my 30 day free return, I've thrown away the box they came in, and I don't want to hassle with returning a perfectly fine fitting pair of shoes. I've found another vendor that carries Hokas and Deckers will not be getting any future business from me. Buy this shoe if you want a women's wide that has great stability. Do not buy this shoe from Deckers as they have no flexibility in their customer service policies and won't work with you.

Throws my foot into pronation and knee into valgus and i felt as if my foot was falling off the medial edge of the sole even when I replaced the insoles with a higher arch and metatarsal bubble.

This is my first pair of Hoka shoes and I am pleasantly surprised with how comfortable they are. Extremely lightweight and cushioned. I am a runner and haven't tried running in them yet but I've used them for walking and for fitness classes and they were perfect. I'm pleased with my new shoes!

Much better looking than the hoka Clifton I used to wear, a very sharp looking shoe. Training for a marathon and transitioned to this shoe in the middle of my training and I have had no problems transitioning. The mesh top feels better on the top of my foot than the more structured Clifton.

I had Hoka sneakers but decided to try a new kind of style...not too much of a fan but these do the job. What is annoying is that there's this pattern sewn on the side of the right shoe that rubs through my sock and caused a blister on the side of my foot.

I bought this shoe for an 80 mile hike in Scotland. I will never buy another shoe! My feet were comfortable every step I took?

Very good support. The only thing I do not care for is the rocking backward at the heel. I am sure it will just take time to get used to.

Not your typical "FreeRuns". These shoes are so stylish!!! Don't be that average "just do it" athlete.

So far, I've only used them for walking. This is not a con, but because the cushion is so great, while driving, it is a bit interesting how the foot on the petal is hard to feel.

I run about 20 miles per week. They feel too wide when I start out but as my run goes on they feel fine. I live the cushion and stability.

Love running in these shoes! I'm mostly a treadmill runner and get out on the road once in awhile. These shoes are great so far for my 3-4 mile runs. Also, Hoka's service was great; easy to exchange for a smaller size.

These seem to have less cushion then the Clifton 1 and 2. I intermingle two ti three pairs at a time and can tell the difference between my Clifton 2 and this 3. Every time I wear them, which is a total 67 miles so far, I get a blister on my right foot pad. I have not had running blisters in 3 years and am a ironman and marathoner. Cliftons have saved my feet but I would return these if I could.

Bought these at Run On in Coppell, TX with Cheyenne and couldn't be happier! Loved the experience and love the shoes. I was skeptical at first because they look like they'd be heavy- but they're super comfortable and light. She described them as "marshmallow-like" and I'm excited to train more in them. I have back issues but love running and expressed pain in my shins with my last shoes- these were perfect.
