I almost didn't buy these due to mixed reviews. I bought these in brown leather. At size 9, I feel like these run true to size. I really needed my true size 8.5 but purchased 9 due to reviews. They felt a little long but I can wear them with thicker sock. I have wider foot (do not usually need wide though) and high instep and these shoes fit just fine. They are snug but very comfortable. Other reviewers mentioned shoes being too tight or instep was too tight but I did not find it as such even though I have wider foot and high instep. Also, toe box height was just fine. These look great, zipper outside (vs inside) looks more stylish. Also, these shoes don't have that chunky boot look.

In the pst three weeks, I have ordered three different pairs of ankle boots from Zappos. The first two pairs were uncomfortable and made my feet look HUGE! I have worn Clarks for years (I should have begun with them) and this is the first pair to really feel comfortable. I have a bunion on my right foot and found that many boots are too tight to accommodate the widest part of my foot. This pair of shoes have enough "give" in the leather that they are perfect! Additionally, they are great looking and I am certain that these booties and I will walk lots of miles together. Thank you to Zappos for being so accommodating as I searched for my fall/winter boots.

Very cute and looks awesome with cropped or ankle jeans. The front part is pretty narrow. The hell is pretty wide and slips. Not sure if I can keep them for the heel slippage. I can live with the narrow front. Hard to answer the size rating question for this reason--they are both too narrow and too wide!

I was so bummed when I tried these on. I ordered a half-size up, but it was just too narrow for me. The boot also wasn't wide enough from top to bottom - my foot felt pretty cramped. The zipper on the outside of the ankle was very strange as well. I had to send them back.

As soon as I tried this boot on, I knew they would be the winners. They comfort level was way beyond anything else I tried with a cushy sole with plenty of room for my bunions. They didn't squish my toes together. The brown leather had a nice give and it felt like they were already broken in. I was hoping for a lighter tan but overall this was the best option. They are dressy enough to wear with a casual dress or skirt and will also pair well with jeans or leggings.

Cute bootie, but color is definitely more wine-y than russet-y. I have had to return at least half a dozen pair of shoes over the past year or so because of bad color representation on Zappos' website. Nice shoe, though. Just wrong color

These run a half size (or more) too small. I ordered size 12. Out of luck! Nice looking, though a somewhat more pointed toe would look better. The mahogany color is rich and beautiful, as long as you don't mind the shiny toe effect.

Love these boots so much that this is my second pair! I ordered the brown last year and was thrilled they were still available so I ordered a black pair. They are so comfortable!!! I get so many compliments! No breaking in needed!!

Loved everything about the shoe, thought it was the one I'd like best of the 2 I bought, however, I chose the brown one and wasn't super crazy about the light colored sole. Someone who likes a two tone look will likely enjoy this more!

Love these boots! The only kind of strange thing is the zipper is on the outside of the boot. I don't mind it, I just found it interesting. Fits well and was super comfortable right out of the box.

The shoe felt shorter than normal and was very stiff. I also thought the photo online looked like suede, but it’s definitely not.

These shoes are so comfortable. I brought them on a European vacation where I walked 6-10 miles a day and they were perfect. Aesthetically, I really like the leather hombre. It makes the shoes unique, versatile, and stylish. These boots are a score.

Love these shoes! They are my go-tos in the fall. I will say that the texture of the leather is definitely a more unpolished, casual look, but I love the overall shape and style. They are very comfortable, but don't have a ton of arch support.

I love these boots! So comfortable. I wear them all day and they still feel good at the end of the day. Fits like a glove. Highly recommend.

These little booties are great! They felt a little tight at first, but after one day of wearing them they are super comfy. I think they might run sliiiightly small so if you like wearing thick socks, I might get a half size bigger (they were fine for me with thinner/normal socks or tights though).

I LOVE my Clark boots! I can wear them all day - so comfortable. I’ve had many compliments on them already. So glad I bought these!

Overall, I like these. the boot feels sturdy, but not clunky. It is perfect for walking around in cool to cold, but not wet weather. The suede probably wouldn't do too well in wet/snowy weather and the tread is not sufficient for snow or ice.

I just love these boots!

I love the Clark brand of shoes. They have always fit true to size with plenty of toe room. With this style of boot I needed to go a half size bigger and it is not as roomy as my previous Clark shoes and boots. I love the different style of boot and I am happy with the fit. I ordered boots from 3 different places and Zappos by far was the best site. Customer service was excellent with the return and reorder process. If you order from Zappos you can’t go wrong even if you don’t keep what you order!

I am probably more a 11.5 but find that buying a 12 provides room for comfy socks. I can't stand breaking in shoes so to be able to wear them on day one for roughly 10 hours straight without being uncomfortable is a miracle.

Super comfortable! Bought size I normally wear and it fits perfect. After trying many other brands I’m returning to Clark’s.

These boots a super cute! Fit very well. I am very happy with my purchase. In fact I purchased these 10 days ago, went to write this review and noticed they were 30% off. I reached out to customer service to inquire if I could receive a refund of 30%. I was in luck, if the price changes within 10 days of purchase they will give a refund. Awesome!!

I wear a size 8.5 sometimes 9 so I ordered the 9. Also have a narrow foot. These fit great! I wore them inside the house to be sure because the right foot seemed to fit a little snug around the front on my foot, but I stretched them a little and when I wore them out they felt great. Will need to wear very thin, short socks
