Great shoes! I ordered a half size larger than normal as Hoka's seem to run a little small. Generally speaking, my knees are pretty much shot (3 surgeries apiece) so I like the extra cushion Hoka's provide for my joints but I wanted a shoe that isn't colored like a peacock during mating season. These shoes, in basic black, look great and are still very comfortable (they are not quite as well padded as the normal Hoka running shoe but that has not been an issue as they provide plenty of cushion). I wear them to work as well as out and about; they're good for just about anything. The other (possible) issue was that many people have reported that the toe area runs quite narrow. As someone who likes room to move their digits around, I expected this to be a deal killer. However, I found that, while the toe area is somewhat narrow, the shoe being canvas allows for it to stretch and form around my toes with no scrunching issue. All together, it turned out to be a non-issue and I'm considering buying another pair just in case Hoka decides to discontinue the Hupana (for no other reason than I like it; oddly enough, that seems to happen in life). Great shoe, highly recommended.

My feet are in the midst of a torrid love affair with these shoes. I'm no 26.2 or even a 13.1'er, but I've trained for over 30 years. Primarily short track, sprints and extremely brisk dog walks. From the second I put these on, my feet fell in love. I went the minimalist route for a couple of years and, while I like the response, now that I've worn these, I'll stick with the Audi to "feel the road". They feel like they're made of memory foam. Extremely well made. My big toes (Andy and Red) have a history of tearing thru and escaping the upper toe box of every shoe I have owned. These have shown no mercy. Look as good as day one. I recommend for any runner type or any one over 50. Your feet, your entire lower body, will thank you.

great shoe.These are my first hoka's i'm very active and pound my feet . my feet are 10.5 - 11 and sometimes a 10.5 fits better and sometime its 11. with hoka 11 is perfect very absorbent and i really notice that there is less shock on my legs and the rest of me. i do have bulky feet not wide but high on top. I take the soles out of many shoes or replace with thin soles. my feet like a rather flat sole. I was pleased when I took the sole out of these shoes and it was a flat nicely conformed soft bed underneath. I don't think I have ever had shoes that take so much shock out of my day. takes 2 days to break in and after that it just keeps getting better. i chose the green color because it looked like camo and it does I like it. buy this shoe.

Needed a few hours to break in and for the shoe to relax, but was able to wear it for a full day straight out of the box. I have not worn other Hoka shoes, but comfort is VERY good with definitely a bit more padding than you'd expect out of a life style shoe like this. Definitely noticing less feet fatigue than with some of my "less cushy" rides. Runs a bit narrow, but works for me as I have relatively narrow feet. Looks better than in the picture with the print.
